SANTA'S HEATING & AC

I have an contract with them. I get a contract every year for maintenance and stuff. I am not really useful. My parents actually lived in this house, and I inherited it. They had this particular service, and I continue to use it. I am not really helpful. They were very good. They did a nice job. Prior to that, what happened is the air conditioner last summer, we were having trouble. The air conditioner wasn't cooling the house. They had someone to come out, and they weren't the regular person, and he put in some kind of fan. It wasn't working well, and I called them. They said, it was this and that. I called again, and they sent the regular guy out. He said the person put the wrong fan size. Thy actually replaced the fan and did the whole thing without charging me for the inconvenience after what happened. They went above and beyond. I will say they really compensated for the inconvenience, and did a nice job. I am very pleased with them. We had to get a new heater from them. The take the extra step, and stand behind their work. They could have just said sorry, but they stood behind their service. The compensated me for any inconvenience. It was under the contract, and I was pleased with every part of it. When there is an issue they are like clock work. The guy will be here within this time, and he was five minutes late. He said, sorry. I told him don't be sorry. That was very quick. With the air conditioning issue before like I said, they took care of that issue as soon as possible.

The crew that did the replacement where totally professionals. They were very caring about my furniture and carpeting. They covered my carpet and steps with plastic to protect because they were in and out and up and down the steps. When they wanted to move any of my furniture they always asked first. They were very polite and curtious. I am going to use Santa's HVAC to handle annual service on the new system. As far as cost, the job was exactly what the estimate was...no hidden charges. I've had Santa's for 2 years, but no more. First of all when they checked the system in May they had to add 3.5 lbs of refrigerant to the system. The first guy said he would add a product that would hopefully seal the leak we had in the coils. They had to come back a few months later to add more coolant , which means the sealing product didn't work. Then they said they might have to do a leak test. So, after putting coolant in twice it was obvious we needed a new coil unit. The last guy that came out said he would notify the owner about our problem, but not worry that they could keep coming back to add the 410A product to keep us cool. Yes, that statement was true , but it was also going to cost me well over $100 every time they came out, and the coolant at this point was only lasting 2 days with the high heat and humidity we had. The owner of Santas did send me an email quoting me a price. However he didn't have the part and it was going to be a week before they could get the part and install it. Since I didn't want to wait and keep paying them to add the 410 every other day I found a company that had the part in stock and installed it the next day. Their price was less than Santa's, but the part that bothered me was the money I would be wasting in having Santa's constantly coming to our home to add coolant. Santas sent me a bill for for the visits and coolant which I paid on Sept. 7th. When I sent them a check I also included a letter explaining that since this other company installed the new condenser I would be using them in the future to service the unit. I had already paid Santa's for a yearly service contract and I requested a refund for 1/2 since I would no longer be using them for the Fall check-up. I have yet to hear back from therm after the letter and a phone call. I don't think it's right they keep the money for the second half of the service contract, but from their lack of response I guess they intend to keep it. I would never use this company again or recommend these people.

It went great, Joe's guys were on time, very professional, they cleaned up after themselves. We were quoted a couple of options and have been pleased with our choice. The new system has saved us on our energy bill each month. In life, you get what you pay for, and replacement of a heating system is a major purchase that you really can't cut corners.

All went well. Joe did the estimate and then transitioned the plan/design to his foreman who came out with a team when we were ready. They took care to minimize impact on ceiling heights, etc, giving us the look and space we were going for. They did the original system for our builder so had original drawings and all which was probably helpful. Very easy to work with.

Joe came out the day of installation to start the setup. The crew was very professional and put down tarps to protect my floors. All functions of the system were thoroughly explained to me. The work was scheduled and performed in a very timely manner. I have been using Santa's for 26 years since they installed the system when the house was first built. They have always been very responsive to my needs. I highly recommend Santa's to anyone needing heating or A/C work!

We have a yearly contract with them. We trust them. They know what they are talking about. I do research before I want something done. They are responsive. They know the system in the house because they installed it.

I've had a maintenance contract for heating and a/c for over 12 years, in two houses. They are flexible and professional in scheduling, arrive on time or early, and do a good job.
