John did a great job for us. He called prior to coming to the house and when they got here they did very thorough job of un-clogging our gutters. John was very informative about some repairs that needed to be fixed. His pricing was fair and reasonable. We will definitely use Suburban Gutter in the future.

John Skinkis showed up as promised, got up on his ladder, and got right to the job. He cleaned out a clogged gutter I'd had problems with, checked all the gutter hardware (and replaced a bad clamp on one of them). He also showed me the new plastic-coated leaf guard mesh that he offered to install to replace the existing galvanized mesh, which is rusting in many places. He was done within an hour as promised. $115/hr + $3 for the replacement clamp. He returned later in the week to replace the leaf guards on the gutters with new Teflon-coated leaf-guard mesh. He did so, charged me to the quarter-hour. $300. He was prompt, neat, efficient, and very pleasant to deal with.

Excellent service. Thoroughly cleaned gutters and repaired problems. Performed work as if working on his own home. If only all contractors had his professional attitude.

After reading reviews on Angie's List, I called John one mid-afternoon to set up a gutter cleaning, he said he was just finishing a job and could come by within the hour to inspect and clean the gutters. I was not home while he did the work, but he called me later that evening to talk about a few much needed repairs. We set up a time for him to come over 2 days later to explain the potential repairs. He arrived on time and we spent 15 minutes walking around the house as we discussed the work he recommended He clearly explained the repairs and estimate time and cost to do the work. Our gutters had not been cleaned or serviced in over 5 years and all repairs were definitely needed. I will and have recommended his services to friends and plan to use Suburban Gutter for any future gutter cleanings or needs.

John told me that he'd be able to come do the job within a week after I called him, and he called the day before he planned to come to let me know. He kept in touch the next day about when he'd be likely to arrive, even though I didn't need to be there for the work. He arrived just when he said he would, and was very professional and pleasant. He explained what he'd be doing and immediately went to work, carefully but efficiently, cleaning the gutters, the downspouts, and checking everything by running his own hose through the downspouts to see that water flowed correctly, even through the underground outlets. He also cleaned debris from the areas it collects, even behind the chimney cricket (nowhere near a gutter!). He cleaned up all the pine needles that he'd dislodged, leaving the area neater than he found it, and gave me a complete and interesting report, including what was good about my system, what was not ideal but still functional (some of my old copper gutters are not pitched exctly right, but John explained that moving them was not worthwhile, since they were still working OK), and what could cost-effectively be fixed in the spring (some damaged hangers and holes in two outlets). He was very careful with his ladder; there was no damage to plantings or to the edge of the roof, as we've had with other gutter services, and we paid a very reasonable, predictable hourly rate, which didn't include the time for consultation. All in all, it was the best experience I've had with a gutter service (and I've had a lot of them); John is friendly, knowledgeable, and sensible, and really seems interested in the peculiarities of each gutter system.

John provided an estimate over the phone and after comparing with a couple of other companies he was reasonable and actually did the work as opposed to speaking with an answering service at some other companies. We scheduled time a week later and John arrived on time. This was the first time we were having the gutters cleaned since moving into our house. He kept me in informed of everything he was finding as he worked his way around our house. Found out we had gutter guards, discovered the source of our gutters overflowing (bird nest) and the source of moss forming on our walls (leaking downspout). He made some good suggestions to better direct the water in one area of our home. Since we did have gutter guards the work did take longer and was more expensive than I anticipated but overall he did a great job and really explained what and why he was doing certain things. We have had a few heavy rainfalls since and have had no issues. I expect to use him again next year for our yearly cleaning.

I called Suburban Gutter on Wednesday and John answered immediately and scheduled an estimate for Friday. He was very pleasant and said that if I approved his quotation that he would do the work on Friday after we discussed pricing. John showed up on time and walked around the house with us assessing the gutters and downspouts. His price was a little higher than we've paid with other contractors, but the quality of his work far exceeds anyone else we have ever used. John was there for 2.5 Hours and thorughly cleaned all gutters, downspouts, dormer valleys (we have those Maple Tree propeller things that get stuck everywhere). After cleaning everything, he re-pitched several gutters, and repaired several gutter brackets. The best part of all is that when done he cleaned all of our sidewarlks and patio's which made it look better than before he got there. John kept us informed of exactly what he was doing along the way and offered options for better gutter performance in the future. He is very professional and we will definately have him back again. What I can tell you is that John actually used his hands to clean the gutters. Many other people simply climb on a latter and use a leaf blower to blow out the gutters. This is a waste of money. Suburban does it the right way.

I called three companies for estimates to clean our gutters. John Skinkis of Suburban Gutters was the only company that picked up the phone. He quoted me immediately at $115/hour prorated every 15 minutes. He was able to come out within three days. I wanted to know what type of ladders he used because, in the past, a company came out and leaned ladders right against the gutters which can scratch and dent them. John said his ladders never touched the gutters and they had arms that leaned against the house. He said that all he did was clean gutters, he had been doing it for a long time and that he loved it. It was enough for me to hire him before getting calls back from the other two companies. The day of service John called to tell me he was running behind schedule and that he would be an hour and a half late. So instead of 3pm he would be at my house around 4:30. Well 4:30 came and went with no phone call and no site of John. There was a knock on my door at 5:30pm and there he stood looking like he had been cleaning gutters all day. I told him I expected him an hour ago and he asked what time it was. I said it's 5:30 and he asked if it was still a good time to clean the gutters. I have learned that once you have a contractor on site that you don't let them go, so I told him to go ahead despite the tardiness. John asked me what areas were the biggest problem before he got to work. After getting started he stopped a few times to point out some things that were creating problems with water flow. For example, we had a bird feeder with a ceramic bottom hanging from the the brace of one gutter which had caused the slope to flatten out. He riveted some of the poles that were never even attached by the installation company. Once finished he cleaned up everything, put the hose away, told me all his work was guaranteed and to call with any problems. Tonight for the first time in a long time we actually heard water flowing from the downspout as it rained outside. After years of searching we have finally found the best person to keep our gutters in top shape. I highly recommend John and his company to anybody looking to flush their pipes!
