He promised that there were all these new things coming in including doors, skylights, cabinets, hardwood floors, etc. Well the front door was taken by the woman who lived in the home before. He told the woman that she was allowed to take the door, but then told us that she just took it. So we then found out that he lied about this, which breaks contract. We then ended up getting a $300 door that is a piece of junk. There are also issues with the ceiling in the garage where he needs to finish patching the drywall and painting it. Now on to the basement, the walls coming up the steps have scratches which need to be sanded and painted, which was done so poorly in that none of the scratches were sanded out and the paint is so bad that there are drip marks. There was a piece of paper that was painted over on the cellar door as well, which you can clearly see as well as it has drip marks. We also found out that he never caulked and finished the bathroom upstairs. We did get that fixed but that was because we had to tell them to fix it. There is also a leak in the ceiling in the living room, which needs to be fixed properly. We paid this man for cabinets and of the 18 cabinet doors, only 8 of them close correctly. There are some of the doors that either slam closed or they are about to fall off. They also did not measure correctly and some of the cabinets are not installed correctly. You can see that none of this is done correctly as you can see that the walls were not painted as I have two different color walls. They covered the wall with a piece of wood to make it a cabinet with an= closed end so that it covered up the two different colors on the wall. Now on to the kitchen floor, it is also horrible as we can measure the gaps between the wood pieces in about 75% of the floor. There are several things I need to be fixed including the door that I paid for/was promised (which we withheld $1500 and he only allowed us $300), correct cabinets, making the repairs in the bathrooms, garage ceiling repair as well as fixing the leak in the ceiling in the living room. Another thing that they did not do properly were the outlets. They are all upside down and they would not install 3 prong outlets. I also want to see the agreement that I signed because I know all of the work is included in the contract. Every single thing that was done was done because we had to force him to do it even though we had contracted him for this work. I do want to mention is spite of all problems listed above, Vald did a wonderful job on the workmanship of our wood work. Also one other worker named John, has been returning to try to fix the problems from above. He is very friendly and is willing to resolve the work. He has excellent tile skills and is very willing to try to help, even though we still have problems.
Description of Work: We bought a house from him that needed a lot of work done as Evans told us he flips houses.
