They are very rude, spoke to me in a disrespectful manner, and when I was talking to them, they put their hand up in my face. They said that they would only talk to my husband and not me even though it is my car. They told me to leave the shop and they were not going to fix the top. This all happened the first time I took my car to them after the first time my car was not correct which was in August 2011. A few months later, I went back because there was a problem with the top and they said they would replace it. They notified the manufacture while I was there to notify the problem and he said there would be no problem and everything would be taken care of. After we left, we waited weeks and I had to call them and he said that the manufacture had to see my car. They said the car was defected and they would send J&J a new top. I asked if there was a warranty and they said there was a two year warranty and they said I would get the warranty. A while went by and I never heard from them about the top so I called the manufacture to see if they sent the top and then right after J&J called to tell me to bring in my car. I took my car there and they said it would be a few days and they would call. We never heard from them and I called and they said that they needed for use to come in. They said that something was wrong with my car. They realized that they needed to replace the pads so they ordered the pads and said that they would replace the top. Later they called back and said that they were not going to replace the top and that they were going to give me a deal. The deal was to give me $100 and the top in a box and once the top on my car needs replace to bring my car back and they would replace it. They said that I would have to sign off on this deal, which I would not do. I went and picked up my car and went to several shops to make sure that the problem was not my car. I found out that nothing was wrong with my car. I was told the best top for my car would be an Electron. I called them and said nothing was wrong with my car and I started to file a claim but the place that I went to file a claim told me to try and get it resolved before I file the claim. I sent them a letter and after they got the letter, they said that they would replace the top and told me that I could pick the top of my choice and they would supply and replace the top at no charge. The brother said that he would replace the top. They told me that they would put a top on of my choice, and I told them that I wanted an Electron Top because this type of top is the most recommend type of top for my car. When I went to pick up my car, it was not an Electron Top. My top was real shinny and slick looking and I asked the guy who put the top on why it looked like that. He said that the detailed guy cleaned it with silicon which he should have never put on the top. The guy said he would get it off and when he started to rub it off, the color of the top started to come off. When I showed the owner, he got mad and told me he was done with me and went into the office and shut the door. Also, the top is very hard to shut. All I am asking is for them to repair the top correctly with the Electron top as stated they would.
Description of Work: They were supposed to replace my convertible top because the one that I had was defective.

Response from J & J AUTO SEAT
We replaced the Convertible Top for the 1989 Chrysler LeBaron to satisfy customer for a second time at No Charge. We made an agreement to replace the top for a second time as long as she understood; we could not take responsibility for any issues resulting from convertible top frame problems as reference in the attached Service Bulletins. Per the attached Service Bulletin from Chrysler (which she received a copy) there are problems with the convertible top frame that causes the wear marks in the convertible top material. We installed the second Top and Pads based on the Manufacturer’s recommendation. We made a verbal agreement before installing the second top, which both parties understood. That J & J would be released of any responsibility resulting in damage to the convertible top due to theses services issues. I feel this customer is being completely unreasonable. We have been in the business for over 30 years. I would like to add, about her comment that the top is very hard to shut. Every convertible top that we install we tell every customer they must wait at least a week before putting the top down to allow it to stretch.

Excellent. I asked if I could wait while they did the work and they let me sit in their lobby which had a large work table. Coffee and a smile were added benefits to the hight speed internet connection while allowed me to catch up on email while they completed the headliner. At every step they explained and showed me what was going on.
Description of Work: They carefully removed the sun visors, trim and old head liner, cleaned the substrate, installed the new head liner and reinstalled the trim and accessories.

THEY DID EXCELLENT WORK. I ALSO HAD RE-PANELING WITH LEATHER ON THE INSIDE OF THE DOORS ON MY OTHER CAR, WHICH IS A 1974 CADILLAC. THEY DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB ON THAT.
Description of Work: I HAD STUFFING ADDED TO THE FRONT SEATS OF MY CHEVY AS THEY WERE UNCOMFORTABLE.
