Dun-Rite Window and Door

Once again, Dino and his team has come to my rescue. The house I purchased 7 years ago had inferior windows installed, as my luck would have it, the company is no longer in business. When the weather temperature change is extreme cold to warm, as it has done this season the gas between the panes expands and cracks the outside pane. Both times, Dino has come out to my call for service to measure and order the glass. In a timely manner, the glass came in we scheduled the work for 2 days later. The friendly, knowledgeable team arrived promptly. They removed the broken windowsand replaced the new windows quickly and left no mess.

The men from Dun-Rite can certainly be proud of themselves as their work reflects a job well done. Dino came to my house to give me an estimate on replacement windows and new storm doors. I knew even before Dino arrived at my house that his company was going to complete the work needed. I hadn't called any other companies for estimates. There was no need to do this since I had already been impressed by the large number of positive comments about Dun-Rite, Dino and his workers by Angie's List members. John and John showed up promptly Monday morning at 9:00 am and got to work immediately. Jason and Tyler came a little later. Dino stopped by in the afternoon to see how the job was going and to see if his men needed anything. I appreciated the mutual respect and playful banter between Dino,John,John, Jason and Tyler. John,John,Jason and Tyler all showed up on the second day to complete the work. All of the men were respectful of me and my house. They put down drop clothes in order not to mar my floors. They cleaned up as they completed each task. Dun-Rite's office staff was very courteous when I called them. The windows and storm doors are as beautiful as they are functional. My family room is warmer now with the new windows. I love my new storm doors. It is nice that Dino offers a discount to Angie's List members when paying by cash or check. I was impressed with all of the options (ie; colors, styles, materials, etc.) available in windows and storm doors. I was pleasantly surprised that the windows and storm doors were able to be installed in the winter. Dino had explained to me earlier that this was possible depending on the temperature on the day of installation. I highly recommend this company, Dino,John,John,Jason and Tyler. |

Windows were tough for me. I had done my homework - Fiberglass - Wood - Vinyl - Hybrid ? I had 6 different well rated angie's list window companies come and give me estimates which ranged from $11,000 to $30,000 for 37 windows - fiberglass / vinyl / wood / hybrid. after a lot of inner debate about doing the right thing for my house / resale value / neighborhood and not spending a fortune i opted for a high end vinyl option that dun-rite sells. the first guy who came broght an example of his window, he only sold ONE model from one company and it was the cheapest window you could get - very dinky. His estimate and method was to be the cheapest bar none. that is n't what I wanted for my house. I also so a woman who was 'used to only selling high end wood windows' who was nice enough to come slum it in my my neighborhood and talk vinyl. then i had several companies in the middle who made it tough for me - all pretty solid companies selling a decently solid product. after a lot of deliberation i went with Dino at dun-rite. To be fair, Dino's estimate for 37 of a very nice quality vinyl windows was probably about $15k as i recall, but since I have a frame home that sits on a main street, I asked that the front room's windows ( there are many ) be triple pane to help with noise. That increased the price more than the average person would need. I also added a one light storm door since this house had none and I figured It would be easiest to get it all done at once. Dun-Rite's crew was great. Clean. Courteous. and Professional. true it's only been 6 months or less, but I am happy with my choice and would call Dun Rite again or recommend them to friends.

Any problems with installation were resolved in a professional manner. The windows look and perform great! This is the most recent of several door and window replacements Dun-Rite has performed for me; I recommend them highly.

Needed to replace 9 double pane windows as I was getting condensation between the panes that were clouding the view. Thought I needed new windows. Dino came out to measure, he said the windows casings were still good and recommended that all I really needed was new glass. He order the glass and within a couple weeks, two of his guys came out and replaced the glass in all 9 windows in about an hour. I have since used Dino to replace the glass in a couple other windows and intend to use him on any future jobs.

I needed to replace some Traco windows that let the wind come howling through and no longer locked. I found Dunrite on Angie's List, called Dino and left a message. He called back the next day and was able to come and provide the free estimate the following day. He was punctual and personable and gave us great advice (including that we did not need to replace a skylight window we asked about, but just the glass). The price for Vinylmax double-hung windows was $375 each (discounted due to the home show). He advised that it would be 3-4 weeks to get the windows in. To my surprise he called after only 2 weeks and offered to come the next day and do the windows. The workmen came on time, replaced the windows and cleaned up after themselves. I came home from work to new windows with no sign anyone had been there - great! We could feel the difference in room temperature right away with the new windows. I wish all home improvement work went this smoothly and easily. I will definitely call Dunrite when I go ahead and replace some more windows.

Getting a free estimate was easy. Because the estimate was a couple hundred dollars less than a competitor's estimate, I went with Dun-Rite. I was already aware of this company, since I had used them before for screen windows many years ago and had been pleased with their work. The windows were ready in about 3 weeks and we scheduled installation for a Sat. morning. Although I was told the workers would arrive between 8:30 and 9:00, the two guys actually arrived around 9:15. They did a very nice job with the installation, including caulking inside and out. They reinstalled the blinds and curtain, and cleaned up after themselves at the end of the job. They were courteous and professional. I was hoping the total cost of the job would be a little lower, but it was certainly reasonable. The new windows do a much better job of preventing drafts than the old single-pane windows (no big surprise there). I would use Dun-Rite again.

They were good, got back to us quickly on initial contact, did the job, good clean-up, and the windows are nice and wonderful.

Our existing sliding glass door was very drafty, and on especially rainy or snowy days would leak in one corner, which had lead to a small rotten spot in the sub-floor. Dino came over to give us an estimate, he was prompt, professional, and very knowledgeable. We tossed out a couple of ideas, and he was able to tell us very quickly what our options were and give rough estimates. He had an official estimate over the same day (a Saturday). We decided to go with a less-expensive option, and again, he was very quick in getting a new estimate over to us. It took a few weeks to get the door in, but his crew quickly and efficiently installed the new door. The door looks great, and in less than one evening made a noticeable difference in the comfort level of the room. No more chilly toes! I would definitely recommend and will hire again in the future.

The repairman new and did his job well, answered all questions and was in and out in a timely fashion.

coordinated time that worked for us, very professional and courteous while in home doing estimate and work, work completed in a timely manner,very well executed, front door was complicated by previous poor construction work, but spent time figuring out the right soluton so the job was done correctly this time. Made excellent recommendations in what would and wouldn't work with our home. Would highly recommend to anyone and we will use this company again!

I needed to replace two windows. Gino was punctual, professional and offered a cost saving option. I have other windows to replace and I will definitely use their services in the future.

Great. Dino came out twice to provide some quotes. I ended up backing out some jobs to concentrate on the final work (storm door and one window). He took the time to show me choices and options, and it really was pretty easy. Both Dino and the install crew were prompt and you couldn't ask for anything better. Other companies I had come out wanted to push me to add other doors and projects to the final bill. Dino just listed and provided great service in the end.

The owner came out in early June to give us an estimate for replacing all of our windows and a sliding glass door. He was very professional and gave us a quote on the spot after measuring all the windows. He had to special order the sliding door since it was a different size than most similar doors. He told us it would be about 4 weeks and he would call us to schedule installation once everything was in. They called in early July to schedule installation and we agreed on a date in mid-July. The installers arrived at 9:00 AM on the agreed day and started working immediately on the installation. The crew was polite and they cleaned up as they worked. The installation was done about 5:30 PM and you could not even tell they were there they cleaned up so well. We had no problems after installation of the windows. We had Easton windows by Vinylmax installed and five months later we still love them! They are easy to clean, no drafts, and look amazing.

It was great. They showed up on time and went straight to work. They kept everything tidy and cleaned up after they were done. It was freezing and snowing the day they were here so they did the best they could at keeping the rest of the house from the cold weather while the window was removed. Every window had something wacky involved (obviously it happens with older homes), but the installers were able to work through and around every obstacle. We will definitely be hiring them again to replace the other 16 windows and even considering replacing our front and sliding doors too

He first came out to assess the condition of the door and dropped off a Provia door catalog we could use to select the doors we wanted. We exchanged a few emails with questions until we had reached a decision on an entrance door and a storm door. There were plenty of options including different materials, window styles and hardware as well as colors. There was no doubt these doors were far superior to what you'd get at a big box home improvement store. Provia doors cost more but the quality is obvious. The color-matched storm door and entrance door really look great (even the storm door closer and screw heads are color-matched). Some of the brickwork below the threshold had loosened and needed to be repaired. He arranged for another contractor to remove the loose bricks and insert a precast concrete block prior to the door installation, and conveniently rolled that in to our overall invoice. We were told when the door would arrive and he called to arrange installation. Installation required replacing the entire frame as well as the doors. The doors were exactly as we ordered and the installation was professional. They put down cardboard where they were working then swept up after they finished, leaving the area spotless. Our doors are so much more weathertight - you really have to tug on the entrance door to open it because of the strong seal of the storm door. The locks operate very smoothly. One piece of trim was a little too short and they had to re-order that piece which took about a week - and we weren't asked to pay a cent until the entire job was completed, including that replacement piece of trim. Overall very pleased and would certainly use again. Recommended.

The installers arrived basically on time and went directly to work. Removed the four windows from the one room and then replaced them with the glass block windows. While the one installer laid the block the second fellow removed the windows from the second room. All the demolition waste was removed. As the installer finished a window the second fellow would follow up and finish the outside of the window installation. The installation went smoothly and fairly quickly. They cleaned up well but there was dust. Even though they swept the floors there was dust that couldn't be picked up without a vacuum or a mop. Would recommend to the customer to cover or remove items from the room being worked on.

Fantastic experience overall with these guys. We will use them again.

Straightforward, friendly; no bells and whistle; just professional and knowledgeable. Also, he gave us several options given our financial situation. As soon as windows become first priority, we will definitely go to Dun Rite.

Great all around. Dino came out to take measurements and then sent me his estimate the same day. After the windows came in (took a week or so), the installers came and removed the old ones and installed the new ones. They were finished in two days and cleaned up very well. The wrapping work is top notch.

Dino returned my original phone call and I told him at that time that I am an Angie's List member and saw his profile on the site. He sounded a bit flustered and explained that he was very busy. I told him that I understood and that he must be doing something right if he was busy. He told me he would call me the following day to set up an appointment to provide an estimate. That call never came and it is three days after the promised date. In business, never make a promise you can't keep. Not calling as promised tells me all I need to know...Dun-Rite doesn't want my business.

Dino called me few days after I contacted him to request an estimate, and came out within a few days. I've used them before to install three windows which have held up beautifully, so I already knew what windows I wanted. Dino measured the windows and we scheduled a time to do the job. Two window installers, John and John, did the installation. Tall John was the same installer that did our last job. They were prompt, efficient, and did a beautiful job cleaning up. One very small issue that came up was that they did not tell me a picture had fallen off of a wall while they were working. No damage done, but I would have liked to have been told. One of the screens was damaged, and when I pointed it out, they said they would take it and have it re-screened. It was done and promptly returned and installed the next day. The workmanship was great, John and John were professional, considerate, and the windows look beautiful and function well. I've had 2 great experiences with this company.

It was a pleasure dealing with Dino and his crew. Dino came out quickly to give me an estimate. He was quite knowledgeable and helpful. He provided an estimate in a timely fashion. The price was really reasonable. His crew arrived as scheduled and did an excellent job.... They went beyond what one expects...being sure that everything was adjusted and worked the way it was supposed to. This is the kind of experience with house repair companies that you like to have but hardly ever get.
