We had Elite come give us an estimate to remove trees and grind the stumps around our pool. They came out quickly, seemed very nice and gave us an estimate. We told them we wanted to have them do the work but then the problems began. Elite did not show up when they said they would but then after several emails they came and removed the trees. The two men who performed the work were very skilled and professional cutting the trees down. Then Elite said they would be back early the following week to grind the stumps, again they did not show up to when they said they would. We finally got them to come out and grind the stumps but much to our dismay when we had a nursery come to plant new trees it turned out that they did not grind the stumps they just cut the flush with the ground and covered them with dirt. We called Elite and they said they would grind the stumps if we sent them an email releasing them from all liability since the trees were next to the pool. We told them they knew about the pool because they came to our house to give us the quote and they said at that time they did not have a problem with the pool. Elite said they would send someone out the next day and they still have not showed up 3 days later. We hired someone else to finish the job.

Aaron, one of Elite's estimators, was very professional and walked through our entire yard with me, looking at all the trees' roots, trunks, branches, and bark to see how healthy each tree was. We determined that 5 trees need to be cut down (we have about 40 very tall trees on the property) due to illness or death. We live on a steep hill with no real access for heavy machinery. The trees that Eiite cut down and removed were at the bottom of the hill. So they needed to cut down each tree, remove the branches, then cut the trunks into 3-foot logs. Then they had to put each log (200-300 lbs!) on a hand truck and walk it to the top of the hill. Actually, they had to RUN the truck up the hill because, if they lost any momentum, the truck would stop and start moving down the hill. It took 3 men to do each run. They completed the job in 5 days. They arrived each morning at about 7:30, and left at about 3:30. Except for about 30 minutes for lunch, they were working. Again, they were RUNNING huge logs up a steep hill for 5 days. About 2 days into the job, Aaron spoke to me and said that his initial estimate was too low because they needed to bring in 2 extra men to help get the logs up the hill. His new estimate was about 20% higher. For the amount of work they were doing, I thought it was a reasonable adjustment. The estimate included only cutting down the trees and removing branches and logs (plus removing one stump). It did not include any reseeding or other landscaping. Although I could have found a cheaper competitor, I don't think I could have found a better tree service provider. I highly recommend them for their work ethic, expertise, honesty, and integrity. By the way, I used another tree service company the previous year, and it was one of the worst experiences I have had - untimely, untruthful, horrible job, and work only half completed (I think they knew they were already in the hole from the damage they had done to my property, so they cut their losses. To their credit, they never asked for the balance, although it probably cost me more to repair the damage than it would have to have paid them the remainder of the balance).
Description of Work: Eiite cut down and removed 5 80-100 foot trees and removed the stump of one of the trees.

I just think that they are very professional service that doesn't just look for trees to take them, they are actually concerned about the trees. They helped me recover a tree that had been blown over in the storm, sandy. They really do a lot of follow up care for not a lot of money. They just don't push you to have work done immediately unless they seal it, really important. They did a nice clean up job.
Description of Work: I've used Elite Tree Service. Last time I've used them was in the fall, they moved a tree.
