SOLANO'S FURNITURE RESTORATIONS

Description of Work: I have an expensive chair on rollers. One roller no longer fits into the chair properly. They thought they could fix it relatively easily. They called and said they could not and would only charge me for delivering the chair back to me in better condition than it was when they took it to fix, but still not moveable on the roller. I need to discuss with them how they would fix it for 3 to 4 times as much as they first estimated. I will probably let them do it because other than the roller, the chair is in good condition and as indicated would be very expensive to replace. They came when they said they would and were easy to deal with.

Description of Work: Repair of some chairs. We've been using Solano's for years. No other place nearby quite like them.

Description of Work: Called to get an estimate on refinishing a vintage bureau and chest. Company very responsive to my call. I was asked where I found them and said it was through a general internet search. When I did a search on Angie's list for a refinisher they did not come up and I was looking for someone in Philly, so I did a general internet search. I booked an appointment for the Friday of the same week at 10 am for them come out to the house and let them know that the furniture was at another location than my own home and that I would be there waiting for them. I was not given a time range of arrival, so I expected them at 10. At 11 am, already an hour overdue, I was getting ready to leave and I got a call saying that they were running late and could they come at around 11:45 or so, and if that did not work the following Tuesday. I was already on my way out of the house as I had a delivery at my home due at noon. I did not reschedule.
