We had a relatively extensive job. Chris' crew showed up on a Monday morning and completed the job the following Saturday (which he had anticipated). His crew was very punctual, organized and efficient. We were kept up to date throughout the process (we moved out of the house for a week) and were very happy with the quality of the work. We really struggled with making the right choice on both the stain color and on the base for the finish (oil vs. water). We had input from Chris on both of these choices and couldn't be happier with the end result. The floors look great and it's really transformed the house. Over the years we had many quotes for our job and knew it would be pretty extensive given that we had both staircases redone. We did a lot of research and relied heavily on Angie's List in making our final decision to go with Chris and Superior. We certainly chose correctly and are very happy with the end result and the entire process in working with Chris. I would certainly use them again in the future and would highly recommend them to others looking for any hardwood project.

Chris Ciuclea came out to give me a rough estimate and within 24 hours I had a detailed estimate via email. Chris' team did an outstanding job sanding, buffing, and staining our hardwood floors. We had a couple of areas that were in pretty bad shape and you'd never know it to look at the floors now. Chris and Leo suggested we go with a darker stain and the floors look amazing. They left everything very clean and neat. Very professional and trustworthy. Great job!

Chris and his team were 100% professional from the time I received my quote to the completion of the hardwood floor installation. Chris offered several options, with various costs to consider. He brought over samples directly to my house and explained the differences in the products very thoroughly. With the many emails and questions I had, Chris was always timely with his responses. They started the job on time, always prompt at the beginning of each day, and finished ahead of schedule. Additionally, as I went with a new staircase and railings, he matched the flooring beautifully. Overall, I was extremely satisfied not only with the finished product, but with Chris and his entire team. One of the best company's I ever worked with.

Chris showed up at the appointed hour to assess the job and give me an estimate. Previous contractors had told me it would not be possible to lay fresh hardwood flooring and stain it to match the existing flooring (which is throughout the rest of the first floor of the house) because the existing flooring had been in place for ten years. Chris felt he could do it. And he did! Day one: Removed all the furniture out of the room, took down the drapes, removed the carpet (salvaging a sizable piece which had been under the bed and was, therefore, undamaged), and laid the new hardware. Day two: sanded the new flooring, stained to match and later spread the first coat of poly Day three: Two more coats of poly -- one in the AM and one in the PM Day four: Moved a very heavy Persian rug from another room into the bedroom, rehung the drapes and replaced the furniture. Even hooked the TV back up! The match is virtually perfect!! The only difference is that the newer flooring looks . . . well . . . newer and shinier! I've had many contractors in my home doing a variety of tasks over the years; I would rate Chris and Leo's courtesy, work ethic, skill, and pleasantness at the top. Could not have asked for better service -- always on time, courteous and definitely efficient! If you are considering a flooring project (and, presumably you are, or you wouldn't be reading this!), do yourself a favor and get one of those estimates from the appropriately-names Superior Hardware Floors! They did such a wonderful job. We just bought a house and found out the previous owner totally wrecked the floor when we removed the carpet. The floor was uneven and there was glue all over. Yes, the previous owner glue the pad down instead of using staples. Chris and Leo came in and scraped the glue down. Chris was practical. He found the most economic way of installation. He even talked me out of removing the existing floor, thus saving me money. The job they did was marvelous, especially around the corners. Their price is reasonable and they showed up on time or even early. Chris Always returned my text and answered all my questions. I could not be any happier.

AMAZING!!!! I cannot believe what a great job Superior Floors did on my floors! We bought an house built in 1956 which had white oak floors in all but the breakfast room and kitchen. Before we bought the house someone installed red oak floors in those 2 rooms and the colors were significantly different. Additionally we have 5 dogs who had managed to scratch the floors, so there was much to be done. Superior Floors came in, moved the large furniture out (and back in), INCREDIBLY matched the white and red oak flooring, and did an AWESOME job of refinishing the floors. They were punctual, pleasant, and efficient. My floors are absolutely GORGEOUS. I cannot recommend them highly enough. When we need to have the remainder of our floors done I certainly will be calling them again.

The guys were very helpful and professional through the entire process. They worked on the house while we were out of town and got everything completed very shortly after we returned. They did a nice job cleaning up all of the dust. We highly recommend this company. Overall very pleased how the entire process and product turned out. Thank you guys!

Excellent work and customer service. Wish I would have used Chris and Leo from the start. My contractor had recommended another company for small wood installation and complete refinish of my 2000+sq ft of hardwood floors. The final polyurethane coat was terrible--spots on the floor from polyurethane separation, debris in finish and different sheens between master bedroom and rest of house. Interviewed three Angie's List "A" rated companies for repair and selected Superior Hardwood Floors because of their knowledge, prompt communication and their willingness to go the extra mile. Their pricing is competitive. After looking at my floors, Chris offered to come out to test buff and coat one room so that I could see the sheen and their work. Looked great so I had them buff and coat all the hardwoods. They removed all the spots, removed most of the debris and the satin sheen looks wonderful and is consistent throughout the house. Chris took the time to answer all my questions and returned calls/texts promptly. Chris and Leo really care about the finished product and make sure their customers are completely satisfied with the work. What a pleasure to work with Chris and Leo. I HIGHLY recommend them and would definitely use them again.

Initially in 2006 I had a bad experience. After all of these years the company has called and is going to resolve the issues. My prior concerns were with a previous owner, but the new owner is being quite responsive.

Everything went perfect. Chris and his partner are fantastic to work with - very professional, prompt, great with communications, skilled, smart, timely, etc. They installed 1200 square feet of hardwood flooring in my home. I have no idea how they did it but the house stayed clean while they did their work. I expected a complete mess but that was not the case at all. The results are amazing. My floors look fantastic! I highly recommend using this company. I've gutted four home all over the country and worked with 40+ contractors. Superior Hardwood Floors is one of the best contractors we've ever worked with. So happy we hired them. There's a reason they are so busy - they are excellent at what they do!

All went great. Chris was punctual on meetings and returning of phone calls. Answered all questions before during and after the job. Finished product looked great. Price was very fair when compared to other quotes.

Chris and his team did an excellent job! From the start to completion, everything went smoothly with no surprise at all. We need to move in after they finish the job and they did it on time just as Chris promised. The floor color is just what we want and we are satisfied with everything. Chris, Leo and Richard are true professionals. From the initial cost estimate to completion, I was so impressed. The owner, Chris, is extremely knowledgeable about flooring options and the installation process. I waited a year to hire a company because I didn't feel confident in the installers' ability. Superior was on time and kept the work site immaculate every day. The men worked carefully and diligently throughout the week, painstakingly trimming out each nook and cranny. There is variation in wood grain and stain tones; Superior was careful to vary the wood strips for a flawless, even installation. Even the coat closet was beautifully detailed! It is readily apparent that this team of men takes great pride and joy in their work and that they appreciate their customers. I was dreading this project and I am so, so pleased with the results!! A+++ I am planning on having my upstairs done next. I highly recommend Superior Hardwood Floors. They are Craftsmen.

Chris and his assistants arrived on the day and time scheduled to begin the project. Plastic sheeting was draped from floor to ceiling between the kitchen and living room to minimize dust in the kitchen area. All of the wood flooring was thoroughly sanded and vacuumed during the first 2 days. Multiple coats of stain were applied over the next 3 days. The floors turned out beautiful and look virtually brand new. We are very happy with the results and are amazed at the difference in the appearance of the rooms. Chris and his team were a pleasure to work with and I would recommend his services to anyone looking to refinish their hardwood flooring. Chris' quote on the cost of the project was very reasonable compared to other companies we received quotes from. We're so glad we used Superior Hardwood Floors!

Chris ended up starting on my floors earlier than expected and executed according to plan. Floors truly looked better than when I moved in. When I started moving my furniture in and botched the floor, Chris came within a few days to repair the damage - free of charge. Good service. Perfect execution.

Chris (owner) and his employee did a great job on our floor refinishing. We are fairly particular about the quality of work performed and the character of service providers that we trust to work in our home. Chris provided outstanding customer service and follow up, was true to his timeline, and delivered a far more cost effective solution than any of the other bids we received. We were very impressed that he paid close attention to the details, and his one employee that worked alongside of him was extremely capable. We are thrilled with the end result, and would highly recommend his company. They earn top marks for the level of care in locking up our home and cleaning up thoroughly at the end of each day. Superior Hardwood Floors was enthusiastically recommended by two friends -- and for good reason. Chris, one of the owners, engaged in every aspect of the job and constantly asked if the work was to our satisfaction. It was. We received three estimates, and Superior was the lowest. I'm a value shopper, and frequently the lowest cost isn't the best value. In this case, however, we got the best possible value. Hardwoods were installed, stained and finished, and the match with the 7-year-old kitchen floor exceeds our expectations. The craftsmanship is outstanding, but what's more important is the ongoing focus on the customer. We recommend Superior Hardwood Floors without qualification.
