I am grateful to the Harvey's for making this process so easy. I am a absentee landlord and they kept me informed throughout the process. They worked with our renters to schedule the job at a time that was convenient for them. Our 40+ years old heater was on it's last legs and the Harvey's made an effort to get the new heater in before the cold weather set it. They also returned, when requested, to replace the thermostat with one that we preferred.

Another company supposedly came out to fix the problem, but when the heat still would not stay on, the same company wanted to charge me to come out. E.A. Harvey, solved the problem and did a thorough job.

E.A. Harvey was great. They were here in 1 1/2 hours after I called. The tech Jim was great. Mr. Harvey called me himself to try to help. Could not have been happier. Services my whole system, for a great price. Will recommend to everyone I know!

Ed is a very honest gentleman and an outstanding professional to work with. I had recently moved to my first house and had already incurred a ton of expenses. Since this was an estate deal there were no disclosures on the house. The inspection guy had not done a good job of evaluating the oil heating furnace and the contractor that was working at my place at that time pointed to me few shortfalls in the piping from the furnace. I had never used a oil furnace before and I was very worried of using it. I contacted Ed with the issue after reading reviews on Angies list and called him for a review and estimate. I was also considering moving from oil to gas but with the recent expenses I was worried if I have to incur another huge expenditure. So here comes Ed one fine morning, reviews the systems and tells me I know what it is like to own a new house and as I see after reviewing the system you can carry on with your oil furnace without any issues through the winter. That was such a relief for me! And he gives me the estimate for the furnace cleaning, pipe fixing and to get rid of all the complicated thermostat wiring at my home AND the estimate for changing from oil to gas. He asks me to take a decision and let me know! I decided to defer the change of oil to gas until next summer and go with the repair work. Its been couple of weeks since the repairs and its been great so far. I also had to remind them to send me the invoice :) Ed has earned my trust for sure and even if I have to premium for future services, its going to be with EA Harvey for sure! On a different note, Bonnie handles all the administrative work and is a pleasure to deal with. Thanks.

My husband & I were convinced our "big" Air conditioning service company would tell us we needed a totally new system ($20,000 plus) based on their previous review. When they couldn't get to us right away, we tried Ed. He came immediatelly and got us up and running with a small fix that cost us $150!

After dealing with a prior HVAC installer who totally blew me off after a poor installation job, I signed up for Angie's List to find a better HVAC repairman. After a prompt and knowledgable initial contact with Ed's wife, I recieved an immediate call-back from Ed and he arrived on-shedule to complete the work. Ed listened to what I wanted and helped me make an infrmed decison. The work was done fast, and done right. His price was fair and I highly recommend his services.

He had to come two times. We called and they came out pretty quick, the owner is very nice. The problem was not solved the first time around, it was kind of like, he was not going to be hitting that as he was not sure what the problem was, but when we called back saying that it was not working again, he came back out the same day, found the problem and fixed it. We have been fine since then. We would definitely call him again. Price wise we think it was pretty reasonable.

Ed Harvey was on time and came with an assistant. He explained everything that was involved in an annual service of central AC systems. The price of the job was reasonable. I was very satisfied.

Got an appointment the next day when we we called. They called to confirm before he arrived. Technician was very professional and thorough. Explained what he was doing and answered all our questions.

Service was fast and efficient. It has been two weeks and the AC is working great.

Bonnie, one of the oweners of E. A. Harvey sent their technician Jim out at first availability. Jim was prompt, courteous, and professional. He asked a number of questions about our problem, then went about diagnosing the cause. He spent about 45 minutes testing various components of our HVAC system, added refrigerant to the AC system, and concluded his visit. He was clearly knowledgeable. I appreciated that he didn't tell us there was some big problem with the system, or that it needed to be replaced entirely (had this experience when another firm showed up to do an annual 'maintenance' a couple of years ago). We would easily recommend this company to anyone looking for a friendly, honest, competent firm. Bonnie was friendly and helpful, and Jim was a credit to their company. As a result of our experience, we've asked Bonnie for a recommendation for a Plumber.

Could not have gone better! Well, I guess they could have done it for free. Knowledgeable, friendly, timely, courteous, reasonalbe. You getting the picture? I'm a customer for life!

He was very logical and creative, and explained things quite well, and returned with parts the next working day and made the repair. He saved us a lot of money and we will definitely call him for other HVAC issues we have.

I called three heating and air conditioning companies when our heater stopped working. With the temperature projected to go to 17 degrees that night, I was concerned with getting this issue resolved quickly. Ed Harvey was the first of the three to call me. He was at my door within 3 hours of my initial call. He diagnosed the problem, worked on trying to fix the motor, then informed me he needed to order a new motor. The next day, Ed was at my house at 9:00 AM with new motor in handAfter the new motor was installed, the heater was much louder. Ed came back out to the house promptly and made some adjustments that improved the noise level. He made it clear if i was not happy - to call him and he would replace the new motor.A couple of weeks went by and the noise level gradually increased. One call to Ed and he was back out within the day - re-evaluated - and put an order in for another new motor. The next day, he was back, replaced the motor - and replaced the vent pipe (at no additional charge). Ed was a pleasure to work with - prompt, reponsive, professional and fare. I would use him again without a doubt

E.A. Harvey diagnosed the condition of the heating and air conditioning unit. The resulting decision was that the removal of the system's operating parts was unnecessary. Instead, it was cleaned and deemed operational. Additionally, the unit's humidifer filter was cleaned and replaced. The company's irepresentative was very professional, explaining related details of the unit, kindly showing me that the unit was already operating. (It never occured to me that the unit had never ceased to operate after Hurricane Irene flooding.) . .E.A. The Service Rep arrived promptly the same day of my call. He immediately assessed the situation and had my A/C up and running within a short period of time. The air flow was significantly improved on the top level of house. He provided additional advice and I appreciated the sound guidance. Timely, efficient, and affordable!

Since it was our first day in Newark, I had no idea which company to call when we discovered that our air conditioner was not working. So I decided to use 'Angie's List' and found E. A. Harvey, Inc. I made the perfect choice! Even though I was a new customer, they came within an hour and a half after I called their office! They went to working immediately checking the compressor, and quickly determined the high pressure switch needed to be reset. After resetting, they looked at the whole system and even checked out the furnace! Mr. Harvey and his assistant were friendly, and clearly explained everything they were doing. I think the price was reasonable, but more importantly, I felt he was honest! We will be using them for our heating and air conditioning annual checks and all other services.

The staff at EA Harvey are always polite and friendly. They will schedule a visit within 24hours for a non-emergency and same day for an emergency. We have used their services for our heating and AC work since 2005. They have installed the heating/AC system in the in-law suite of our home. On this visit, our AC was not cooling the house during those 100 degree days. The fan was running continuously. They checked the system and replaced the Freon. Our house has been cool ever since. We woudl strongly recommend them to do work for you.
