Company came to provide estimate exactly when they said they would and got back to be in about 5 days. Upon my acceptance of the contract, my work was scheduled the very next business day. They were good at understanding my urgency to fix a roof leak since there has been a lot of rain lately. All work completed was discussed before, during, and after the completion. I feel confident things will be dry in the future...

They came in, took a look at the job, and said they could get me an estimate in a week. After a week came and went, I called, they said it would take another day or two. I ended up calling 5 times and never got the estimate. Their delay nearly jeopardized the sale of my home. The receptionist was nice, but the shear lack of response was very frustrating. I found another company to do the work.

They were very prompt in returning my call and scheduling an estimate. The work was scheduled within a week. They showed up in the afternoon and got the job done that day. The work was great.

The salesman did not bring a ladder and could not climb high enough even though we stated that the house was three stories. We chose someone else who was a bit higher but presented a better understanding of the work. Getting the actual written quote was a bit difficult as I had to call the company to get the quote. Estimated cost was $800.

Schultheis redid the roof, box gutters and flashing on my house in 2005 and did a good job so I called them back when I rebuilt a large outbuilding with an attached garage. They had to tear off a defunct wood shingle roof, reflash two dormers and a chimney in copper, install copper drip edge, and then reroof everything in 40 year asphalt shingles. I also had new copper gutters installed on the garage section of the structure. They are in no way the cheapest roofers in Pittsburgh but their craftsmanship and service is excellent. Richard Peck, who quotes the jobs, is punctual, responsive and polite. He offered some less expensive alternatives to the copperwork in order to save me some costs since copper prices were sky-high this past summer. I appreciated his suggestions although I did it the expensive way in the end. The same crew who did the roof on my house two years ago also worked on this years project. They completed everything in four days in extreme heat.

I thought they did a really good job and they were very prompt. I liked that they treated me well, told me what they were doing and didn't treat me like a dummy. I have used them before and there were no surprises that came up.

We were very happy with them. We have been their customers for years now. We have never had any problems with them at all. There is not one thing I can say about this company that I didnt like. They are very punctual and always do good work for us.

I would rather not disclose the price of the service. They are really good. They come on time. They do the work they are supposed to do. They work in a very efficient way. I am very pleased with the service they have provided me through out the years.

We have been satisfied with them for thirty eight years. I really don t have anyone to compare them with. When we call, they come out the same day when need. They ll call us when it s time to get serviced.

Our old AC had failed during hot weather, so we were anxious to have it replaced after it was determined that it would cost too much to fix it. A Schultheis person, Brian Dick, came out and estimated the job a day after we called. He was very professional and developed an estimate as well as a starting date (about a week later) that was satisfactory to us. The workers showed up at 7:30 a.m on the dot and finished the job in two days. Brian stopped by near the end of the job to check on things. The quality of some work bothered me. Some wiring and tubing was hanging down and not properly supported. The outside unit, which was on a hillside, was not properly supported. The workers put dirt under one corner, which would have washed out in the first heavy rain. I insisted that a gravel base be put down, so the new unit was removed and re-installed with gravel underneath. The hole in the outside wall where pipes go through was not sealed up. Job cleanup was marginal.

No work was done; they were higher than the company selected. However, I will say my experience with Schultheis was very positive. They were very responsive and friendly and their estimate was reasonable.

I called Schultheis Bros. because I had a leaky roof. Their head of sales came out and told me I needed to replace my entire roof even though it was a little over 3 yrs old. I have since gotten a second estimate from another roofing company that is at odds with what Schultheis told me. Schultheis gave me one option: patch up the roof for $1,250 and then replace it in the spring. After speaking with other roofing companies, I have come to find that I have other options. Also, Schultheis' representative seemed annoyed the whole time he was at my house.

Great, the only problem was a no-show for the first appointment to get an estimate. But work got started and finished quickly. I can't really see the work, which is covered by siding, but it seemed like the workers here were being careful and were experienced and competent. The final cost was much lower than another contractor's estimate.

Contacted three other companies whose estimates were outrageous, not to mention very gray. Some explained they would have to get into the job in order to determine how much it would cost to repair, etc. Schultheis Brothers were on the money and saved us by suggesting an alternative repair (roof shingle vs. Wood shingle) which in fact reduced their overall bill by hundreds of dollars!

Great experience and representative was very knowledgeable. Price was competitive.

The representative came exactly on time to look at our roof on 8/7/06. It was a good sign, I thought. He said we would have an estimate in one to two weeks. As of today, 9/14/06, we have heard nothing!

Everyone to whom I spoke and dealt with was very polite, professional and easy to work with. They were very good about communicating with me. They showed up when they said they would and were neat workers who cleaned up the area. When they had to come back out to look at the seepage problem, they were right on top of it and thoroughly took care of things.

Excellent communications, right on time, everyone very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

They promised to install my furnace by 09/15/05 and didn't get it done until the first of December. I told them to make sure they put them on the right meter. They put them on the wrong meter. They came back and fixed their mistake and charged me $94.00.

UNABLE TO SCHEDULE ESTIMATE AT A TIME MUTUALLY CONVENIENT. COMPANY LISTS HOURS STARTING AT 7 AM BUT UNWILLING TO SCHEDULE UNTIL 10 AM OR AFTER. WHILE ON THE PHONE WITH THE SCHEDULING SECRETARY I HEARD A GENTLEMAN STATE, "NO WAY!" WHEN I REQUESTED AN EARLIER APPOINTMENT TIME. IT IS IMPORTANT FOR ME TO MEET AN INDIVIDUAL & PERSONALLY REVIEW MY HOME REPAIR NEEDS. UNFORTUNATELY THEY COULD NOT MEET THIS REQUEST. ON A SUBSEQUENT CALL THEY OFFERED TO SEND SOMEONE TO ESTIMATE THE REPAIR EXPENSE IN MY ABSENCE ONLY AFTER I SAID "THANKS, BUT NO THANKS" ON THE INITIAL CONTACT. I AM QUITE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS EXPERIENCE. I FEEL DISRESPECTED & DISREGARDED AS A POTENTIAL CUSTOMER WITH SIGNIFICANT HOME REPAIR NEEDS.

I AM REALLY IMPRESSED WITH SCHULTHEIS. THE TECHNICIAN, DAN SHOWED UP RIGHT ON TIME, WENT RIGHT TO WORK DIAGNOSING THE PROBLEM, AND LET ME KNOW THE APPROX. CHARGE BEFORE HE STARTED THE REPAIR. VERY PROFESSIONAL SERVICE, GOOD CLEAN UP AFTER WORK WAS DONE. WHEN I PLACED THE CALL FOR SERVICE, THE RECEPTIONIST ASKED IF ANYONE WOULD BE HOME TODAY. IT REALLY SURPRISED ME THAT SOMEONE WOULD MAKE A SERVICE CALL THE SAME DAY. (I HAD BEEN WAITING FOR ANOTHER COMPANY FOR 2 OR 3 WEEKS WHILE THE UNIT WAS LEAKING FREON AND I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A WATER LEAK.) ALSO WHEN I TOLD HER I COULD BE REACHED AT WORK TO COME HOME WHENEVER THE TECHNICIAN COULD STOP BY, THEY COMPLIED WITH A CALL JUST ABOUT 3 HOURS LATER AND THE TECHNICIAN SHOWED UP AT MY HOUSE JUST A COUPLE MINUTES AFTER I GOT HOME. I AM EXCEEDING PLEASED WITH THIS COMPANY AND WILL DEFINITELY CALL THEM AGAIN.

BRIAN WAS THE SALESMAN. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND THOROUGH. HE ANSWERED ALL QUESTIONS AND FREELY PROVIDED ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. HE WAS NOT AT ALL GUARDED IN PROVIDING INFO. BRIAN IS A FORMER INSTALLER WHO IS NOW IN SALES, SO HE KNOWS THE PRODUCT INSIDE AND OUT. HE WAS VERY HONEST ABOUT THE 'BANG FOR THE BUCK' FACTOR WHEN CONSIDERING OPTIONS. THE COMPANY SENT TWO PEOPLE TO INSTALL THE FURNACE, A MORE EXPERIENCED PERSON AND A HELPER. THEY WERE BOTH VERY PROFESSIONAL AND DID A NICE, NEAT JOB. IT TOOK THEM LESS TIME THAN THEY ESTIMATED. THEY WERE UNCOMFORTABLE ABOUT INSTALLING THE FLUE LINER BECAUSE THERE WERE POWER LINES NEXT TO MY CHIMNEY, AND I HAVE A SLATE ROOF WHICH IS PRONE TO DAMAGE IF NOT WALKED ON CORRECTLY. SO, THEY CALLED IN PERSONNEL FROM THE ROOFING DIVISION TO HELP. THIS COMPANY IS FIRST RATE.

OTHER THAN SOME MISCOMMUNICATION ABOUT SCHEDULING THE PERMANENT REPAIR TO THE ROOF, WE HAD A VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE WITH SCHULTHEIS. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS AND PROMPT. I WAS PARTICULARLY IMPRESSED BY THE FACT THAT THEY HAD A 24 HOUR EMERGENCY NUMBER THAT ALLOWED ME TO REPORT THE PROBLEM WITH THE TEMPORARY REPAIR ON A SUNDAY MORNING AND HAVE IT TAKEN CARE OF WITHIN A COUPLE OF HOURS.

THEY ARE VERY GOOD AT GETTING BACK TO YOU AND COME WHEN THEY SAY. THEY DO NICE WORK. THEY ARE VERY ACCOMMODATING. THEY HAVE HELPED US TO EVALUATE PROPERTIES THAT WE WERE CONSIDERING PURCHASING WITHOUT CHARGE. THEY GIVE A VERY HIGH LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY ARE GOOD PEOPLE. WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK. I DO NOT RECALL THE EXACT PRICE, BUT THEIR PRICES ARE GOOD, NOT EXCELLENT.

THEY CAME OUT THE SAME DAY MY FURNACE BROKE DOWN AND THEY GOT IT FIXED. THEY WERE PUNCTUAL AND REASONABLY PRICED, AND THEY DID WORK WITH MY WARRANTY PROGRAM.
