The price was reasonable. We went with them because they were the best price and gave the most bang for the buck. It was under $500. They guy was just really great.

Tried to replace wax seal on my own. Pulled up the toilet and found that the flange had rusted completely away causing the toilet to shift on the pvc pipe and splitting the top portion of the pipe. Called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. Service man came out in the afternoon and accesed to problem. Gave me two prices up front. One price if he had to use a jack hammer to break through the foundation to access and repair the pipe. The other price if he was able to access and repair the pipe without goinig through the foundation. Luckily he was able to make repairs without having to dig up the foundation. This was the lower of the two prices. I greatly appreciated the fact that the service man was willing to try the repair without digging up the foundation first because it would have meant replacing ceramic tiles around the toilet which would have cost even more.

I was given an arrival time in block form, that is to say from 9am to 12pm. Th technician arrived around 9:25am. I explained the problem and he showed me the situation regarding the antiquated drain. He discussed a couple of repair options one of which proved to be not feasable. So, without delay he proceded to complete the repair using the alternate method which actually turned out to be better for me in that it involved less destruction, but was more work for him. It took him about 3 hours to complete which shows just how involved it was. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the quality of the work.

John K. the Plumber said the disposal made a and quot;pasteand quot; of rice that clogged the drain pipe below the trap. He suggested that we use a drain cleaner for garbage disposals monthly to avoid this problem in the future. He said this cleaner can be found in Lowes or Home Depot.
Although I graded the price of this service a and quot;Band quot; based upon 45 minutes of work. It could possibly be graded an and quot;Aand quot; or and quot;Cand quot;. I could not find a price for resolving a comparable problem on Angie's List. Bottom-line the problem was resolved. John was very polite, professional; and, gave us preventive tips. He made us comfortable in knowing that we could depend upon Ben Franklin Plumbing in the future if we needed their help.

From the first day that I found them, they were great. You call them up in the morning because I had a leak in the kitchen sink and someone would be there in the afternoon. They put booties on their shoes when they come into the house. They are very responsive, when they say they will be there at a certain time they are there. The tech calls when he is on his way and he arrives right at the time they say. The price is great and the quality is fantastic. They are very professional and I will continue to use them again in the future.

These guys are great. They were PUNCTUAL too... (like in their tagline). No complaints here.... prompt, great service at a great price. They even wore little booties to ensure they didnt get our cream carpets dirty, And they stand by their work. I will always call them for any of our Plumbing needs!

We worked with them and we're working now again with them actually. They're giving us a quote. The proprietor's name is Jim. We don't remember how much we spent on their services. We had a concern about the faucet that has been in for about a year and it was banging like it had water hammer right on. Its like you turn it on from the sump and it won't sound right. So we called them and ultimately they came over and with no hassles replaced the entire fixture which was not cheap. That was very good. We would absolutely recommend them. They have good service and they are responsive.

The work they did was done well and I haven't had any problems with it. They are excellent to me and they really have gone above and beyond the call of duty. Anytime I have been concerned about something they have come right away. While I was away my daughter called and they talked her through everything rather than sending someone out. I think they do excellent work but I think you might pay a little more with them than you would with others.

Their work is good. They were prompt and came out within an hour or two. I found them to be too expensive, so I won't them to be calling them again.

The amount for the repair we performed was for $579, not $750. I'm sorry that you feel we are priced to high. Our prices are based on our costs of doing business and providing a fair profit, so we can provide you in sending a drug tested, backround checked, uniformed professional to your home within an hour or two of your problem. We did provide you with a new sump pump and check valve with a 7 year warranty, which is no one else provides, except maybe a 1 year warranty. We are not the cheapest company out there, and we are not by far the most expensive either, but in order to provide our clients the guaranteed on time, proffessional, true 24 hour service, there is a cost to deliver that. Remember you always talk to a live call taker 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. I would hope you would see the value of that and give us a 2nd chance to show you the difference between us and the other companies out there. Feel free to call us anytime @215-340-7921. I requested the repair and replacement of my tub's hot and cold wands and the repair of the tub's leaking faucet. The service man tried to charge us for the visit in addition to the service being performed. I had to call office to get this waived. Also, the wands were replaced with a set that was inferior to the original and we were charged about $25 for a set that can be purchased in lowes for $6. I asked them to return and replace with wands similar to what was on the tub originally and i never heard back from them. I would not use them again.

Our sewer drainage pipe was clogged. They investigated the cause and they could see that there was a break in the pipe. They cleaned it out so we could use it but they said they would have to replace that section of pipe. I thought, "now we are talking real money". I was very relieved when they said it would only cost $2500.00. I was at work when the work was done. My wife reported that there were four men and a back hoe. It took them 6 hours to complete the work. I think the price was very reasonable.

Went great. They were in and out in relatively little time. They were also quite conscientious about laying down a tarp so they didn't track anything through my house. Since we didn't have any water (and two young children at home), we didn't feel like we had the option to shop around for the "best price," so we basically went with the company that called us back first. So, not sure if we got a reasonable price or not.

He couldn't find the leak. He also said that he would have to come back for the leak and sink installation. He never told us about a service charge. We had to pay him for the service charge. He never called or came back to follow-up with service. He didn't do anything and we were unhappy with his services.

Very well. Technicians were on time, wore little paper booties and were willing to explain everything. Did a neat job, accommodated my requests, helped move a heavy shelf unit so as to have unit and use less usable basement storage space. It's not the first time I have hired them to do plumbing work. I think that their work and materials are consistently top-notch.

The company called back within a half hour on a Monday evening and had someone at my house almost immediately. The man that came told me that he could not fix it that night but promised to come back early the next morning. Two men came, on time, and spent several hours fixing my problem, then going over a few other questions I had. The work was done well. They cleaned up after themselves and even sent me a thank you note. I'd recommend them any time. This was the only company out of about 8 that even responded to my request for emergency service that night and they followed through completely.

WE WOULD GLADLY RECOMMEND BEN FRANKLIN PLUMBING TO OUR NEIGHBORS AND FRIENDS. BRIAN, THE PLUMBER WHO DID OUR WORK, WAS ON TIME, POLITE, AND SPENT TIME WITH US EXPLAINING THE DETAILS OF HOW THE TRIP VALVE MECHANISM WORKS. BRIAN SAID THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME HE HAD INSTALLED SUCH A DEVICE AND HE WAS GOING TO INSTALL SUCH A DEVICE IN HIS HOME. THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE AND DID ADDITIONAL WORK TO FIND THE SPECIFIED TRIP VALVE THAT WE WANTED INSTALLED. BEN FRANKLIN'S TRUCKS AND PERSONNEL ARE CLEAN AND PROMPT.
