Excellent! Called on a Sunday, reached a live tech (Theo) & he was at our house within minutes. (Was very apparent he left his home the minute he received our call.) Theo quickly fixed our unit & it wasn't nearly the rates we had previously been charged by a competitor.

Great. Here on time. Very friendly and nice. Respected the rest of our home and treated it with care on their trips in and out of the house. Wore shoe covers. And covered the floor. Finished on time. Had some rattling with the fan and they came out the day I called and fixed it. Harold came out to give us the estimate and was very friendly and Bob was very prompt at getting the service guy back to fix the rattle in the fan. Both were very pleasant and professional. Would use them again for future needs.

I felt like the coupon was a bit of a bait and switch. The list of things not covered were all the items I need when purchasing the coupon. I would be very careful upfront with this provider to see that what you need done is actually covered. They did perform all the services I needed, but it was a struggle. The technician was very professional and thorough. The service was performed in a timely fashion and he was punctual.

They did a really good job. We were having a hard time getting the gas line into the house and they did that for us. I had three estimates and they were all fairly similar but I just liked the way that I was able to communicate with Marshalls' sales person. We were without heat for 55 days in November and I thought they really went over and above for us. They're more on the pricey side.

Technician arrived on time. He performed the maintenance service very quickly and efficiently. He showed me how the part was not working, which was in correlation with symptoms I had been experiencing. The technician was very knowledgable, and also had advice on filter use, and how to keep the unit running more efficiently.
Description of Work: Routine maintenance on a gas furnace, as well as part replacement for a worn part. Check of airflow and filter performance.

I purchased a big deal coupon for this company. It turned out very well. They split it in half it was the A/C or heating unit. He said most people do the heating unit at that time of the year, not the A/C. I said that was fine, so he did just the furnace. I asked him questions, he gave me answers.

They've had some personnel problems so the last couple of times, the contacts/service have been"sketchy". I'm assured by the new manager, Hugh Brown, that this has been resolved and that things should be smooth once again. They are certainly not the least expensive game in town, but prior to the employee problems, things were pretty good with our relationship. At least involving the people I've interacted with. So I'll keep on using them if things are good. If not, I'll move on.

Here's what I just emailed to Marshall's: We want to compliment Joe, who serviced our heat pump recently At the same time, we want to note that in the six years since we had Marshall's install and annually service our unit, Joe is the first Marshall's employee who has listened to what we were saying about the noise factor of our heat pump. Right after it was installed I had Harold come out and agree that it was too loud (he said it sounded like an elephant trumpeting, which I thought the perfect description). He had a crew tweak some items. but it was still noisy -- but he said that's the best they could do. Lo and behold, SIX YEARS LATER (aka, after six years of sleep interrupted frequently every night by our heat pump) Joe arrives for the annual servicing and tells us, after I mention the noise, that he'll look at the "quiet shift" -- which he discovered had never been turned on! What the heck? Will you please fire every guy who has worked on our unit before Joe?! It's ludicrous that it took this long to fix. So please give Joe a raise for showing initiative, for LISTENING TO THE CUSTOMER, for being able to think critically, for being meticulous, and for doing the job that six other annual servicers and the initial installers didn't have the intelligence to figure out. Will I recommend Marshall's now? Probably not. I'm still really ticked that Harold told me before the install that "you won't hear it" so I reluctantly agreed to have it installed outside our bedroom (I had wanted it on the other side of the house). Six years of interrupted sleep is a high price to pay for incompetence by a long series of Marshall's employees, and I'm not ready to forget that and recommend the company.
Description of Work: Marshall's did the annually service to our heat pump, which Marshall's had installed 6 years ago. I will say upfront that Marshall's is thorough -- I've never had any other company do the annual service even though Marshall's is pretty pricey by comparison, but their guy was here for 2 hours. Also, they were able to fit us in at the last minute, which was terrific. But my reason for writing this review is to compliment this particular worker AND to open other customers' eyes to things to watch out for with ANY company installing a heat pump.

When the tech arrived I found out that the $69 Angies List coupon special only covered half of the heat pump system and that I would need to spend another $69 to complete work on the entire system. That was annoying. Would have been nice to know that either on the Angie list website or when I scheduled the service. The tech showed up as scheduled and completed the work, very thorough and spent quite a bit of time at the house - like 3 hours. The next day my 6 year old water heater went out?.

System checked out ok. Husband forgot to ask him why system froze during storm, but hopefully it won't again with this cleaning, etc. tech was pleasant and efficient. I thought the coupon on Angie's was for the whole service, but the total was not $69.99, but $124.99, which surprised me. Guess I missed something in the fine print. We do live in their service area of Lane Cty, in Eugene. Important to note that they always do good work and we have always liked their workers.
Description of Work: Cleaned and weather prepared existing Ranai tankless water heater. Cleaned inside of cabinet, cleaned igniter, cleaned flame sensor, ck elec connection, check safety valve, run water cycle, wrapped exposed water lines to & from tankless unit. Also answered questions about the gas fireplace insert ( something they put in several yrs ago) and gave it an ok and recommended we keep this sys.

I bought one of the deals offered by Marshall, Inc. for an air condition tune up. The service tech. that showed up was very friendly and professional. He thoroughy checked all the units and offered suggestions to help us better cool the warmer parts of the house. He even fixed a water leak I had from the cooling unit. He politly answered all my questions. After he left I called Marshalls and gave him praises for a job well done.

I like them first of all because they were closer, and the other thing is my father-in-law have used them. He had a good report with them. The quality of their work was very good, and their responsiveness was quick. They're very punctual. When they were about to get late, they called me.

I have not made my decision. They had good recommendations from my neighbors. They have done service work for me before and that was just fine. His quote was supposed to give me a credit for a service they had just made to diagnose it and it didn't. His quote was not presented in the most professional manner as the others. They are still on my list but I got a better bid from someone else.

I did not hear anything for about six months, so I called J___. He said he would get right back to me. After at least three more months I went to their office and confronted J___. He apologized and said he would be right back to me. Still nothing. I had pretty well given up with them when I ran into J___ at their home show booth. He promised he would get back to me in days. That was 7 months ago. We had a contract. If they did not want to perform, they could have told me. But they/J___ strung me along with promises to deliver, but never did. It is important for me to have relationships with contractors that are two way trust and honesty. This did not happen with Marshall's.
Description of Work: After getting a bid to insulate my structures, Marshall's installed the underfloor insulation. No problem, paid. But when it came time to insulate the structure, they claimed to have lost the full set of plans I provided. Their lead insulation person, J___, came out and measured the structure, and our second structure, over a period of two days. He also gathered information to install a radiant hear floor system.

Marshalls responded promptly to my call for an estimate. Gentleman came to the house. Explained how system worked. Gave me information on State and Federal Rebates available. When I called back to schedule, they were prompt in getting me on their work schedule. Installers were punctual, professional, friendly, and careful of my household. I needed to call them back a few months later to check the system and they were prompt and courteous. Explained in detail how to manage the system. (There was nothing wrong. I didn't understand fully how to use the remote.) They provided a 1-year service free of charge. I have continued to use them for the yearly service.
