Bob Pickur

They replaced all the two-prong outlets in my living room, dining room, and all bedrooms with three-prong outlets. They installed/replaced a broken outdoor light. They replaced a couple light switches in the house. Also fixed two ceiling light fixtures that were not working. They even checked on some electrical fixtures done by someone else to make sure they had been done properly. They were efficient, thorough, and explained what was going on at each outlet or fixture! Will definitely hire again for future needs! I was surprised at the cost, thought it would be more for how much got done in the time they were here!

Bob did a great job. He arrived on time, installed the outside outlets, and then the porch ceiling fan. He showed me what he had done when he was finished, and completely cleaned up after himself. He did a really good job and is a very nice man. I would definitely use him again the next time I need some electrical work done.

We had an electrical issue with a broken bulb that blew out the circuit line somewhere in the house. Bob started early and didnt stop until he solved the problem and made it right. He ended up trouble shooting for a bit to determine where the original power was coming from with old wiring and hidden runs, running new line with little exposure to opening walls, (one 3/16and quot; hole, easy patch) cleaned up afterwards and kept me in the loop the entire time so I knew what was going on. He's a very personalbe guy, professional, experienced (in biz since 88 I think) and I would call him in a heartbeat and recommend him to my closest friends without worries he will make them happy a fix any problems they have at a very reasonable cost. Bob returned my call the same day. He made sure that the new fixture worked properly and was set to my preferences. He thoroughly explained how to make any future adujusments. Very responsive and accomodating in scheduling.

In hind site we should have had Mr. Pickur from the beginning of the kitchen remodel. I'm sure it was frustrating for him to have to come in and retro fix all of these problems. Having said that he did an outstanding job. He was prompt, efficient, and very competent. We are very pleased with his work.

First of all, Bob and his partner arrived exactly on time. They informed me what would happen and in what order. They starded on the removal of the fuse box and then installing the breaker box (and all that goes along with that, i.e., inside and outside wiring, etc.); showed me the damage in the wiring to the original fuse box; while Steve installed the hall light fixture, Bob installed the bedroom outlets; basement outlet installed prior to that. They both worked on the proch lights and they labeled the breakers. They both were polite, neat and they cleaned up after themselves.

Results are excellent. Ran line in inconspicuous location along electric meter/main line, installed thermostatically controlled heaters in both third floor rooms, and cleaned up very well. Equally as important, promptly returned my intitial call, promptly came to give an estimate, and did the work within a week. Bob is not only a good tradesman but serivce oriented.

We needed some wiring done in a room we were remodeling. Bob explained to us clearly and simply how the work would be done. He also pointed out that, while the ceiling was open, he could run wiring to some other rooms that would be remodeled in the future. We contracted for that work and he completed it quickly and well and cleaned up after himself. He's the kind of guy that, one day when he left he noticed the meat I was thawing in the sink was completely thawed, he put it in the refrigerator, I had been held up at work and was grateful for his thoughtfulness. He is excellent and his job and pleasant and professional to work with. We will hire him again as we continue to work our way through remodeling our home.

He came out and made recommendations and did all the work. By charging on an hourly basis he was able to adjust the scope of the job in an equitable way (both adding items and deleting them). He completed the whole job in less than 2 days.

I left a message with his answering service one evening. He called back next day,and we arranged for him to come and do the most important job (to me) that afternoon.

It went very well, from the initial contact through the completion of the job. We agreed on an early start time (perfect for me) and they were here exactly on time. Bob assessed the situation and started working. In the meantime, I had to purchase another kitchen fixture as the one I had purchased was broken inside of the box. No problem. He returned an hour or so later to install the kitchen and hallway fixture. His price was definitely in line with my budget. He also gave me an extimate on some other work that must be done, sooner rather than later. My brother and I thought the extimate was fair.

Bob and Steve (I think) were excellent! They showed up on time and were very friendly and polite. They both got right down to business and started with my two kitchen pendant lights. After they had installed one I changed my mind on the height and asked them to adjust it and they very politely did just that. After completing the kitchen they installed the dining room chandelier and adjusted it exactly as my husband and I asked with no complaints at all. Then I asked him to take a look at a chandelier i wanted installed in my bedroom (that I had not previously asked him to help with when we originally spoke). He told me they could install it right then, no problem. Bob is even looking into installing a chandelier in my two story foyer that would require renting scaffolding to install and letting me know pricing. I could not have been any happier with his service!

This was our first experience using Bob Pickur as an electrician, and we were completely satisfied with every aspect of his work on our project. He came out to give us an estimate within a day or two of our first call. When he described how he would do the work, he was clear and professional, and his estimate was very reasonable. Bob began the work on one of the hottest days of the summer, and he and his partner completed it in a single day. By the time I got back from work and opened the garage, a brand new breaker panel was staring at me, along with several new outlets. The job was done and power and A/C were already back on! We have some additional electrical tasks that need to be done next, and we'll definitely be calling Bob to do them. Incidentally, this was my first experience using Angie's List, so I'm happy to report that the membership fee has already been well worth it. We're relatively new to Pittsburgh, and it's hard to know who to trust. Bob Pickur definitely goes on the trusted list!

It went well. Bob did not charge us for the entire fee since he didn't really have to do any work. He was prompt in calling back and attending the appointment. We would definitely use him again if we had problem.

This is the second time that we have used Bob Pickur. Again, he was prompt, courteous and reasonably priced. He returned our call quickly and showed up to do the work within a few days. He came on time at 7:30 a.m. and completed the job within an hour. Before replacing the ceiling fan/light fixture he asked me if I wanted him to try and fix the existing ceiling fan/light fixture. I said yes and although it was not able to be fixed, I really appreciated that tried to save me money by repairing it instead of replacing it with a brand new one. Called Bob Pickur on a monday morning, he returned my call that very afternoon. I told him the problems we were having and he said he could come out the next day. Bob and his associate showed up on time, were very friendly and completed the work we needed in lightning fast time. I was totally blown away at the excellent service that we received. I say this because I had to call three other electricians and none returned my call. I guess they didn't need the work or did not care. I have dealt with many contractors over the years and I would hightly reccomend Bob Pickur.
