Ross was the first contractor we had out to get an estimate to perform the work. We were initially skeptical of how good the reviews were on Angie's list. I mean, come on, who gets straight A's anymore? He was on time and professional in his description of the works that he recommended. At first, we were uncertain about how the price he quoted would measure up to the other contractors, but we quickly came to understand what he meant when he said "he wanted the job." We do a lot of DIY and respected the fact that he showed up in his well used work clothes as a person that physically works the job. We weren't just talking to someone that paid their dues into a pure marketing gig. Ross assured us that he is personally on every job site to oversee and direct the work, and that's exactly how he presented himself. For the quality and completeness of the system, we felt more than comfortable going with Ross and Paradigm. As part of the work, the contract was amended to include the removal and repair of the whole house sanitary trap (which had clogged on occasion). It also included the addition of window well drains that cleverly tie into the perimeter system, and Ross even agreed to replace any cast iron sanitary pipe that was broken during demolition free of charge. The entire structure of the agreement put us at complete ease that not only would we get quality system, but that we wouldn't have to hire or coordinate a plumber to perform work while the slab was open. Paradigm was the only company we found that could provide this dual service. The township permitting process took much longer than expected, and Ross was extremely accommodating in re-scheduling the original work date by a week. This gave us the much needed time to receive final approval and schedule inspections. Ultimately, the whole project went off without a hitch. In two days time, the entire job was complete and passed all inspections. Ross and his team accommodated our every request, and besides the new perimeter system, the entire property was so clean that you'd have thought they were never there. They even hung the heavy plastic vapor barrier so that portion of the basement to be finished was completely ready for walls. We felt extremely fortunate to have Ross and his team out. They were extremely efficient and top grade in their workmanship from start to finish. You could tell from the interactions among workers that they spend a lot of time on jobs together. They were able to joke around and it wasn't a stiff environment of "the boss is at the job site today." We would highly recommend Ross and his team to anyone in the market for basement waterproofing, and I'm sure any plumbing needs.

Ross provided me with an estimate as well as advice on some repairs that I was looking to have done to resolve cracks in our basement. Unfortunately, due to reasons beyond our control, we were not able to use this service provider. However, I was very pleased with the level of professionalism that was exercised by the provider. Ross communicated well during the consultation and proved to be very timely in his responses. Most importantly, he was courteous and took the time to understand my issues.

It went great. The team worked very efficiently. Very professional, polite, explained everything very well to me. The work was outstanding quality. They also cleaned up the area very well after the work was done. Very satisfied. Would recommend to anyone.

We recently bought a house with a finished basement. Unfortunately, a small amount of water entered the basement after every hard rain. We first contacted Value Dry, but their hard sell made us feel like we were in a mob movie. It was very unpleasant. We contacted Paradigm and they were friendly, honest, and a joy to work with. We are short on cash due to to the house purchase and wanted to try a sump pump before incurring the expense and destruction of a french drain system. They installed a sump pump with a battery-powered backup pump and connected a gutter downspout to an existing external drainage system. So far so good! If it turns out that the sump pump is not enough, we will happily have Paradigm install a french drain system. We are very happy and comfortable working with them.

Paradigm was great. I priced out 3 total waterproofing companies and they all had comparable pricing for the actual french drain system. The difference was all the other items I needed done such as the demo, sealed walls, sanitary line and footings. They came in the least expensive and they were always available by phone, email and extremely polite and professional. The demo job alone was a monster and they finished it extremely fast and installed the entire system in a few days. I had a lot of moisture down there and it took some time to adjust, but now the basement is completely dry and usable. I had a couple of minor issues on some drying of paint and concrete not setting well, which he came back and did without issues. They were very helpful and the communication was excellent.

It went well. The one small problem I have, he explained how I could do it myself for $5 instead of paying thousands to install a drainage system. He also explained why there were water marks on the walls and how everything fit together. I appreciated his honesty and he was very informative.

From the begining these guy were extremely professional. They pulled onto my street and saw that there was another company here giving an estimate on the same work. So they sat at the end of my street discretely and waited for that company to leave. When they arrived Ross and Andy (the owners) both got out and introduced themselves and were very friendly. They were very knowledgeable and conducted the estimate in a very professional manner. They explained in detail the work they would be conducting and how they would perform the job. Ross being a master plumber also offered at no cost to install a drip pan on my hot water heater that would connect into the french drain system in case it ever leaked. I thought this was very courteous. I had a total of 4 contractors out to give me estimates and Ross and Andy's estimate was the most reasonable and I felt the most comfortable using them. They day of the job the guys showed up right on time and began work right away. Both Ross and Andy arrived with their workers to oversee the operations which I was very pleased to see. They put plastic over everything in my basement to avoid it getting destroyed by dust. The job lasted one day and it was completed correctly. The next day I went down to use my basement window and it was off the track a bit. So I called Ross to see if he could help because I couldn't get it seated. He answered the phone and apologized and stated he would be right out. In the meantime I was able to get the window seated again so I called him back and advised him. He stated that it was not a problem at all and that if I ever needed anything to not hesitate to call. It has been almost a year since the work has been conducted and I have not had a drip of water in my basement. Very good job guys and I am very pleased with your professional work.

I called Andy to come out to give me an estimate on waterproofing a section of my basement. Per schedule he came out and we looked at the basement and I explained to him my problem. The basement was dry at the time and I thought I would get a good deal because we had zero rain for awhile and figured business was slow. I explained if I receive heavy rain I would get water in my basement in a particular spot. He gave me a suggestion which he thought would take care of the problem. He didn't try to sell me on something that was overkill. He wanted to fix my problem. We installed around 50 -60 total feet of French drain and installed a new sump pump with a battery back-up. We also cleaned walls and painted for mold remediation. Andy and Ross the owners of the company were on site the day of the installation. Very Clean and respectful of my house. The install took maybe 8 hours prompt and courteous. After the install Andy and Ross assured me that they are there to take care of the problem and would stand by their product and expertise. Since we had no HEAVY rain everything looked great. Months later we had a HEAVY rain and in a section of the crawl space there was water. I called Andy and he said "Ken don't worry about it, I said you will have a dry basement and that's what I will stand by". I sent him pictures and he concluded that we needed to install an extra 5 foot of French Drain in the crawl space. He came out looked at it and concluded that is what we needed to do. "He stated I will take care of it, I promised you a dry basement and that is what I will deliver" he did not charge me an extra penny. He stuck by his promise and quote. I have waited months to write this review because I wanted to wait until we had rain and snow melted to make sure basement is dry. Well as of today the basement is dry. Work was scheduled quickly, workers were punctual and finished the same day as planned. Room continues to be watertight. Everyone I had contact with was friendly and polite. They even carted off some junk for me.

Very professional. I felt very comfortable with them in the house. Arrived in a timely fashion. The work was done as described and on time with absolutely no surprises.

From the very beginning, Andy was great. He let me know the issue as I had heard from other vendors. The difference was that he made sure that I understood each step of the process and took it beyond the others to recommend extending the drain a little further than the others had and for the same price. He worked with me around our schedule to get things wrapped up in one day and left the place as if they were never there. Andy was onsite for the entire job and made sure to bring me down to the work area as they were progressing to show me what they were doing and how they were going to fix the issue. They even went so far as to rip up some extra tile that they knew I was going to replace after they left. It saved me a few hours of extra labor. Thanks to the team. They were great!

Chose this company after receiving an estimate from Ross who explained everything in terms I could understand. No pushy sales tactics, just a simple explanation of what was needed, the process and the price. Arrived on time with a full crew and got right to work. Clean tarp put down to protect the entryway floor and plastic covered everything in the basement. Kept me informed throughout the day of their progress. Originally thought the job would take 2 days but ended up taking only one. Basement was cleaner than before they started. Haven't had much rain since the job was completed but so far so good. I was a little nervous about having to have such a big, expensive job done but Ross and his crew made it pretty painless. I'm glad I chose Paradigm Home Solutions.

LOOK NO FURTHER! READ IN FULL! I was experiencing water in my basement during heavy rains, which was continual. We diagnosed it to be hydrostatic pressure, as there were no visible issues with cracks in the foundation or water coming in from the windows. Upon further inspection, there was black mold issues where the water was sitting. We interviewed 4 companies before selecting Ross and Paradigm as our go-to company. To start, I had my wife conduct all the interviews, as her level of comfort was most important. All were professional, but Ross was approachable and explained everything while not making her feel dumb. He was not a pushy sales person (this coming from a sales person). When you are extremely knowledgeable and confident in diagnosing the issue and knowing your solution will fix the problem, sales tactics need not apply. Finally, Ross quoted us a price appropriate for the job, as we elected to have French drains installed in half the basement, rather than the full basement. This decision was made, in part, under Ross' advisement that full French drains were not needed due to the location of the incoming water. This was the MAJOR distinction from the other companies, especially since the other companies were charging us the price for a full-basement when only completing half the basement. Ross and his team were in and out in a day. He brought a team of about 6- 8 very respectful workers, who are also extremely proud to be working for PHS. I was taking pictures of the progress, and one even jumped in pointing to the logo on his shirt. That's pride. They covered my basement in plastic (it's finished, much to my chagrin) and begun working, digging the channel, installing the pipe, covering the pipe, and finally re-cementing the channel. During this entire time, the team worked efficiently and cleanly. When the job was complete, it was almost as if they weren't even there. They cleaned up, put things back in order as best as possible, considering the work that was just done. Finally - there is a LIFETIME GUARANTEE on the sump pump. It breaks in 2 years? They replace it. 5 years? Replaced. 10 years? Replaced. They recommended me not putting my basement back together for 30 days, just to ensure the issue was rectified. If not, back they come to correct the issue. This is a business of integrity. They do not make you feel apprehensive or nervous to go with a contractor that might "screw you over". I will 100% recommend them to do more work (although I hope not, no offense) and also recommend anyone reading this review to LOOK NO FURTHER. Ross at Paradigm is your selection.

I had several contractors come look at our basement leak and Ross of Paradigm provided the best combination of straightforwardness, knowledge and appropriate pricing, as well as good reviews on Angie's List. (Though I was surprised how high most of the estimates were.) Ross's recommendations were similar to some of the other contractors', but he inspired a little more confidence. He was also responsive when I called back with questions. He and his workers were in and out in about 6 hours, and cleaned up pretty well afterward. The job was fairly simple -- excavate along the back of the basement floor; put in plastic sheeting, stone and a perforated pipe, as well as a sump pump; cement it up; connect the pump to the sewer line (which is allowed here); patch the mortared stone wall a little; wipe down some mold on the wood beams. So far they system's working well. We hear it pump occasionally and the basement is dry.

We couldn't be happier. This was a big job - it turned out the basement slab was thicker than anticipated, but the price remained the same. From the moment of my first contact with Andy to when I wrote the check, we experienced complete professionalism and experience from the whole crew. Another company we checked with said this would be a 5 day job, but Paradigm did it in 2.5 days! They were true to their word and kept us fully informed throughout the process and cleaned up everything after they were done. There was not a pebble left on the driveway. We highly recommend Paradigm!!

The explanation of the solution is easy to understand and straightforward. The owners, Andy and Ross, came to the field and worked with their workers. They worked effectively and efficiently. During the work, they even spotted that a piece of our foundation was missing which caused the sinking of part of my house. They fixed it for us without extra cost. Everyone in their team was nice and friendly.

Fantastic.Ross, one of the owners, gave me the estimate and explained what needed to be done. estimate was the final cost.. Estimate was also the same as give by two other companies. Ross was there to direct all of the work. He brought a team of men and the entire job was completed within 3 hours. No mess. They somehow took the cement from the floor out through the basement window and then out to their truck to minimize who had to be taken through the house. The workers ere courteous , friendly , and professional.

Andrew and his crew recognized that my tenant was nervous about the basement, so they completed the whole job in a day. As the job was being done, they discovered a broken sewer pipe. To be helpful to an Angie's list client, they repaired the pipe at no additional cost. When the job was completed, the crew cleaned up the basement, and pointed out the wet cement areas to the tenant, so that no mess would be spread. I have been 100% pleased with PARADIGM. I hope I never have a problem with wetness in any house I live in, but should it happen, I will certainly call Andy!

They were very responsive and punctual, and communicated well regarding appointments, and scheduling the job. It was a big messy job, and they appeared to be very considerate of my tenant (who occupies the property), and, for the most part, cleaned up really well. The only thing I wish were different was that there was debris (shelving, a wooden work bench, e.g.) that got sacrificed during the project and was left in the basement. It's partly my fault for not mentioning it, too, but I'll have to call a trash removal company to come clear that out, and I wish this had been addressed at some point during or after the work was done. Other than that one issue, I'm completely happy and satisfied with the work they did, and would highly recommend them. I have every confidence that the water issue has been fixed, and that the warrantee will be always be there as a back up. Update: I called Paradigm back with a question about the dehumidifier, and they came the next day to answer my question, and also took the shelving debris out of the basement for me. I'm very impressed with the follow up and the concern with customer satisfaction.

I already wrote a review of this visit in March which apparently was lost. I am annoyed by Angie's List constant reminders to me,especially since there is no line on the reminders to indicate that the review was alredy sent.
