I was a property manager for over 25 years in an apartment complex. Every time I call there is a problem and nothing gets done. It has taken them over a year to decide what to put down in the hallways, and when they did, they put down glue down carpet, only on one of the floors and it is very thin and cheap. This is an expensive condominium! They really waste money and are incompetent and ridiculous. Also the other two floors that need carpeted as well, I would rather keep the old carpet than it be replaced with the glue down cheap stuff. Its like the carpet became stained, and they didn't know what to do, so they just tried to replace it, instead of cleaning it correctly. Its like they don't even know anything about property management. Another example is that when you go to replace a faucet, you don't go and replace it with a $5 faucet and then pay $80 service call. You need to spend $50 for the faucet so that way a week later it doesn't start leaking. A good property manager knows that! The main front door that you enter the condominium through had stopped working because the lock was broken. Somebody from the building said that it was broken because they walk their dog all the time!! Meaning they are in and out of the building all the time and its was their fault. I have asked the management to also install some lighting down our back stairs because the lighting that is there is insufficient, and they have yet to do that. When I call, and IF I get a call back, they listen to my complaint, but then do NOTHING! And they never call back with the results or answers. They never resolve anything. When I first moved here, the place was in my mothers name, so they acted like they couldn't help me at all! When we have condo-owner meetings, they meet in the lobby and everyone sits on the floor and the three steps! The property management group was already fired from a condominium from down the street. I can't think of one thing that the property management team has actually taken care of since I have been here! Another example, a girl came and rented a condo because she wanted a quiet place to study, so not even an owner. She complained one night about music down by the pool, and the property managers said no more music by the pool! Don't you think that the condo owners should decide about the music, not a renter! We signed a petition because we were all so angry about it, but they still did nothing. The pool is only open from 11am-7pm at night, so it isn't like the music, that wasn't very loud to begin with, was going on in the middle of the night.
