I called PARADIGM because my two existing exterior drain pipes installed by others 7 years ago are not draining water, even after heavy rains. Although I don?t have any flooding issues in my basement and garage, I worried that I would end up having problems in the future if I didn?t correct them now. Andrew with Paradigm returned my phone call on the same day and he came to my home the next day. After listening to my concerns and walking around my basement, garage and yard, he carefully checked everywhere that needed to be checked and guessed that my existing waterproofing system is working (but may not be in the best condition), otherwise my basement and garage wouldn't be dry. He advised me to hire another company that can perform video inspection of drain/sewer line and apply high pressure water jet to clean and flush out my drain pipes. It was not something PARADIGM would normally perform. He was very honest about the diagnosis and very kind. He even provided me a free 4" plastic green grate and installed it to the end of the drain pipe for me because the previous contractor didn?t bother to cap it for me. It was full of leaves and some chipmunks had made it into a nest for themselves. I really appreciated his help and believe that this company is run by some honest and kind people.

After a scarifying flood in our guest bathroom due to a faulty supply tube to the toilet, we consulted Angie's list and settled on Paradigm. They put us on their schedule as soon as they possibly could. We were very, very pleased with every aspect of our dealings with Andy and Ross at Paradigm. They were prompt, courteous, and professional, gave us a quotation that was only $20.00 under the final price, were careful and respectful of us and our home, and fully explained everything that was needed and ultimately accomplished. Moreover, they inspired our confidence that they know exactly what they were talking about, and they do not practice alarmist techniques in order to get more work/higher fee. Highly recommend and will certainly call them if we need plumbing services in the future.

From the beginning, Andy and Ross were extremely professional and knowledgeable. We called several businesses trying to come up with a solution to water entering our walk-out basement through the sliding glass door. Most businesses wanted to charge for a job that wasn't even necessary and some even wanted a down payment on work that hadn't been done yet (red flag!). When Andy and Ross came to do the estimate, they took their time and assessed our problem carefully, mapping out the best solution. It was nice to have the owners come to assess the work instead of a salesman. Ross even noticed something loose with our plumbing downstairs and fixed it for us, which wasn't even his work to worry about. They also eagerly showed us pictures of their current jobs to show that in the grand scheme of things, our water issue could be worse. There were times we would go a while without hearing from Andy, but we realized it wasn't due to negligence. They were simply waiting for parts to come in, and as we observed on the day of our job, Andy and Ross spend almost all day at the job site, which leaves them little time to respond during the day. The day of the job, everyone showed up at the time he said he would, the job took only one day, and we hardly would know they were here. They made little changes to the plan as necessary and with our approval first, and all of the workers were very professional. We are very satisfied with how things turned out, and we would call Paradigm again in the future. Thanks for all of your help, time, and professionalism!

They were very professional, they had to reschedule once but then the communication was very clear from them and in advance. They stopped by when they said they would. Did not rush through the process and gave very valuable recommendations and declined to work on the water proofing for the same reasons. The basement have 130 year old brick walls, they said the perimeter french drain installation may move these walls and collapse because it has no footing being too old. They have advised me to hire a structural engineer and get the detail look at the wall. I love the honesty and professionalism as they didn't just want to get the work and vouch but they infact provided very valuable and honest suggestion indeed. I being an engineer myself got exactly what i needed to do and affirmed by them. Absolutely gem and very honest guys.

He came out and looked at the crack determined that water was seeping into the basement from the outside used epoxy to seal the crack outside.

Not knowing anything about waterproofing a crawlspace, we decided to get as many quotes as possible (6). We had a price range from $2500-$11k for the same job. Andy, from Paradigm, was one of two people that showed up that did not try the pushy salesperson routine the other 4 did. They all tried getting the sale on the spot. Andy listened when I said I wasnt making the decision that day and laid what he thought the best course of action and told me to call him with any questions or if I decided to go with Paradigm. After narrowing the field to the 2 reasonable options, Paradigm and a much cheaper option, we decided to use Andy as we had a better feel with him. He answered all my questions prior to selecting him and added some extra work before settling on a price. I gave the price a B as we did have a cheaper alternative. On the day the work was to be performed, a crew of 8 plus both Andy and Ross showed up earlier than indicated and finished much earlier than timeline given. They laid tarps down to protect the furniture and flooring and were very professional throughout the day. We experienced no problems that I was aware of. After one week, it seems to be performing as indicated. The crawlspace is much cleaner and we have no water pooling in the center or on the vapor barriers.

Very pleased with the experience and the result. Very comforting that the consultant who initially came out was also hands-on on the day. Crew was courteous and hard working all the way through the project and made great efforts to clean up after the work was complete. They provided more resources on the day so the project finished in 1 day rather than 2, and we could get back to normal. With the recent snow thawing and rains their workmanship has been tested already and we are very pleased with the results.

From the first phone call to the final handshake, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Andy, Ross, and the rest of the team did a fantastic job. They began at 8:00am, as promised, and stayed until the job was finished, around 6:00pm. Andy is an exceptional person: knowledgeable, patient, considerate, and personable. After inspecting and measuring our basement and asking pointed questions, Andy had an immediate plan for how to go about the work in our home. Our basement, in the few months we've lived here, has gotten wet in places. Our hope is to finish a portion of our basement, but we were concerned about the water. Andy suggested a french drain around the perimeter of the to-be-finished portion of our basement. We were also concerned about the placement of our washer and dryer - they were in a location that would be inconvenient for a finished basement. Ross, Andy's business partner and plumber, moved both without a problem. Since the team finished the work, there has been a great deal of precipitation: both rain and snow (which is currently melting quickly). There is not a drop of water to be found sneaking into our basement, thanks to Paradigm Home Solutions.

We are in the process of redoing our basement and wanted to make sure we did not have a flooding problem....like we did last year when our power went out. Used an Angie's Deal for the water powered back up pump. When they got to our house it was determined that the well was not dug deep enough and they would need to deepen the well and then replace the primary pump as well. I felt like it was a good investment and the team was very professional and had the installation done quickly. Would work with them again!

My basement is 115 years old. Before it was waterproofed, it was dank, dark and the floor had deteriorated so badly it was worn down to the dirt in some places and mushrooms were cropping up. When I walk down the steps, now, it is such a pleasure to see the improvement! I am very happy with contractor?s work from estimate to finished product. They kept me informed, explained what I didn?t understand and did everything they said they would. The partners and their crew were a pleasure to work with?polite, pleasant and professional. I was going to wait a couple weeks before providing a review, but with the snow this past week and then the heavy rain, my new basement was put to a rigorous test and passed.

Ross and his team at Paradigm are an anomaly in the construction industry; they communicate in a timely fashion, they are punctual, and complete their work as promised within the time period they tell you. We had a new French drain system, with vapor barrier, and a new sump pump installed in one day. The pump works flawlessly and looks very professional, no water in the basement. Ross has been very attentive in follow up questions I have had.

Owner, Ross Pressman, scheduled an appointment with us to review and discuss the basement flooding issues we were experiencing with our home. He was extremely thorough in explaining the entire process which could be done from within the interior of the house. He quoted us a price which we found to be reasonable given the work to be done. The time-frame estimate was two days. Ross and his team completed the entire job in a day and a half. None of the mess came into the home and everything was cleaned up, inside and out, by the time they left. A relatively shallow trench[roughly 10-12"] was dug along the full length of the outer wall(twin house) and across the front wall. A drainage system was established consisting, in part, of a superflow silt filter, Ft. vapor barrier, 3000psi cement fiber, 1" micro drain and Zoeller sump pump. There has been no flooding since this installation. Paradigm provides a life-time warranty which is transferrable to the next owner. I would not hesitate to recommend Paradigm Home Solutions. I set up appointment with paradigm home solutions the owner came to my home. he was very friendly and helpful he honestly explained that with the sump pump setup that I have my costs would be prohibitive i would definitely work with paradigm again in the future if the need arises.

This past summer I noticed water entering my basement from the base of a window after a heavy rain. I called three companies for recommendations on what to do and an estimate for the work. The first company wanted me to charge me $8000.00 to dig up and replace a perfectly good french drain system (this system prevented my basement from flooding when the water started coming in through the window) along with the window taps and mold treatment. The second company only offered to install only one window tap, replace the sump pump with a oversized and overpriced one and do mold treatment for $3800. The two gentlemen spent a lot of time telling me about their credentials but I found out they were salesmen and would not be involved in the actual work. Thank goodness, I looked on Angie's list and saw that Paradigm Home Solutions consistently got great reviews. I contacted the company by e-mail on a Sunday and got a response from Andrew within an hour or two. We set an appointment for the following week. Andy and his partner, Ross, were prompted and professional. They told me they were the owners and one or both were present on every job. They examined my basement and gave me sound advice on what to do to the fix the problems. I hired them on the spot and the following week, the crew, including Andy and Ross, showed up on time. They protected my floors with dropcloths, covered the items in the basement with plastic to protect them, removed mold-covered items that could not be cleaned and kept me informed every step of the way. The other men in the crew were hard-working and friendly. They left my basement neater than when they started; it has inspired me to clean out all the junk I have been storing there for past 13 years! It's now been a few weeks since the repairs and we have had a few storms since then and I am happy to say that NO water has entered my basement! Thank You, Andy and Ross!

Andy, one of the owners, responded promptly to our request for a consultation, unlike several other businesses we contacted. He was extremely knowledgeable and quickly sorted out a remedy for our damp crawlspace. He patiently listened to our questions and provided clear answers, which put us at ease and instilled confidence in his solution. The task at hand struck us as quite challenging given the restrictive 3-foot height of an otherwise expansive crawlspace. Andy and his crew showed up at the scheduled time, worked diligently drilling and banging away despite having to assume a prone position in sweltering conditions. They completed the job in the prescribed time and left the area above the crawlspace in pristine condition. In the months that followed, the crawlspace has remained dry. I strongly recommend Andy and his crew. All aspects of the job were conducted with professionalism and aplomb.

Ross came out. He told me that my well was too shallow for the pump, and it would require an extra $1500 to jackhammer down. I wasn't counting on an additional $1500. He was willing to come down on the price a little, but I was still unable to do the work.

The President and Vice President of the company showed up for the bid and stayed for the entire process once chosen. They explained all my options, what was required for each and how much each will cost. They cleaned out the basement debris, smoothed out the crumbling walls, treated all damp areas, installed a French drain system and pump, and also replaced the outdated broiler and thermostat. I did not have to do anything except unlock the door and write a check. They handled all the permits, trash removal and clean up. Work was completed on time and on budget. No surprises. I was very impressed with their professionalism and work ethic.

The service provider came out and the bid came back too high. Will be getting a refund on this deal.

From the start, our experience with Paradigm Home Solutions and working partners Andy and Ross was superb, virtually flawless. Always punctual and thoroughly professional, they were also friendly, engaging and honest. The project, as it evolved (we originally thought there was only one half-wall of damage; after inspection and partial demolition, it turned out that three exterior basement walls were in seriously eroded condition with regard to mortar, and subsequent water damage to wood, lath, and plaster infrastructure). Andy and Ross and their crews worked diligently and quickly. They kept us apprised of further complications as they arose, though there were no real surprises in this old house that clearly was maintained with neglect somewhere in its history. They did everything possible to contain the cost of an extensive project, and they clearly were equipped and staffed to handle the job within the timeframe they estimated. They began and were finished in three days, as promised, with no overruns or unexpected work orders. This was a laborsome job, yet it required expert skill and care. We are not in any way disappointed. After some severe rains since the job was finished there have been no signs that there were mistakes or oversights. In the Spring, we expect to call Paradigm Home Solutions back to perform the next stage, an intermediate step of renovation and restoration of the walls, before calling in finish craftsmen, probably mainly carpenters, to perform the final stage. I endorse Andy and Ross and their organization, Paradigm Home Solutions heartily and without qualifications. I also have Angie's List to thank for enabling finding these superb craftsmen and their team.

Lots of rain since the job was done, but my basement is DRY!! (previously getting wet w/even small rains) Phone answered immediately or messages returned within 15-30 min. Absolute professionalism from owner & every member of crew, all of whom are really nice people. Treated my home with utmost respect & at end of day you could not tell it had been a worksite - not even in worksite area! Everything left clean! Andy did not try to oversell me on what I needed for my solution & explained that things were not as bad as I had thought. Everything to be done was clearly explained, written out, & went as described. Installation as unobtrusive as possible, pump is nearly inaudible. They guarantee their work - not just the manufacturer guarantee - & guarantee transferable to next home owner. Called them w/a very minor concern after work done & they responded immediately (turned out no big deal). Hiring Paradigm is maybe the best decision I made all year.

I was impressed with all aspects of the service. Andy and Ross arrived on time. They assessed my current setup and explained in clear detail what could be done and how the new setup would work. They were patient when answering my questions and provided good information about operation of the new pump. They also explained the possible causes of the previously broken outdoor pipe and gave me some ideas for protecting the pipes in the future. They gave me an estimate upfront for the additional piping needed to direct the water to the pump. The cost of the pump, installation, and outdoor pipe repair was extremely reasonable. My costs may be lower than the appropriate cost for the service since I took advantage of an Angie's List Big Deal price. I would assess the work performed for me at a higher value than what I paid. In fact, I had received a rough estimate for a pump installation from the company that had done my waterproofing. Their estimate was much higher and had put the cost of the project out of reach for me. I was fortunate to encounter the special deal. I would highly recommend Paradigm Home Solutions for the professionalism of their communication and work performed. If I need additional work in the future, I would definitely use them again.

They were very courteous and got back to me right away but based on my situation and my basement there were going to be extra costs involved so I did not end up using the deal.

After the most recent batch of storms, we noticed both water and stale smell in our basement. Paradigm was referred to us by a friend who we trust and called them. They were extremely responsive to our inquiries and request. With an excellent price point vs. some of the other companies we contacted, we agreed to have them come out ASAP, which they were able to honor. Unlike other experiences we have heard about related to: shoddy workmanship rude or vulgar employees late arrivals inaccurate job completion times/estimates, as well as a lower level worker to oversee the project (rather than say the owner or supervisor) We did not experience ANY of these issues with Paradigm. They were pleasant, polite, on-time and efficient, all with the owner on site to oversee and make sure what they said they were going to do they did. I can't speak highly enough about the level of service and professionalism (particularly in relation to the value) I received from this company. I would recommend them to all friends.
