Smooth as silk. In and out in a couple of hours. Cleaned up the site, and looks good so far. I guess we won't know final result until we have a big rain!!!! Charged exactly half of what another contractor estimated!!! We had a wet wall- no sitting water in basement. Apparently drainage pipes under house clogged.

Everything went great, and the work was performed in a timely and professional manner. They actually left the first and misread the internal french drain length, but came back the next day and completed the job quickly. I would recommend them and hire them again, the price for the work was very reasonable and I'm happy with it months later.

First off basement is super dry and all the neighbors are very jealous of all the water dumping out of the drain pipe. When I had my first consultation the guy could have tried to sell me a lot of crap, but he was like "you don't need all that" he offered a much more affordable solution. I was super happy he didn't even remotely hard sell me. The workers were right on time, polite professional and tidy. They were booked in for two days, mostly finished in one but ran out of caulk and said that would just be a service call. It was just a quick follow up but it took a week for someone to come back. Also the pipe under my utility sink cracked I imagine from the Jack hammering. But it was super easy to fix. I'm so happy to have a dry basement and I have had inches of water pressed against my back wall and nothing leaked.

Chris was out to inspect a possible water issue we had. Instead of trying to sell us a lot of waterproofing services, he stated that we may have resolved the issue ourselves by unblocking the gutters and using a dehumidifier. He wrote up an estimate if it didn't resolve, but luckily it did. However, if we ever do have a water issue, no more running around for estimates. I'm going straight to Advanced Basement Solutions who will get the job done HONESTLY!! Sent from my iPhone

The company scheduled me for two days. On the morning they were supposed to begin, I received a call saying they wouldn't be there until the second day. That being said, they did finish on time. There were a few issues with install: 1) not installed where discussed with sales person, 2) radon seal (silicon seal) split, 3) small amount of water still made its way into house. The first issue I had was the pump was installed on the opposite side of the basement from where discussed with the sales rep. It wasn't a huge deal since I don't use the basement for anything but storage, but I definitely would have preferred the pump on the other side of the basement as discuss with the rep in case I wanted to use the basement one day. When the radon seal came apart after install, the company did come and fix it. The water made its way into the basement just above where the system stopped, and it made its way on to the floor because the system was closed due to radon seal. Technician told me to remove some of the seal, which I did with a razor blade, and now the water enters the system, rather than making its way onto the floor.

We apologize for any inconvenience on the first day scheduled may have caused. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances under the floor we cannot always place the pump as originally proposed in order to guarantee the optimal functionality of the system. We appreciate your understanding. We currently have you on our service schedule to place a piece of wall treatment free of charge in the area that was sealed and needed removed to allow water to enter. When it comes to internal French Drain systems, I was impressed with what Advanced Basement Solutions offered from a product standpoint. They use a heavier duty perforated pipe and deep sump wells to promote better drainage. They guarantee the system for life which is also transferable to new owners and doesn't require payments to keep the guarantee effective. Their workers are directly employed by the company and arrived punctually each day and completed the project in 2-days, as planned. The care they took working under our existing stairs was greatly appreciated. Their workers were very professional and treated the project like it was being done on their own home. Needless to say, we left very impressed with the entire experience. While nobody enjoys spending nearly $6K on a project like this, we now have the confidence that remodeling our basement gameroom won't come at a higher cost later, as the water problem has been mitigated. I highly recommend Advanced Basement Solutions to anyone who is having problems with water in their basement.

They confirmed each appointment and showed up when they said. The salesman was very knowledgeable and explained any potential pitfalls including a potential $1200 extra charge if the needed to rent air hammers to break up the concrete. The quote I got was a lot less than expected especially given what I know other people have paid for similar work from competitors. I didn't even bother to get additional estimates especially since they were able to start the next week. The crew showed up on time and took 2 days to complete the job. They wanted to rent the air hammers, but they over estimated the amount of hose that they would have needed which would have made them ineffective. The 600 feet of hose that they thought they would need would wrap around my house 3 times. So it was more work for them using the electric jack hammers, but it saved me $1200. They did have to work a couple extra hours on the 2nd day in order to finish the job. I had gutted my basement and this was the first step of the remodel, so there was very little that they could mess up. Things will get a bit dusty and the jack hammering is noisy if you are in the house. They did leave a little trash behind which was no big deal. They did have to work over time to finish up. An earlier review complained about their concrete work, but it seemed just fine to me. They stuck to the original quote even though it took them a few hours longer than they thought. And most importantly with all the heavy rain recently, I haven't noticed any water in the basement. I definitely would recommend them for any basement water proofing work.

They were punctual and very professional. They came and installed the wall anchors and then proceeded with the 6 wall beams. They took their time but did not drag out the project (they were done in two days). The anchors needed installed from the outside going towards the house. They were able to dig up what they needed and replace the grass where they dug up as if they were never out there; which was nice because we are trying to sell the house and didn't want to replace the grass too. The installation of the beams were a little more invasive. They had to cut into the ceiling to install the beams and into the existing french drain system. They redid the french drain but the owner is responsible for fixing the ceiling. After they were done they cleaned up and headed out. After everything was said and done the garage and basement looks great.
Description of Work: Installed 4 wall anchors to left side of garage wall (which was included in warranty from previous owner since they have lifetime warranties) and installed 6 I beams to back wall of the garage and into the basement.

They 3 young men arrived promptly at 7:30 AM and immediately began work. They were courteous and answered any questions we had. The project was finished in 1 day which was amazing. The only thing they couldn't do was to bury the drain pipe from the sump pump because the ground was frozen. They offered to come back in the spring and complete the job. I would recommend this company and will use them in the future.

Do NOT use this company. I can't believe how many people have given them good ratings. I have never been more dissatisfied with any service I have ever received. First off, the "completed" job looked absolutely awful. I was told that it was going to be an all day job to install French drains, 2 sump pumps, and remove the mold from my basement. So when I arrived home from work that day at approximately 1:30pm you can imagine my surprise that they were already packing up their equipment. My guess is that it happened to be a Friday and they rushed through it so they could get out early. None of the mold had been removed from the walls. When I called to ask about this I was told that it's not their job to remove the mold (even though that's what they advertise and tell you they will do). I was told they sprayed the walls and the mold was dead, but that it was my job to remove it, which could be done with some bleach. Ok, fine, whatever. On to the sump pumps. I realize this was a basement that they were working on but it is a partially finished basement so my guests do occasionally go downstairs. The cement work they did was TERRIBLE. When I called about this, I was told that that particular worker does excellent cement work and they weren't sure what I was complaining about. Well for starters the edges were jagged, uneven, and did not blend into the floor whatsoever. It was not explained to me that installing sump pumps would ruin the cement floors, but I was told I could always paint over the cement they put down. I told them I COULD do that, if the jagged edge of cement wasn't an inch higher than the rest of the floor. I guess the work "blend" is not in their vocabulary. They told me they would send a worker out sometime the following week to see what the problem was. Luckily my boyfriend spoke with the workers before they left and they handed him a bag of cement and told him we just had to mix a little water in and we could fix the floors ourselves. Funny, I thought that's what I was paying these people for, but I guess not. So I took before and after pictures, fixed the floors myself, and when the worker showed up he asked me if I wanted a job! I explained to this gentleman that I already had 2 jobs and that I paid them a bunch of money to do their jobs properly, as I didn't really have time to be cementing my own basement. And that was it, he didn't know what more he could do for me since I had fixed the problem myself. So just a word of warning, your basement will NOT look anything like they pictures they use in their advertisements. Fast forward, the drain they installed to flush the water outside empties directly onto my retaining wall which has now been rotted away after 2 years and needs replaced. Even if this company did retaining walls, I would not use them, even if they offered to put it in for free. Also my "waterproofed" basement is still getting wet in the front closet, which is why I'm writing this review now. I contacted the company to say that the basement they "waterproofed" was still getting damp. I played phone tag with them for about 2 weeks because apparently the people that answer the phones are unable to make an appointment for you. They have to take down your information and have someone call you back. This should tell you how well their employees are trained. So after a couple weeks of back and forth calls, I got the appointment set up for an arrival time of 9:30-10 am. When they hadn't shown up by 11am I called to see if there had been some miscommunication about the appointment time. Surprisingly, this receptionist was able to place me on hold rather than having to get someone to call me back. When she came back on the line she explained that they had called me twice to confirm the appointment and since I didn't confirm, they didn't dispatch anyone. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?! My dentist office confirms my appointments but they don't cancel me if I don't call them back. The funny thing about this, however, is that I never even got a message from them. I'm assuming that maybe they called my work number, the SECONDARY number I had given them in order to make it easier to reach me whilst I was playing phone tag for 2 weeks. Ugh I wish I had never given these people one cent and I hope that while this review is long, people read it and really do their research before hiring this company. They offered a much more reasonable price than the other quotes I had gotten, which I why I went with them, but now I find myself repeating the age old saying: you get what you pay for. I actually think I was ridiculously overcharged for the quality of work that I got.

We have made several attempts since the installation on July 20, 2012 to address these concerns and despite all of our efforts have not been able to come to a satisfactory resolution for this member. Please see photos on our website and Angie's List profile of finished concrete from several of our jobs (actual installation photos). Our technicians take pride in their work. They work hard to create a smooth transition from existing concrete and fresh concrete after our installations despite the fact that existing and fresh concrete do not bond as nicely together due to different chemical properties and humidity levels. Our courteous service team would not expect a customer to finish their own concrete. Our crews begin work at 615AM and do not finish until the job is completed. Depending on the job size, completion even in the early afternoon is at least 8 full hours of work. In this instance, we were not contracted to remediate and remove the existing mold, however, we did apply a commercial grade mold treatment to kill the existing mold and installed an internal French drain system to prevent additional mold growth in the areas that we were contracted. For exterior water issues, we explain/propose the best way to divert the water. Since we are certified nationally for waterproofing and foundation repair through the Basement Health Association, we participate in continuous education in such matters to make expert recommendations on the best practices and methods. We can ONLY make recommendations, and complete areas that the customer contracts us to complete. We also recommend running a dehumidifier in the area waterproofed to help with any dampness issues. Recently, we scheduled an appointment to review dampness concerns. Our policy is to confirm our appointments prior to dispatching an inspector. We make EVERY attempt to contact the individual and leave several messages several days prior to the appointment on EVERY number that we have on file. Which in this case we had two numbers, both of which were called and messages were left. All of our customer service representatives are able to set an appointment and are trained to schedule in ordinary cases without placing a customer on hold or calling them back. In this specific case, however, because of the nature of the complaints a manager and/ or owner even needed to be scheduled to address the ongoing concerns. In this case, a return call is completed the SAME day or next business day. It is unfortunate despite numerous documented efforts to contact the member both BEFORE and AFTER this review have not been accepted by the member. We strive to come to a reasonable solution for all parties in every situation. We are a local company that understands the sometimes customer expectations are not always met with the first impression, but pride ourselves that with continuous dedication to our customers, great customer service, responsiveness, professionalism and detailed information/explanations ultimately will result in a great experience for all parties.

Advanced Basement Solutions fit me in within less than a week's time. We were in the inspection stage of buying a house, and the house inspector found some potential drainage and mold problems in the basement. Advanced Basement Solutions was booked up, but they found a way to squeeze me in that week. They came out and did an estimate. They were so honest, they explained the number one solution would be to do something that they could only do part of - they could put in the internal french drain and external grate drain, but not the concrete pad outside the basement patio door where they water problem was occurring. Thus, they were willing to lose my business by being totally honest with me about the best solution. I tried to pay them for their estimate, but they declined. I see why they get such good ratings on Angie's List!

Chris arrived at the appointed time. He was very knowledgeable and polite. He looked at the stains on the garage walls and the wet floor. He then walked the outside of the house and made suggestions such as putting a baffle where the roofs meet so water doesn't pour over the gutters, remove leaf guards, put in more downspouts, make sure existing downspouts are not broken. He said the wetness in the garage is condensation coming up from the floor, not what is running down behind the block - and there is nothing to do about it. Another company had told me the only solution was an internal drain and sump pump for $5,300.00. Since the moisture is coming up from below the concrete floor, Chris said that an internal drain system wouldn't solve the problem. He said he would not recommend the internal drain system because I would be dissatisfied since it will not dry out the garage. I asked him for a quote if I would decide to go with the internal system in the future. His quote was about $2,500. I was very pleased that he was willing to tell me to "just live with" the dampness rather than take me for thousands of dollars. I loved him for being so honest.
