Zeke & Son Roofing & Siding Specialists

When looking for roof repair I did the top 3 roofers on Angie's List. I got a big range of prices for the same work. The highest was 12K with Zeke being the lowest at 8,700. I added extra features like the 30# felt and other things which increased the cost a little but even with those increases he was still 3K or more lower than the others. On the day of the install, Zeke brought his team of 6 guys. They started at 7:20am. They were done with roof and gutters by 3:30pm. The team was very good and professional. The yard was left the same way it was when they got there. They had tarps down which caught most of the debris, but then also ran a magnetic roller over the lawn to pick up any metal pieces. I was very happy with the work that was done by this team of workers. I have already recommended Zeke to a few people already and they just did my roof yesterday.

Even though I had a cheaper offer, I hired Zeke because he helped me out when I had a leak in my roof last fall and I trusted his workmanship. Zeke was always very responsive to answer my questions and he fit me in the schedule just where I asked. He helped me pick out a great looking shingle color and his crew is very hard working and great at what they do.

my only compliant was that the subs spoke very broken English and were a bit hard to communicate with...however, they were very polite and did an excellent job in cleaning up after the job

I learned of Zeke and Sons from a neighbor who also had his roof replaced by Zeke and Sons last spring. He was very pleased with the work, so I reached out for a price quote. Zeke responded quickly to my inquiry and within a few days I had a formal quote. We met with Zeke at their offices in Coraopolis, to review the job and look at options for shingles. Zeke was friendly and professional throughout the process and made us comfortable that this was the right company for our work. Since it was winter when I reached out, we agreed to the quote and scheduled the roof to be installed in April. No money was due until the work started, which speaks volumes to their confidence is what they do. During the first week of April, Zeke and Sons reached out regarding scheduling the work. Since I travel quite a bit, Zeke worked with us to schedule a date for the roof replacement for Monday, April 17th. They confirmed the work date the week prior, so we knew that the job was on track. The Zeke and Sons team (7 people in total) showed up promptly at 7am to begin the work. The first step was laying out tarps to catch any debris that fell during the work. They were meticulous in the preparation, which paid off when the roof was complete as their cleanup was more efficient. The crew worked straight through, with a short lunch break, and completed the roof on my house and garage by 5:30pm the same day. They then spent the next hour cleaning and packing up. I have had roofing work done before, and this was by far the best project I have seen. The roof looks spectacular, they took care of some minor additional work that was needed, and the cleanup was excellent. I have not found any roofing nails or debris around my house or garage. The prep work caught most of it, but the crew used a magnet and thorough walk around to ensure that every piece of debris was removed. I would highly recommend that you consider Zeke and Sons for any roofing work, or other projects that you may have. They are professional people, do high quality work, and the price is reasonable.

The crew showed up early saturday, and were done the same day ! They did an excellent job cleaning up the place after they were done. Zeke is also great to deal with. Highly recommend them for any siding or roofing.

The workers did not speak a word of english, nails were everywhere (including all over the drive way), and the workers moved the back porch furniture scratching the porch in multiple places.

Zeke was amazing in that the came in and replaced my roof and I would not have known it without looking up. Everything was clean. The roof looks great. Zeke was great to work with. Pricing was very competitive.

It went GREAT !!!! His team leader Oscar is top notch ! The whole team was very courteous and focused on getting the job done right ! I felt like a small army descended on our house ! 5 MEN CAME ON TIME AT 7 A.M. WORKED EFFICIENTLY AND PROFESSIONALLY LAID A WONDERFUL ROOF WITH ALL DETAILS EXPERTLY DONE, WERE FINISHED BY 4 PM, AND CLEANED UP PERFECTLY. NOT ONE OLD NAIL IN THE YARD. I HAVE USED ZEKE FOR MANY THINGS AROUND MY HOME. HE ALWAYS DOES A GREAT JOB.

The company completed the roof replacement of my steep pitched Cape Cod home, large porch, and detached 2 car garage with the utmost efficiency and professionalism. The quality of the shingles is superior. The yard and driveway area was left clean of all debris at the conclusion of the project. Zeke was a pleasure to work with.

Zeke was incredibly responsive. I called and he performed a shingle repair the very next day.

Workers arrived at 7:15 a.m. Went straight to work ripping old roofing materials off after first covering shrubs and deck with tarps. Old roofing was thrown directly into a portable trash hauler. Any damaged wood was replaced. Winter ice guard shield and Figerglas Shingle Dog Synthetic Underlayment was installed. 40 year limited lifetime warranted IKO Cambridge Dimensional Fiberglas Shingles were installed along with new boot pipe flashing, new Alcoa Aluminum Flashing in valleys and around chimney, and low profile nail over ridge vent. The shingles have a wind resistance of 130 mph. All gutters were cleaned and re-nailed. Excellent clean-up of debris which they hauled away.. Complete job was finished around 1:30 pm. Workers did an excellent job. Not one nail was found on the ground. We highly recommend ZEKE & Sons for any job big or small and would definitely use their services again. We have never had a more reliable, efficient contractor as Zeke & Sons.

The crew was excellent. They did quality work, and were very professional, doing the main roof in one day. The clean-up was thorough, with no nails, or small pieces of shingle on the ground and they used a leaf blower to remove all grit particles. The crew chief was by several times to check on the job and the owner (Zeke) got on the roof and inspected it when they were in the final stages. If you need surgery, the best results will come from an experienced surgeon. The more procedures a surgeon has performed, the better the outcome. That is how I felt about the guys that did my roof. It was obvious that they had a lot of experience and had done a lot of roofs. They were craftsmen and not recent hires.

He has a great personality and a great salesman. He makes you feel he is very concerned. If there are issue, he does not do anything to fix the problem. He insisted I purchase new skylights because he would not guarantee the reinstalled of the old skylights. I had leaks and he came out 3 times. We had to have the skylight manufacturer come out and he said "whoever installed these threw away the instructions, I have never seen skylights so poorly installed." I had to pay out of my own pocket to get the skylight company to fix the problem. On a different part of the house, they installed flashing incorrectly. I had to have the siding and shingles taken off, so they could replace the flashing. This was also taken out of my pocket. The nails used for the shingles, were a variety of roofing nails and NON roofing nails-roofing nails and larger nails that are sticking out from the roof and in the attic.

They arrived at 8am with a good sized crew. They were very professional.The installation was high quality and aesthetically pleasing. They cleaned up all of the existing debris. Due to the demand for services it was difficult to schedule the work. In all fairness due to the weather jobs were backed up. We obtained an estimate on when we would be able to have roof completed which was sometime in August. While we were away, Zeke called and told us he would be available within the next two days to complete the roof. Since our daughters were home we told him to go ahead and complete job. When we arrived home we were pleased to find the roof job completed and everything cleaned up. When I spoke with my daughter she informed us the crew arrived in early morning and had the job completed to include cleanup by 7PM the same day. Very impressive. Upon inspection, the roof looks great. I would not hesitate to recommend Zeke and Son for roofing work.

30I contacted Zeke and Son as they had replaced the roof on my neighbor's house and I was impressed with the work and results. I had gotten a quote the previous year after shopping around but wasn't able to contract with Zeke & Son but wasn't ready for my roof to be replaced. I was impressed by his use of technology. I gave him my address, he did the necessary research and thenk gave me a quote. I liked this type of service as I work far from home and am very busy and generally do not have time for an in-home consultation. Zeke contacted me one year later, which impressed me as most contractors don't follow up. We were ready for a new roof, so I agreed to a new contract which was reasonably more than the previous year's quote. His work crew were well organized and staffed. I watched the foreman for about 10-15 minutes and saw that he managed his crew well, and directed them only as needed. The work was done on time and the crew cleaned up well after themselves.

Zeke brought Oscar and his crew to perform the following work on our home in Moon Township (Westbury Drive): new roof using IKO Cambridge shingles (Charcoal Grey color), 2 new Sun-Tek skylights, gutters and downspouts, and shutters on our windows. I met with Zeke in advance of the work to be done and he walked me through the process, gave me options, and presented swatches and colors to choose from for the roof, gutters, and shutters. He's an honest guy and has the homeowners best interests in mind, and he won't try to sell you on something you don't really need. Zeke and Stacey were very patient with the many questions and follow ups I had throughout the process, and I appreciated the ease it was to get a hold of them and the quickness in which they returned my calls. The work was performed within the original estimated time window. Oscar and his crew arrived early in the morning, and promptly as expected. They were professional, friendly, and worked diligently to finish the work in the time frame communicated. Oscar is very detail oriented and ensures everything is done perfectly and without flaw, which I appreciated. Any questions I had during the work, he was willing and ready to answer, and quickly addressed any concerns I had. The cost of the project was by far the best quote I received out of the 4 other bids I received, and most others were all Angie's list providers as well. I would highly recommend Zeke & Son and know that you will get a fair and honest price, and quality of work that will surpass anyone around.

I give Zeke and Son an overall B+ rating. They had excellent service and punctuality. Zeke did what he said he would do. The workmanship was excellent and they made sure they cleaned up after themselves. The quote was detailed so there were no surprises. It was a very good experience and they installed the IKO Cambridge National Blue which looks great and sets my roof apart from the others.
