Don’t rent property managed by Blue Pacific Vacation Rental. Horrible customer service! We’ve rented a Depoe Bay property four out of the last five years. (The Lighthouse) Never needed the management company until this trip. The unit was short several items such as TP, Kleenex, hand towels etc. We politely informed Blue Pacific. We received a very rude response stating that all items were stocked in the unit and insinuating that we must be either stupid, lying or both. Eventually the staff came with the missing items, but what a huge hassle! And no apology! We will never rent another property managed by this company. They have earned their ratings. 1.5 stars on Yelp and 1 star with the Better Business Bureau.

STOP-TURN AROUND-AND FIND A DIFFERENT COMPANY TO RENT FROM!!!! Blue Pacific is a greedy company that has taken advantage of several different families during the Covid-19 crisis. They lined their pockets with our rental funds after we had to cancel due to some high-risk family members. We paid over $10k for a week in Sunriver, Oregon in a large Blue Pacific owned home. We had hoped to simply move our reservation to 2021, but they refused and gave us 3 days to choose from other bad options that only benefited them. Keep in mind, this was several months prior to our booked week in Sunriver, Oregon. In the end we had no choice but to settle for a 50% refund meaning Blue Pacific kept the other $5k. To make things worse, they did rent the house out that same week. Any decent company would have come clean and said, "Hey, we are whole so here's your refund. We'd love to have you back next year." How hard is that? That is exactly what every other property rental company did in SR. We checked. We have rented from Blue Pacific several times over the years and even encouraged others we know to consider their homes. That will never happen again, and we will share our negative experience with as many people as possible. Our large family has been visiting Sunriver every summer for over 30 years. This company has used this crisis to take advantage of us and others. Shame on you! You owe our family $5,000 that we will never see. As they say, one bad review is worth 5 good ones. Well, get ready for some bad reviews. You've more than earned them!

Since COVID, this company has taken advantage of its customers - many of them being long-time customers such as ourselves (13 rentals!). We also had to cancel due to having multiple families coming from various parts of the country; many with underlying health conditions. It was one of the most painful transactions we've ever dealt with. We weren't even asking for a refund - we asked if we could apply our payment to the home the following year. Not "per the contract". COVID didn't exist when the contract was agreed upon! Rude, would not return calls, would not abide by the guidelines set forth by Oregon's governor. Our own family made the decision to vacation in Sunriver alone, without the rest of our family. We called a few other property management companies, along with VRBO - they ALL had very lenient cancellation policies during this pandemic. Ended up using "Village Properties at Sunriver" - very gracious and helpful with our many calls. Also, we found after renting from a different company, the "clean up" mandated by Blue Pacific is ridiculous! This was the first year, the only thing we needed to do was take out the trash and start the dishwasher - done. Not the case with Blue Pacific. The housekeeping fee BP charges would indicate a spotless home upon arrival - it's "surface" clean but never feels real clean. Blue Pacific is not local and not nice. Avoid, avoid, avoid, and be kind and support the many other local businesses in Sunriver!

I felt it was important to make the public aware of a company out there that is abusing the COVID pandemic. Blue Pacific VR out of Salem rented us a home for this summer but we had to cancel because we have vulnerable adults. We tried to just book for 2021 and pay any upcharge but they would NOT let us and only offered us half our money back. We reluctantly took this but then it has been 6 weeks and we still don't have our money back. On top of this, they have re-rented out the home we booked so now are making "DOUBLE RENT" for that week in Sunriver. Really poorly run company and don't give them a deposit or you may never get your money back. BEWARE!

They gave an incorrect # for the key lockbox at the condo. We tried dozens of times using the written code they provided to no avail. Called the number provided for "problems" and continued to get answering machine which of course was no help.We did locate a resident mgr (not connected to them) who also could not get in using the code provided. He did have a master to let us in . If we had not located him or if he was out for the day, we would have had no option other than drive home ( 7 hrs) w/o our paid for vacation. Entered the unit only to discover the second bath was flooded. Again called and left message. this was on a Sat. We happened to be in the unit on Wed when a plumber finally came to repair. Never a message from the Blue Pacific people about ANY of this. We sent a letter to them regarding all this and again received no response. There were other problems with the unit, but we realized we would get no help from them. All we can do is advise others of our experience. We would NEVER use this company for vacaion lodging again.
