Artistic Auto Body - Tigard

I chose to visit this company per previous reviews. From the moment I walked into Artistic I was greeted warmly by several employees. It was a rather busy day and after waiting for about 10 minutes the estimator, Stacy Howard was amazing in taking time to explain exactly what they will do to get my SUV back to perfect condition. She was professional, knowledgeable and personable. In fact the interaction of the busy staff amongst each other was friendly and each was willing to jump in and help out the other. The positive interactions made it feel like the employees really enjoyed their job, each other and were committed to quality work. The estimate for the job was within $20. of another shop I had just visited but I was sold after my experience with the incredible staff. I was not disappointed as they delivered on every aspect of the job from checking me in, getting me set up with a rental car from Enterprise thru the completion of the job and quality work. I hope I never have to get body work done in the future ~but if I do I'll only consider going to Artistic due to this great experience and will not hesitate to enthusiastically recommend them to everyone!

If I ever have any further requirements for body shop work, I will be coming back here. It took 2 weeks for the work to be done, to which the owner apologized for. I didn't feel this was any longer than it should have been.

An appointment was scheduled to drop car for repairs after an accident. Upon arriving at the shop, we went to the desk to proceed with the transaction. The individuals at the desk did not seem to have information, or understand why were where there. After further discussion, we waited approx. 15 minutes for someone to come help us. This individual, an estimator, proceeded with clipboard in hand out to the car. As we discussed the accident/damage, it became very apparent that the estimator really was not listening to what was being said, as questions were asked about different areas on the car that had just been explained. The longer the discussion continued, the more hesitant we became about leaving the car with this shop. Upon walking back into the front office, we decided that if this shop could not get the simple stuff right, we would stop further loss now and walk away ... and that is exactly what occurred. Maybe there are some great repair people in this shop, maybe not ... we will never know because you only get one change to make a first impression. Our first impression of Artistic Auto Body was 'run away' ...

Our son, 16 at the time, let another driver back up the vehicle. He did so with the front drivers side door open and hit a tree. This bent the door and door frame such that we could no longer close the door. This made driving the vehicle risky so we had to get some auto body work. Artistic Auto Body was able to provide a preliminary quote based on photos I took with our Ipad. Heitzman Auto Body also provided a quote but Kadel's would not provide quote without seeing the vehicle. We didn't want to drive the vehicle around (not safe) to get quotes so we ruled Kadel's out. Artistic was willing to work with us on using Salvaged Door (our vehicle was 1998 pathfinder). I found same one as Artistic at Maz-Toy near Troutdale which actually delivered free of charge to Artistic. We spent $225 for that. It was 1 year newer with some scratches but very close color match. Artistic charged $468 to swap out the door and all the components plus to fix the frame which was slightly bent. They did an excellent job at breaking down all the cost of the repair. Doing a color paint match would have doubled the cost so we avoided that approach (done without using insurance). We rented a car from Hertz ($151 for 3 days which is same cost for 3 days or 1 week). Artistic has deal with Enterprise which is probably a better choice than our decision to use Hertz. My total cost for this repair (door, replacement and rental car) is noted below at $844. Artistic did an excellent job, was able to get to repairing the vehicle within a short (2-3 day) time frame and provided a great breakdown of costs. They were also competitive in cost. Next time I have an auto body issue I will return to this shop.

I went to pick up my car today and found that the "check right and left front light" electronic messages were displayed. Stacy jumped on the problem but it took 1 1/2 hours to fix. In the meantime, I was late picking up my 19-year-old daughter in downtown Portland--so Bob at Artistic actually went to pick her up and bring her home! (We have no bus service in the afternoon.) Now that is impeccable service that made up for any inconvenience. Everyone (from Julio, to El, to Stacy, to Cam and to Bob) is expertly trained in customer service and seem to be genuinely friendly people. Artistic lives up to the hype. I thought good service was dead until I met these folks. They do nice auto body work to boot.

Patience with all of the company's they tried in getting the correct bumper. Landed up trying 5 different bumpers before they got the right one.

Artistic did a great job! The repair looks beautiful and their attention to detail is above and beyond any other repair facility I have used. Reasonable prices, fast and a pleasure to work with! I've also used them before (several times over the past 25 years) and I have always received similar results. Certainly someone you can trust!

This is the second time we have used Artistic. It went perfectly. Very good people to deal with and the quality of the work is very good.

The staff is extremely professional and efficient. Their estimate was lower than the insurance company's payment, but they would deal with that issue when they were finished with all repairs. The difference in costs was whether the driver's door needed to be replaced. They removed and installed the front bumper, door and painted and refinished the exterior to match the existing paint color. The repairs took longer than quoted but it was well worth the delays. During the final inspection a flaw was found, so back to the shop for the car. Artistic Auto is a perfectionist.. They also kept us updated on the progress of the repairs. The car was returned to us in pristine condition. We were very impressed by their knowledge and expertise.

They were honest and responsive and they do an excellent job.

Micheal Flora was careful and thorough during his inspection. He explained that some of the repair work required might not be determined until after the door panels had been removed and interior damage/lack thereof evaluated. He answered all my questions. He was kind enough to prepare separate estimates for the 2 areas needing work (doors and bumper). We scheduled a drop off date and a projected pick up date. Micheal phoned me the afternoon I left the car to discuss the technician's findings and the work needed on the doors. He also let me know that the estimated cost had been adjusted...downward. I received additional messages keeping me up to date on the progress. The car was ready for pickup as promised. The work is beautiful! The car looks as good as new. The paint matches perfectly everywhere. The bumper fits tight to the rear frame with no more loose bumper guards. I am very pleased with my entire experience. No hassle, easy to work with, communicative. Body work looks perfect! Picked Artistic Auto Body based on Angie's List reviews and I couldn't be happier. (They also honored Angie's' coupon.) If need arises, I will return to Artistic without hesitation.

The work was exceptional. I would take my car back to them anytime. They even saved me money for a car detail since they cleaned the inside of the car in addition to the outside.12

I wanted to have some annoying paint scrapes/ scratches and a couple of minor dings/ dents taken care of on our Camry before we took on a long road trip to California and Arizona. When I entered the office, I was cheerfully greeted, and waited perhaps two minutes for an estimator to pop out, and he went right to the car. He looked at all of the noted problem areas, suggested that perhaps the problems weren't as severe as I was thinking, and went back in to retrieve some paint thinner and a rubbing cloth. Sure enough, most of the blemishes were paint scrapes from whatever and were removed cleanly. Then he (Ralph?) looked at the dent or separation of the body skirt above the tire, and it was split from its fastenings, but not badly damaged. He was thereby able to reseat it back into its proper setting, though a refastening is still needed. The bottom line was that, for most of the damaged areas that I found most annoying, Ralph (?) took care of in a few short minutes with minimum effort, and, for the most part, my anxiety for immediate repair was substantially relieved. There is still a fair amoutn of touch up in paint and ding removal that needs to be done at some point. Though I am no longer in a rush, I will have it done, and I know exactly where to go when I am ready. My apologies to the folks at Aristic Auto Body for not noting names, etc. but, as I mentioned before, I was a little preoccupied with various trip preparation issues to close out before we set off. In any case, the front office person or service coordinator was equally accommodating and cordial and I suspect both of these very professional employees reflect the general culture of qualty service and customer satisfaction that I will surely experience when I return.

From the minute I walked into the office until I departed with my repaired vehicle, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Stacy, my estimator, really understood my car and knew instantly what needed to be done. She quoted me an approximate price and told me it would probably take most of a day, but I got a call saying the car would be completed by 2:30! I was shocked to return and find my car thoroughly clean both inside and out----it looks like new! Everyone should know I had gone to another shop previously that was recommended by the Toyota dealership and was told I should get my insurance company involved, as I was looking at approximately $2,000 (shock to my system) for repairs! Thank goodness I checked Angie's List and found Artistic Auto Body in Tigard who completed the work for $378! They truly believe in customer satisfaction----I would recommend them to everyone I know.

My wife and I chose Artistic Auto Body because of its amazing reputation online. It turns out that reputation is well deserved! Their customer service was top-notch and they really went out of their way to keep us informed and happy. They even drove out to the house one time to pick up the car to make some final, last-minute adjustments.

I had backed into someone with my Jeep - damage didn't look so bad. Unfortunately, the bumper skin had to be replaced. That was over 50% of the cost, and we were forced to use OEM parts - there were no after market parts available - and this is where the gouging took place - not by Artistic. Rod and El were very good to me and my family. All of the repairs were explained up front, and even though the cost of bumper skin from Jeep was not palatable the labor and paint was, Rod went to some lengths to find alternatives to reduce cost for us. The work was done quickly, but was outstanding in quality. Artistic worked with us to arrange pickup that was convenient for us and they were very accommodating. Communication was excellent.

My "baby," 2012 Miata, got hit while parked at the curb on an icy morning. Neighbor left a note, their insurance company called me, and I began my research. Found this place, discussed it with the insurance adjuster and they handled it from there. Adjuster regarded Artistic highly, and works with them regularly. Seamless procedure! The people at Artistic were effiicient and straightforward. They know how to make their customers comfortable, and they put you at ease. Usually I ask my husband to handle these things, but I dealt with them alone from start to finish. There was no waiting time, they handled the rental car pickup right from Artistic, I coordinated nothing. They finished on time and the results are fabulous. They even touched up my door guards for free. The car is once again like new. They detailed it, also. They sent a lifetime warranty via email the next day. They truly are artistic! They made what could have been a big hassle a minor inconvenience. Great little business to support!

After doing some research by reading all the reports on the local area body shops, I picked Aristic Auto Body of Tigard, Oregon and one other major body shop for bids. Dan at Artistic gave me a fair and realistic appraisal and was willing to work with me on trying to keep the price down on what could have been a totaled car. The other body shop first low balled me and then emailed me with a much higher bid. The Artistic Auto Body bid was right on and the work was done on time and the car was detailed as well. My RAV4 looks as good as new. I was able to inspect the car a couple of times during the repair process and was impressed with the spacious and efficient shop space. The quality of the work done speaks well for the skilled staff. I can?t say enough to praise the good work done on my RAV4 by Artistic Auto Body, Inc, Tigard, Oregon. Thanks for the goodwork! I made the right choice.

Their communication with me was excellent.

They were only supposed to buff out some superficial scratches in the paint of my full-sized SUV, but they also vacuumed (I have two dogs, so that's huge) and left the interior spotless. Also, the final price was less that estimated. Based on two very positive body work experiences (in 1998?), I went back to them for this minor job, and am so glad I did. They are honest about what needs to be done (don't try to sell you unnecessary work/parts), no questionable fees (which happened to a neighbor at another well-known Beaverton/Tigard area body shop), and they finish on time. All my experiences have been with the Wilsonville shop, but I think they all operate the same upstanding and honorable way. I wouldn't even consider taking a vehicle anywhere else in the Portland metro area.

After filing a claim with my insurance company, I took my car in to Artistic Auto to have the bumper replaced. I chose Artistic Auto Body based on reviews here on Angie's List and on other sites. The previous reviewers were right; Artistic Auto was great. My car is red, and about 10 years old, and I was worried about them being able to match the slightly faded red of the rest of the car with the new bumper. Artistic Auto did a fantastic job, and I can't tell a difference in color between the old paint and the new paint. The only difference I can see is that the new bumper is shiny and new and the rest of the paint on the car is scratched and dull. No one I've shown the car to can see any difference in color between the new and old parts of the car. I don't have the insurance paperwork in front of me right now, so I don't know how much was billed to the insurance company to fill out a cost for this review. Artistic Auto was prompt, professional, and great to work with. If I ever need to have a car body repaired or repainted, I would absolutely return to them for service.

We took our 2011 Camry in for an estimate. Someone scraped across our back door to the tire well and left a 4" streak. The service was exceptional. To assess the damage, they buffed out as much as they could. There was a little bit of body damage but the buffing removed the transferred paint and restored the finish. Unless you were really knew where to look, you couldn't see anything. The estimate was the lowest of the other 2 places we checked. We were pleased with the results we decided not to pursue the body work. All this was done quickly, professionally and without charge! Artistic Auto Body takes pride in their work and it shows. We will definitely use them for future needs.

They did a good job. I would recommend them.
