The crew began on schedule, excavated the line and dug up the street, sidewalk, and front lawn to remove and replace the pipe. They indicated that the city might take up to five days to approve the replacement of sidewalk tiles. They then cut off all contact for six weeks, despite repeated calls to the service (left the sidewalk with caution tape and plywood over the hole). They also left a pile of debris and their own garbage (soda bottles, etc.) and refused to clean it up. Business owner eventually responded with apologies and a guarantee that he would resolve the issue, then again refused contact completely. Overall, a disgrace, based mostly on total lack of responsiveness.

We had a cold water pipe leaking in the basement due to corrosion. Mike dealt with the pipe and one underneath that was affected by the dripping water. So now we are safe from future leaks. He also lifted and separated the pipes that had been touching before. It looks very nice and professional.

We have always had prompt and efficient service. The people that work for the company are all professional and stick with the job until it is complete.

Andre was the contractor and he was very good. The job took 5 hours and everything is in perfect working order. I would have appreciated an estimate prior to work being completed and an itemized invoice as the end cost was a bit of a surprise.

I was looking for an alternate plumber but I went back to him. He charged me a reasonable price. I would recommend him as they are reliable and dependable and do good work. I have been with them for years.

Matt, one of their plumbers, is a fantastic guy and is smart, very competent and a pleasure to have in the house. Once I had another Gruber plumber here and I asked him, and quot;Are you a Gruber?and quot; His response was pretty comical. and quot;I wish!and quot; And that brings us to the main issue with this company. Their prices are too high and seem higher each time I deal with them. For example, they tried to charge me $400 for a furnace check up (clean out the burner, check the water pressure and bleed the radiators). This is not difficult work and others charge far less. As a result I am shopping around for a new plumber. It's too bad, but I feel like I am being gouged.

Gruber was very responsive in sending someone to fix my clogged garbage disposal. He quickly diagnosed the problem and the cause (uncooked spaghetti had been put into the disposal and had expanded when wet), explaining it to me while he unclogged it. He was very polite and courteous. Charge was the minimus charge for a visit.

The whole process was non-eventful, which is exactly how it should be. Plumber came in, gave estimate. Did work in timely, neat manner. Would definitely use again.

I took off of work to meet Mike at my home on September 22, 2011. I was informed that I would have an estimate the following day (9/23/11). One and a half weeks later, I have not received an estimate (despite two follow-up calls). This is the end of my efforts. The lack of responsiveness beforeproviding any money does not make me comfortable with this firm. It also shows a lack of respect for the homeowner's time as I took time away from work to accommodate the representative's schedule.

They unclogged the tub slightly, but it clogged up the next day. I called and made an appointment for follow-up twice, but they did not show or follow up with us either time.

The work was done okay. They did show up a little late. They had done some work few years ago and so I went back to them. Their prices are pretty high and their work is standard. I would get other quotes before I decide for the heater.

There isn't much to tell. They showed up, gave me a quote, came back and did the work and the work was done exactly as it should have been. In this and other service calls with this company I have found them honest and professional.

It was fine. There was one minor problem that they took care of right away. They told me they were going to send a second bill because they were suppose to send out a contractor to check the issue, but I told them they did not send anyone out. They said they would look into it and call me back either way. They never called but never sent a second bill.

He was very good and polite. He knew a lot of things. We were looking to do the bathroom in the basement. Somehow in the advertisement we had read that he did renovations. In the end he said he was going to contract all that work out which surprised us. We had to contact the person he was going to work with so it was a little confusing working with him for a whole renovation.

They are excellent. They were prompt, professional, and clean.

We have been using Bill Gruber for 10 years. This time as always, the service was professional, courteous and timely. They fitted us in within days and helped me coordinate their work in a timely way with other work done in the bathroom (opening walls, and then patching them again). They were a pleasure to work with.

They are competent, clear, and gave options for approaching a mysterious problem. They knew what they were doing and I was happy with their work.

Their prices are reasonable. They are reliable and respond quickly in emergencies.

Overall, the experience has been very positive. They are very responsive, punctual, and professional. The quality of their work is very good.

The whole experience was very favorable. They were on time and friendly. All of the workers were very dependable. It is a mom and pop kind of company, so they are very personable as well. I am pleased overall.
