Parklane Mattresses

The service went well. They delivered the mattress as scheduled and we like the mattress. The sales person was competent and the delivery person did a nice job.

Over two weeks ago I ordered a mattress on-line from Parklane. A few hours later, I called Parklane's 1-800 Customer Service number because I needed to just order the mattress, not the box spring as well. Nobody answered. Instead, I got a recording telling me to call back between the office hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00, even though it was 9:30 at the time. So I contacted their Customer Service on-line, and nobody responded there, either! The Web site offered an on-line chat option, and nobody responded to my inquiries. Even though it was after 9:30 at that time. However, I left my computer on in case anybody should eventually respond, which finally happened about 20-30 minutes later. The woman I spoke to apoligized for the lack of response and explained that a lot of people were out sick that day. I explained that I needed to make an alteration to my order, and I gave her the order number. She informed me that she wasn't sure she could alter the order because it was already on its way to the warehouse. She said she would contact me after the foreman called her back, to let me know either way. I never heard from her, either by phone or e-mail. Two weeks later, I went into a Parklane store and asked the salesperson if he could check on my order. He tried but said the on-line system was not linked in to the store system, so he was unable to help me. Today, more than two weeks after I first placed my order, I called the Parklane 1-800 Customer Service number at 10:00 a.m., which should have been an hour after the office opened. The first thing I got was an automated recording saying that I should call back between office hours. Good thing I didn't hang up, because then I got another recording listing various extensions, including that of customer service. I spoke to a customer service representative and gave him my order number and asked the status of my order. He said he was glad I called, because they were unable to contact me. The reason was that the original customer service person had made a typo on my phone number. She had typed in a hyphen instead of one of the numbers. My e-mail address was right there on the order, and they should have contacted me that way. Now I have to wait two more days for a mattress that should have been delivered quite a while ago. I am very unhappy with Parklane's telephone customer service.

The first month or so I feared I had made a mistake when I'd wake up with stiffness in my lower back. However, we were coming from an old soft mattress and the one we purchased was more firm. Gladly, I can say that now I sleep fine and am 100% happy with the purchase.

We have had mixed success over the years buying a mattress set. When we visited the Parklane show room in Happy Valley, OR, Vincent greeted us and listened to what we had in mind. He showed various models, had us try the beds for comfort and then recommended the set we purchased. We could not be happier - the bed set is probably the best we have ever slept on - excellent quality. The delivery personnel were on time and courteous. Parklane is a class act.

First of all, I did most of my shopping on the Parklane web site, which is excellent and offers most of the basic information a customer needs. I visited showrooms several times before I made my purchase (of course, names/specs of mattresses were changed in the interim, which meant I had to make some mental adjustments); reps were helpful, and did not get pushy at all. Selection is somewhat limited, but pretty much covers most needs and makes decision-making lots easier. Parklane's return policies are great, too, although I didn't need to use them. The mattress (Cornell) was great from day one. I do advise turning the mattress according to Parkland's recommendations.

It could not have gone any better! Delivery men new what they were doing, were courteous and thorough! We had heard bad things about the chain mattress stores, and young, inexperienced, high pressure sales persons. I strongly suggest those looking for a mattress in the Portland Metro Area, use Parklane!

The sales person was the most knowledgeable on what to look for to match our needs. The mattress quality was very good, the price was reasonable, and we liked using a local manufacturer. After over six months, I'm very satisfied. By the way, we had recently purchased mattresses for my wife and myself from a different supplier. Hers is fine, but mine gave me major back pains that are now gone with the Parklane purchase.

We purchased a memory foam mattress with a foundation at a great price, priced well below Tempurpedic bare bones model. It was built to order and came in one week. The delivery guys brought two trucks, one to haul away the old set and one with the new ones. they placed the mattress on our bed, straightened everything up, were very courteous. Great experience. Good product. Great price.

They have a factory where they make their own mattress. We enjoyed their service and the quality of the mattress. They are very upfront and to the point, no games or gimmicks. Once the mattress is ready, which took about ten days; I just went and picked it up. Their will call is a little slow, but other that no other improvements.

I chose them because I was looking for chemical free bedding and they provide that quality. Everything was fine. However, we did have to pick up the topper ourselves. That was a negative because it was not a convenient location and we had to drive further than expected.

They were very kind and great! We received a postcard from them several weeks after we purchased to ensure everything was good. They were very attentive to our needs.

We did a lot of online research prior to visiting the store so we were familiar with the pricing on much of the name brand mattress stores. The prices of the Parklane products are very competitive. The staff was extremely helpful at recommending different models based on how we described our sleeping habits. There was never any pressure to buy and the people who work in the showrooms do not get paid on commission. We visited the store 3-4 times before making a final decision. Once we made the decision, the delivery was scheduled for a few days later, and it happened on time within the 2 hour window that was promised. The company makes excellent products that have good value, and they back them with excellent warranties. The employees seem to have great customer service skills and they take good care of you. If you enjoy haggling over prices, wheeling/dealing, or negotiating for hours on end, then Parklane is not the store for you. If you enjoy trouble-free shopping, fair prices, and a company that stands behind its product, look no further than Oregon's own Parklane Mattress.

I love my mattress. I would use them again, if need be.
