It's hard to remember all the details from that long ago but we've had to take him to court over water leaking around the tub which I had to have another contractor come in and fix because he got tired of trying to find where it was leaking from and we had to have all the wallboard and tile around the tub replaced because of this, but the main reason for me being here today is when he installed the ceiling exhaust fan he never vented it outside he just left the hose up in the space of the dropped ceiling and said that was enough room for it to be ok I don't know made me start checking online now to see if it is ok to leave the vent indoors like that but I did and it's not so now I'm probably going to have to rip out the whole ceiling vent it properly get rid of any mold which is almost surely there and I have no idea if I have any recourse against him which is why I'm writing this so hopefully someone else won't have this happen to them.

Responded quickly at first, and showed up exactly when promised. However, did a quick hit-and-run job on the lowest most accessible gutters. Did not even attempt to clean the upper gutters. Left them completely clogged. When we called & left a phone message to complain, he returned call around 11 PM (unprofessional!), then never responded again.
This is completely unacceptable.

I had requested that both my house and detached garage gutters be cleaned. I would not be home when the service was scheduled, so Mr. Woolheater asked me to leave a check taped to the door, which I did. When I came home, the house gutters had been cleaned, but not the garage gutters. I called and left a message asking that the garage gutters be cleaned. I got no response!

Needed drywall patched that was approximately 10 feet long and 2 feet high which had been removed to test to see if mold was behind the wall. Mr. Woolheater called me promptly, came out to my home the same day and completed the job. He stopped by each day to do another step (i.e. patch and let dry, etc.) ended in 4 days, cleaned up the floor around the patch job and left. We liked his enthusiasm and the fact that when he told us he would be there he was. Don't listen to any bad reports on Angie's list. I must admit I was skeptical when he phoned me but I was totally satisfied with his work.

I contacted Mr. Woolheater and asked him for an estimate on cleaning my gutters. He returned my call the same day and called again the following day with the estimate. He was scheduled to come on Saturday April 23 to do the work but it rained all day and he called me in the afternoon and said he and his men were soaked and they would be there first thing Sunday. They arrived about 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning, cleaned all the gutters, collected the debris from the gutters in a plastic bag, I paid them and they left. I have had Mr. Woolheater and his men clean my gutters on previous occasions and they have always done a good job at a reasonable price. I know they have gotten bad reviews on Angie's list but truthfully that has never been my experience. I would definitely use them again.

A waste of $525 and still have to find someone to finish the job!
Midge was referred to us by a family member who get's their gutters regularly cleaned by his company.
We called him during the winter months (2011) and he was able to come out on a Saturday to take a look. We told him what we were experiencing and rather than spending the large amount of money on seamless gutters he suggested we take a repair approach. We agreed and were happy with the price.
Initial Work:
He came not long after and did most of the work (new clips and downspout), but because the gutters were frozen he was unable to adjust it and resolve the pitch problem. He told us to call once the weather was above freezing and he'd be able to finish the job for $50. I was not happy about the extra charge, but to fix our problems for $50 extra dollars seemed worth it.
4 months of tracking him down to complete the job:
Spring came quickly and so did all the terrible rains here in Pgh. After 4 phone calls, and more water damage to our home, he finally returned our call on July 29th. He apologized and said he was out of town for 4 months in Florida. I asked why his voicemail didn't let us know that...he had no answer. I asked how he was able to clean our grandmothers gutters a month prior and he said that was one of his employees and he does not handle the business side of things. After getting passed the excuses I told him I wanted him to finish the job, but of course he could not remember what the job was. I explained to him what he had done last time he was there and also asked that he inspect the back gutter and tell us what was wrong with the while he was here. Midge told me I should quit 'tinkering' with the gutters and just replace them. I explained that I am not doing anything more than taking his advise. He said he'd be in the area on July 30 and would stop by.
2nd visit:
Saturday came and so did a van with a lot of ladders...but no Midge. Midge sent his brother-in-law who had no clue what he was supposed to do at our house. We got Midge on the phone and Midge said....'I thought you needed them cleaned'. After another frustrating conversation with Midge about what he was supposed to do his brother-in-law was unable to do the work to properly pitch the gutters, but he did charge us $50 for removing the leaves and patching the seal on the back gutter. We eplained we were expecting to pay $50 to complete the job they started not do something we didn't ask for. I asked what it costs to do what he did and he settled at $40. I wrote a check so that this situation would be over and I would no longer have to deal with Midge Woolheater. This was an absolutely terrible experience and I would never recomend Midge and his services.
Now all these months later we're still getting water in our house and now we have to find someone else to come do the job right.

Found out about the company from a flyer left on my door and the price sounded great. Called and had "service" performed while I was at work. I got home and saw the invoice on my door and grabbed the ladder to check the work. They didn't do ANYTHING. This "company" is a borderline scam.

THEY BEGAN THE WORK ON THE ASSIGNED DAY AND WERE PROMPT. THEY SAID THEY RAN OUT OF SCREENING FOR THE TOP FLOOR GUTTERS AND WOULD COME BACK. WE PAID THEM THE FULL PRICE FOR THE JOB, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS NOT FINISHED. BIG MISTAKE. THEY NEVER CAME BACK. WOOLHEATER WOULD NOT ANSWER HIS PHONE AND REFUSED A RETURN-RECEIPT LETTER.
