Description of Work: After calling Mike Gallagher, he asked me a few questions on the phone regarding our issue and then said he could come out that day to take a look. We needed to have the P trap in the bathroom sink replaced, and also needed to have the stub out in the wall fixed. Mike arrived that afternoon and went straight to work, fixing the trap and stub out quickly and efficiently, despite a minor issue with the repair. He was courteous, his price was more than fair, and he did a great job. He also cleaned up the mess I had made in the bathroom while I was trying to fix the sink myself! Couldn't be happier with the experience.

Description of Work: Our well pressure tank was leaking and the plumber was very responsive and helpful. He came out as early as he could the next day right after his appointment with another client. He replaced the tank right away and we haven't had a problem since!!

Description of Work: We had a bathroom remodel and the plumbing work had to be done in stages. Mike was able to schedule us in a very timely manner, even when we called at the last minute. His prices were very fair and he was very easy to work with. We liked his work so much we had him install a new toilet in the other bathroom just a short time ago.

Description of Work: They fixed a mysteriously leaking toilet - it turned out that the tank had not been bolted on well enough, resulting in a slow leak. Also, replaced flaps on a couple of toilets (I had not requested that they do this in advance, but remembered that it needed being done once they were here). | |Made an appointment within a day or two, turned up when they said that they would, diagnosed the problem quickly, fixed it quickly. Very courteous and friendly. | |Yes, I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Replacement of tub and shower controls from three to one handle. Quite involved and less than half the price of 2 other contractors, better solution, and done in about 2 hours. | |Mike is fantastic, not cheap but always reasonable. However his major advantage is that he comes up with better solutions (that are often cheaper in the long run) than his competitors when the problem is complex, and his work is always more effective and high quality whether simple or complicated. I used him for everything when I lived in Glenside and am sincerely bummed that he doesn't come out to the Main Line.

Description of Work: Mike and his team replaced the old knobs that was also leaking behind our tub wall. At first we weren't sure how it would look, but considering that it was our only option it came out great. He also replaced the faucets in our kitchen and it has made a great difference. We can now wash things w/ the higher faucet!!!! | |They cleaned up after themselves and were a pleasure to deal with. Now if only they provided 24/7 service but that's ok. I hope we would never have to call a plumber overnight!

Description of Work: Have not yet done the project that I called Gallagher's Plumbing on. Will do after the holidays and definitely will have them do the work. Very responsive to my call and the quote I received seemed to be more than fair.

Description of Work: We had a bad leak in a pipe that was buried in a cement floor....for the 2nd time. Needless to say, we would never use the 1st plumber who started to fix it by digging a 4 foot deep hole around the toilet in the powder room (without any real proof of where the leak was). Big surprise, it was not there. We then had to have a company come out with special equipment to pinpoint a leak in concrete (very expensive, but worth it). It couldn't have been farther from the toilet... we ended up with 2 very large holes in the cement in order to finally have the pipe fixed. Cost of fixing the 2 holes, new floor, drywall and paint....thousands of dollars. |When we realized we had another leak, we were prepared for the worst. We called Gallagher's, who we've used for some other small problems and found them quite good and honest. They came in, same day, assessed the problem, and decided to reroute the plumbing away from the cement, through the ceiling and down to the basement (no digging up the cement). He gave us a quote in the beginning, assuming it was an all day job. Ended up taking a lot less time, and $500 less than the quoted price. |I would recommend them very highly to anyone who is looking for a good honest plumber (and we've been through some doozies). So nice to know there is at least one plumber who cares about his customers and not just the money.
