Description of Work: I purchased a newly built home in December of 2002 that indicated a 12 month home warranty form the builder. There were some minor problems that were repaired but the builder became argumentative and non-responsive when larger issues came to light. I have had to make significant repairs to plumbing, electrical, heating and AC and drainage over the past 7 years and currently have structural and roof repairs (roof leaks) yet to be addressed. Examples: 1.) AC had to be completely removed and re-installed with several pieces replaced. 2.) Bathroom plumbing was installed poorly- Worst part was they tried to correct by cutting a hole in the drywall and put in a temp- fix Then hung a mirror over the hole in the drywall rather than patch it up. 3.) Some electrical and phone wires were pierced by nails and screws from duct work. - I could go on. There have also been countless minor annoyance repairs that were just offensive – Some examples – 1.) a bathroom light fixture was attached to the wall with glue due to the electrical box being installed improperly- resulted in light fixture falling. 2.) The furnace filter track (holds the filter in place) was attached with double sided tape - resulted in the filter getting sucked into the furnace. 3.) Improperly mounted toilets - 2 out of 3 had leaks that were not easily detected.
