Description of Work: This is the third time we have tried to use Riverview. First two, came for measurements then could never get a quote. We said let us try again as we like to use local companies. Once again we had to call for the quote. They did not quote how we requested the then jacked up price to cover. Will never use again and will spread the word. Have nice products but service sucks.

Description of Work: Initial phone contact with Sean in June--very pleasant --a nice introduction to the company. Bob Swidorsky was at the store when I went in, and I ended up working with Bob. (or Robert, as I called him--there are two other Bob's in the company). He was very informative, listened to my ideas/concerns/plans, answered all my questions, and gave me samples to take home. Because this was a large investment, I had LOTS of questions! Robert was very patient and obliging, and never pushy. He helped me select the right products (wall-to-wall for my entire townhouse and master bath flooring) for my taste and budget. They offer a huge selection of all kinds of flooring, so I was very pleased with the guidance I received. Robert came out to measure--at my convenience--and emailed me the proposal within two days. Three weeks later I had made my final selections, went into the store, and put down my deposit. I did not want to schedule installation until September, and they were agreeable with that. Agreeable may seem like sort of a weak word, but it's been such a relief to find a contractor who is unfailingly pleasant, accommodating, and just plain nice throughout the entire process. The installers came last week for two days, and this week for two days--again, to accommodate my work schedule. Matt and Gary were also very, very nice, punctual and professional. They had to move a lot of furniture before they could get to the actual job at hand, and did it without complaint. I understand that they are very experienced, but I was still impressed. When it was time to move the furniture back into the now newly carpeted rooms, they were very considerate and agreeable--there's that word again! Larry,"the tile guy", installed the tile in my master bath. After confirming the placement design with me, he did it in a day, and made sure I was happy before leaving. And I am happy!--it looks beautiful! Everything was done to make this pretty overwhelming experience--if you have lots of furniture and "stuff" ( like I do!) believe me it is overwhelming!--as easy and pleasant as possible. I couldn't be more pleased with the whole experience. And my home looks great!

 + -1 moreWe had a burn in our hallway. The carpet on the stairs was fine, but they had to run a piece throughout the entire hallway. In order to make what was coming down the hall to match with the stairs, they had to find that particular dyelot (the colors). That took a couple of months but as soon as they got it, they installed it well. The carpet looks great and I am satisfied with their service.

 + -1 moreOur dog got locked in a bedroom and destroyed a section of our carpeting. Fortunately, we had some spare carpet to fill the void. Based on Angie's List, we called Riverview - they were great! They told us an approximate estimate to repair ($80-150), then said they'd be over and if the damage was as they thought, then they'd do the work right there. A few days later, the repairman showed up as scheduled. He spent several hours doing the work, cleaned up after he was done, and charged us a measly $80. The work was perfect - you cannot tell my dog did any damage. Highly recommended.
Description of Work: Repaired a 4' x 2' section of carpet shredded by our anxious dog.

 + -1 moreHe came on time when scheduled and worked very conscientiously. I was surprised at how clean he managed to get the carpet. It was much better than I thought possible. He called us the next day to be sure no spots had returned (they hadn't) and that we were satisfied with the work.

 + -1 moreThe owner came to our home and measured the rooms, and he ordered the carpet from the factory. It came in on schedule, and they arrived to do the work on time. They competed the installation in the time estimated (one day), did all the work carefully and professionally, and took the old carpet and padding away.
Description of Work: They sold and installed wall-to-wall carpet for living room, dining room, hallway, and stairs. They carefully moved the larger pieces of furniture, removed the old carpet and padding, and installed the new padding and carpet. They were on time, completed the work in the time estimated, and did all the work carefully and professionally.

 + 0 moreThey suggested things we could do to keep the cost down (remove the old carpet ourselves-which they hauled away for us-and reuse the new pad rather than get more). The man didn't come the day we agreed-he was sick-but came the next day and did a beautiful job. He was really efficient and cleaned up everything behind him. I told him to leave it, I would clear up, but he insisted it was part of the job. He told me a couple of hints about maintenance. Then he charged me less than the estimate.
Description of Work: We moved to a new house which had a (new) carpet we liked in a room where we didn't want a carpet, and one we didn't like in the bedroom where we DID want a carpet. We got the company to cut and fit the new carpet in the bedroom.

 + -1 moreI moved most of the furniture, but they did the rest. I do not recall what they charged me, but I am sure it was reasonable. The carpets did not get too wet I don t think. Sometimes they will take a week to dry, but not when you use them. They cleaned with the appropriate amount of water and they did a great job. I would gladly use them again.
Description of Work: I had the carpets on the entire first floor of my house cleaned by Riverview. They also did my stairs, cleaned some upholstery and moved some furniture.

 + -1 moreTHEY SQUEEZED ME IN DURING A BUSY HOLIDAY PERIOD TO INSTALL THE CARPET. THE INSTALLER PUT HIS TOOLS ON A CLOTH HE HAD BROUGHT (VERY IMPORTANT WHEN YOU HAVE FRESHLY REDONE WOOD FLOORS!). THE INSTALLER WAS VERY KIND AND LET ME BORROW HIS RAZOR SCRAPER FOR MY WINDOW I WAS WORKING ON. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES AND THEIR PRODUCT IS GREAT!
