Dun-Rite Window and Door

I had a very pleasant experience with Dun Rite. Not only were the they the most reasonably priced, but they also had the fastest turnaround time and were extremely accommodating with my schedule. They did a wonderful job customizing the door to fit my old home. Definitely would recommend!

Dino Trasatti, owner, came out to measure. He was fine to deal with and answered all my questions. Order was placed. I especially appreciate no money was required upfront for the order. Paid in full only after job was completed. This was a selling point initially as I had not done business with them before and am leery of having to pay anything before getting anything in return. I also recognized his business risk in ordering the windows and possibly being stuck with that size in his inventory had I backed out of the deal. Not many in the product industry still operate like this anymore. This is a family, locally owned business. My preference is always to work directly with owners as they have the most pride and responsibility in their work and reputation. Work was completed two days ago and went smoothly. Only time will tell how well they stand up. Although I would have preferred the older windows because they were better made back then, they needed to be replaced due to the failure of the operator handle. The replacements are what they are and serve the purpose. No reflection on DunRite, the product or the experience. You get what you pay for with windows and I am aware of this. The installers were personable. They worked efficiently and cleaned up as they went. No complaints only compliments. Dino is very responsive and runs a no gimmick, no nonsense operation. Would not hesitate to use again. Recommend without hesitation.

Perfectly. You wouldn't believe how cold it was the day they did this work, but they finished it perfectly and never complained even though they deserved to! They worked solidly from 8am until 4pm, and the job they did was perfect. The products are great, although choosing them was no simple feat for them. The side door is an unusual size--smaller than normal--and the door they were replacing had been installed in a funky sort of non-standard way. They worked around that and now we have airtightness again. The door is great, the storm doors are amazing, and the new side window is wonderful. I don't know how they did it all so quickly and perfectly, but they did, and we're very happy. I would work with them again in a heartbeat.

Contacted Dun Rite to get an estimate on replacing two larger, outdated single pane crank windows in our living room and kitchen. Dino came out at the agreed time and measured the window openings and explained the type of windows that he would use for the replacement, double paned, energy efficient sliders with vinyl frames. He gave the installation estimate of several weeks as they were extremely busy at that time. The installation time was not a deciding factor for us. They actually called roughly a week earlier than we planned on getting it done and we setup the install. His two employees showed up exactly when they said that they would. They were extremely professional and personable and had both of the old windows removed and the new ones installed within 2 hours. They took great pains to clean up after themselves when the job was completed. The windows have made a huge difference in the comfort downstairs in the home. They look good and fit like a glove in the previous window spaces. The price was a bit lower than other estimates that we had received from some general contractors and there was no change to the initial estimate when it came time to pay. With the professionalism that was displayed by Dino and his two workers that did the install, to the price and finished quality of the product, I would not hesitate to recommend at least considering them the next time that you need windows.

They were very good, reasonable and very well priced. Windows were excellent and they were very efficient.

They had to do some extra work due to it being an older home and they were more than willing unlike some of the other companies I had estimates from.

This a bewildering and complicated project with many types of windows and various categories and types of storms needed. Dino was not always available but did get back within a reasonable time as the ordering and planning progressed. The installation itself went fast. Almost to my surprise, all was done exactly as intended. each window having the right type of storm. The price seemed quite reasonable for the amount of detail and number of windows involved. the house is now warmer.

It could not have gone better. The service is excellent and the work performed was professional and perfect. I would highly recommend this company. The windows are beautiful, easy to clean & quiet. There is a definite difference in the rooms where the windows were installed. Much warmer & quieter! Any time I ever had a question, Dino's response was very timely. I believe he values his customers & has an excellent work ethic.

It went great. The jobs were both done on the same day. The glass block in the garage is perfect, as is the door(s). We have had so many compliments of how great the front door looks (it truly is beautiful). Everyone we have met from the company was polite, and Dino was very nice and very knowledgeable about his products. We would definitely have this company do more of our doors, once we are ready to replace them.

Dun-Rite was recommended to me by my parents who had storm windows built for their house several years ago, Dino was prompt, friendly, and professional. I feel like the price was more than fair and I couldn't be happier with the results. My house feels warmer already and I'm looking forward to lower gas bills this winter. I love the fact that they stay up all year and I can just raise the storms and lower the screens in the summer.

Everything went very well. Dino came to the house and provided an estimate and the work was performed earlier than promised. He made sure that the color of both the inside of the window and the outside of the window and trim matched my current woodwork inside and the siding outside. The installers did a great job and the window is really nice and everything matches perfect. The window functions very well and looks great.

The gentleman who came to give us the quote was extremely professional, and very personable. So when he came in even after I told him he did not have to, he put his shoe covers on and checked out the windows and he actually gave me an estimate on all the other windows and he checked out all my windows and only suggested that I get the 3 done. So that was actually very nice since we were thinking that we would have to get 6 or 8 of them done. But he said that right now that we only need the 3. They came in and were out before I got home from work. The place was extremely clean and you could not even tell that they were here and we would definitely use them again. After we get our cash returns back we will put in the rest of the windows.

Called and made an appointment for measuring. The owner came out within a few days at exactly the appointment time. He got right to measuring, quoted on the spot, answered questions I had about the type of windows they would install, and about other windows others had quoted me. I appreciated that he didn't waste my time with a schpeal like others who had come out and kept me for over an hour while I cared for a newborn baby. He was in and out with my price quoted within 20 minutes. The price (with Angie's list discount) was right in line with what I had been quoted by a competitor. It took us a while to decide and schedule the work from the estimate, but when we did, the date was given and the men showed up. The only spot that I felt there was room for improvement was there was no confirmation call or information given about what time they would show up, only the scheduling of the day several weeks in advance. But when I called the office that morning I was given accurate information. The two individuals who showed up were courteous, helpful, and professional. They were efficient - told me to plan one hour per window and that's exactly what it took. They didn't break for lunch but worked straight through so they were out of there. There was no loud music, or lewd talk. I had my 3 year old and infant with me here the whole time and had no issues with anything that was said. They were willing to work with us to make the installation better match the installation of the other half of our windows that the previous owner had replaced. (They had previously removed the sills and set the windows in toward the house more so that we could just add the trim on the inside of the house for each of the windows.) And they knew how to caulk! I know that seems like a given for a window company, but I've had windows installed before and the caulking job looked like I did it. Have not been happier with a contractor in my home for a very long time. Would definitely use this company again.

Our windows are a little older and weren't opening properly. We weren't sure if they needed fixed or replaced. Dino came out and was honest in saying that they were still in okay shape and didn't need replaced at this time, but he could repair them. Jason arrived about a week later to do the job. He was prompt, professional, and courteous. He completed the job (9 windows) in about an hour. We are thrilled with every aspect of this project.

Dino came to our house and gave us a reasonable price estimate for the two windows we wanted to replace. There was no 1 1/2 hour sales pitch like the other two window companies who we called for estimates. Dino told us what he could do for us and answered all our questions took measurements and noted our special needs and then promised to email us an estimate in a couple days or sooner. This all took less than 20 minutes and within the promised time I received an estimate that was half of what the other companies estimated, in defense of the other firms the window they were pitching were more expensive composite windows that were doubtless more expensive than vinyl to manufacture, but we were not convinced that they would be twice as effective as the vinyl windows we had installed. The installers were polite and cordial and did everything they could to make the installation as stress free on our household as possible. The work was completed in less than 8 hours and they left our house as clean as it was when they came in. It has been over 3 months since the installation and we could not be happier with the results. I will update this review if there are issues with these windows in the future.

Everything was great from start to finish. Dino and all his crews are a pleasure to work with. We received a thorough estimate of cost, time, and materials. The workmanship is excellent and we are extremely happy with the results. Everything was done with the utmost of care of household surroundings such as chandeliers and carpeting, and both crews dealt with any unforeseen obstacles by going above and beyond. Very professional and personable, and their knowledge of their work seemed limitless. We felt at ease right after receiving the estimate that this was the right company to hire, and will not hesitate to hire them again. WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING!

Dino responded to my call very promptly and came by to inspect the windows and provide an estimate within a few days. Communication was mostly via email and very prompt. I was not there for the installation but my husband was and he said the crew got it done quickly and were very professional. This was an older home and the existing windows with wood frames and the framing around it was in bad shape. After they were done everything looked brand new, couldn't be happier. Estimates were pretty good too considering the large windows that were needed. I would highly recommend them.

We were very happy with their work. The window worked out very well for us, we used to put plastic up because of draft, and we don't need to do that with this door. We called them again to find out if they do screen doors, and they said they don't. They were very professional, quick and clean. Their price was the same as the one that someone else had quoted. The window is not high end, but they called us back every time we called them, and they were willing to come out too.

On time and explained everything well. He even stated that there was no hurry in buying replacement windows as my 50 yar old windows were in remarkable shape. He was honest and upfront. When I am ready for new windows I will definitely contact again.

The men came on time and did a great job replacing the upper and lower glass that was fogged. They were very professional, courteous, and respectful of our home. They did good quality work and will use them again if needed.

From beginning to end, we had a great experience with Dun-Rite. The owner, Dino, stopped out to give me the estimate himself and even applied a 5% discount for Angies List customers that I wasn't even aware of. After placing the order, it took a little over a month for the windows to be constructed. Both installers, John and John, were extremely friendly, professional, and tidy. As other reviewers have indicated, you would never know someone was there if there hadn't been new windows! We are extremely satisfied with the quality and service we received.

We love the windows, and feel we got them at a great price. Dino's estimate was quick and efficient. We had had several estimates before calling Dunrite. Every other company came on heavy with the sales pitch. One was there for hours. Dino simply told us what he has to offer, measured our windows and had an estimate out to me either later that day or the next day. His prices were roughly half the next lowest estimate. He provided us with references of previous customers in our area, and all gave glowing reviews. was reasonably quick and painless. His crew cleaned up after themselves pretty well. There was one hiccup when one of our windows was ordered in the wrong size, and they had to reorder it and wait a couple of weeks. However, they came out on Saturday of a holiday weekend to finish the job and make it right.

My doors were an odd size and they had to do a lot of work to get them fitted correctly. They removed th old doors an storm doors and replaced them with th provia doors. They measured, replaced the sill too . They were very curious and did a great job the doors look great and are very tight fit .

It took the Dun-Rite crew most all of the day to remove the old door w/o sidelights and carefully install the new door w/ sidelights. To make the opening wide enough to properly accommodate the new door assembly, the porch/hall light switch had to be moved to an appropriate out-of-the-way location. Space was tight for this task but it was accomplished in a highly satisfactory manner. Thanks to the crew and to my wife for her excellent taste in selecting the door & sidelight designs.

Dino was very professional and flexible. All work was performed efficiently and workers were courteous. Old doors were hauled away and the area was clean when the workers left. Very happy with the finished product.
