Peak Floors

They refinished about 800 square foot of wood flooring and we are very pleased with the final product.

Worst decision ever. That old saying "If you want something done right, you better do it yourself" could not be more true. We hired Peak Flooring to come out and refinish the hardwood floors in our house. We chose them because of their rating and felt like they would be able to give us what we wanted. What should have been a three day job took over two and a half weeks and we still have problems. When we first arrived home to look at the floors, the color is not what we wanted, we found footprints in the finish & scratches in our floor boards. We contacted them, explained the situation and it took them 4 more days before they sent someone out to correct. When they did try and correct it, the stains didn't match so they had to re-do the entire level. When we arrived home for the second time, we still found footprints in the finish, scratches on the floor boards, stain on our walls, and on all of the air vents. They left the painters tape up, it was like they couldn't be bothered to clean up after themselves. This is someones home we are talking about. It felt as if they didn't care that we were out of our house for over two weeks and honestly it felt like they rushed the job and didn't pay attention to detail. Thank god we had family to stay with, otherwise I can't imagine what our hotel and kennel bills would have cost on top of the payment for the floors. I do not recommend this company if you want a professional experience.

Ron and his team were very professional. They gave good advice and our floors look great! The odor from the project was minimal and the system Ron uses is truly dustless.

When we decided to refinish our hardwood floors, we had absolutely no idea how to proceed. We researched numerous companies, including Peak Floors, and requested a quote. Ron Urban came to our home and gave us a detailed quote to remove the carpeting and refinish the living room, dining room, hallway and 2 sets of steps. The quote was reasonable and Ron's professionalism and attention to detail gave us the confidence that Peak Floors would do quality work. And we were not disappointed! The floors and steps look amazing, even better than we could have imagined. Many thanks to Ron, Pat and Chris for making our floors a showcase to friends and family.

Ron and his team did an outstanding job. The job included new hardwood floor installation and staining on our first floor. Time constraints due to the holidays made it tough, but they got it done in the time estimated. Would most definitely use them again!

Ron Urban and his crew of Sean and Patrick were awesome. Like, really, REALLY, awesome. I felt comfortable with Ron right from the day he gave me the estimate - which was very fair in comparison to other companies I had come to look at my house. I honestly can't recommend them enough. Ron, Sean and Patrick did meticulous work on my 100 year old floors - ensuring they were sanded and stained to perfection. They listened to every concern that I had and answered everything without any technical jargon or talking over me. Ron walked me through every step of the process - from the sanding to the stain to the polyurethane. They treated my home like theirs - didn't spill anything anywhere or leave any food around like other contractors who have been in my house have done. They were courteous and prompt and clean. Their system were 99% dustless and I can't recommend it enough. I was so overjoyed with the look and feel of my floors that I actually handed out business cards to my neighbors who I knew were in the market for a flooring specialist. I wish I had more floors to Ron and his crew to refinish- that's how much I love my floors now! A+

I own a condo in Oakland, and the parquet floor was in a bad shape and needed refinishing. Like any cautious consumer, I went online, contacted a few floor companies with good standing and received three quotes. Peak Floor came in with the lowest bid, and yet the company's online reviews were the best among the three companies. We went ahead and chose Peak Floor. Throughout the process, Ron answered texts and calls promptly. Since I wanted a lighter shade to brighten up the unit, Ron gave me input with his expertise and knowledge. On occasions that I thought of changing shades, Ron communicated with me in patience. I especially like the fact that he uses only water-based stain and sealers, which are environmentally friendly. The final result is so beautiful and I am very pleased.

Good quality work refinishing hard wood stairs.

Recently had 3 bedroom floors resanded and restained by Peak Floors. My husband and I hired another contractor 2 months ago to do the job originally, which turned into a complete disaster- rough floors, scratch marks, and no polyurethane finish to our floors. (Not to mention, the workers didn't show up for two days that they said they were going to work on the floor.) A few weeks ago, we called another hardwood flooring company for an estimate. I was told that our floors were "not fixable" He stated that he was unable to get the scratch marks off of the floor from the other contractor and that that the only thing that could be done to our floors at this point was just to add a polyurethane coat. He stated that he would send an estimate in a few days. Continously called the contractor and received no response about fixing our floors. This floor project had become a living nightmare and I felt completely discouraged and hopeless regarding my "not fixable" floors. I figured that I would just search online one more time and came across Peak Floors. Ron and Sean were great. Very Professional. I came home from work today and my floors were absolutely beautiful. Breathtaking. Words cannot explain my happiness. It's amazing and quite the talent of the fine detail they brought out to my "not fixable floors".

Refinish hardwood floor in master bedroom while matching existing (already finished) hardwood floor in hallway. Quality workmanship. Professionalism from start to finish. Was able to color match from my existing hardwood floors - they even sanded an area and put down samples of different color stains so I could see how it would match up. No dust and cleaned up work area before they left. The floor looks absolutely beautiful.

Ron and Sean were very professional and worked with us on all decisions we needed to make explaining differences in each. Would recommend to family and friends. Plan to have them back in the spring to do another area.

Ron and his crew did a great job refinishing the floors in three bedrooms of our home. State of the art equipment was used to keep the dust to a minimum, which was very important to us. Very professional and up to date with the latest products and procedures. They take pride in their work and this is reflected in the final product. Ron, Sean and Jeff did a fantastic job on refinishing the hardwood floors in our dining room, entry and office. I am not one to typically write reviews but on a very small number of occasions I have been blown away by customer service and job quality... This is one of those times I am totally blown away. Peak went above and beyond and Ron was available morning, noon or night with any questions I had. I truly didn't even believe it was possible to refinish my floors due to a very thick aluminum oxide coating and most folks I called in Pittsburgh wouldn't touch it. Not only was Peak able to refinish the floors, but they did the floors flawlessly, the guys even cleaned! I believe in this company so much that I am going to put my personal email on this review and if you would ever like to see before and after pics I can send them to you. Peak Floors did a great job on my 60 year old red oak hardwood floors. They custom mixed 2 different stains together to make a one of a kind finish that looks absolutely beautiful. Ron and Jason were a pleasure to work with and their pricing is very, very competitive. I wouldn't hesitate to give them a call for a free estimate.
