Had two broken custom kitchen cabinet doors and Jim came and fixed them in such a way they looked new. Wow.

Jim responded to my request for a garbage disposal within an hour, and fit us in the very next morning. He picked up the parts for us and finished the job within an hour, which allowed me to get to work on time. He offered to dispose of the old parts for us, and was about to let me under-pay him by $20 (I didn't let him). Efficient, quality work, super friendly, respectful, and an interesting guy to boot. Highly recommend.

Jim was incredibly accommodating to the amount of work I needed. I had done some of the prep, and he gave me a fair price based on my efforts. In all communications he was professional and the job was completed timely and very well; he even fixed other contractors mistakes in the process free of charge. I won t be going anywhere else for any work on my house besides McCaffrey and already have him lined up for another job in a few months. Highly recommend

Jim did an excellent job installing and relocating a ceiling fan and a lighting fixture for us, as well as removing some old wall sconces and patching over them. We wanted a dimmer switch for the light, but had forgotten to buy one so Jim picked one up for us when he went to pick up some of his tools. In addition to his great work, he also showed up on time, was incredibly friendly, and charged a fair price.

Jim is a great guy that cleans up after his work. He installed three appliances very professionally. I would hire him for other jobs.

I bought a Whirlpool Washer & Dryer back in the beginning of June from Home Depot and the delivery was delayed for two months for a variety of reasons. The washer & dryer was finally delivered on July 19, 2019 by Home Depot. I had taken the day off from work for the delivery and installation. However, Home Depot said that I needed to get a power dryer cord therefore they were not going to install the washer & dryer. So, I rescheduled them to come back on July 26, 2019 and had to take another day off from work. July 26, came and went and the men from home depot never showed up nor did they call to say they were not coming. At this point, I was frustrated and angry because I didn't know who else could install the washer and dryer. I no longer trusted home depot. So I looked on home advisor and found Electric appliance and called them and they were only able to come out on Saturday morning between 8 and 12 the following week and they were only coming out to assess the project and not install the washer and dryer. I had to cancel the appointment because I was not able to get the day off from work. So I went back on Home Advisor to see if I could find someone else to do the work and I saw McCaffrey Home Improvement. I called on Monday, August 5, 2019 and left a voicemail message for Jim McCaffrey and by the end of the day he had had called back and we coordinated for him to come out on Thursday, August 8, 2019, if I was able to get the day off. I was not able to get the day off. I called Jim and told him I would need to reschedule he said he would come on the 8th of August anyways AFTER I finished work. He adjusted HIS schedule to accommodate me. On Thursday, Jim came around 4:30pm with his tools in hand prepared to install the washer and dryer. He assessed the situation and told me that I did NOT need the dryer cord but a corrugated washing machine discharge hose. I did not have it, but instead of saying that he would come back when I had the cord, JIM HIMSELF WENT TO HOME DEPOT AND BOUGHT THE CORRECT CORD. Before Jim left to go get the cord, I had given Jim my FOB key to get in and out of the building. Jim came back and finished the project. He worked hard to make sure that the installation was done correctly. His fee was TOTALLY reasonable and rationale when completed. In conclusion, I would warmly and highly recommend Jim for any and all home improvements. Not only was the quality of his work top-notch but it was evident that his work ethic was 100%. The fact that he went and got the cord himself and returned the FOB key to me said quite a bit about him. Not only was he honest and true-to-his word, he was trustworthy. I would absolutely utilize the services that he offers again.

Mr. McCaffrey always called before he came and always showed up. The quality of his work was very good and he was easy to work with. He is able to do many different jobs ex. cabinet repair and plumbing. Therefore, there was no need to hire a plumber after he repaired our kitchen cabinet.
