Description of Work: Free quote inspection. | |Not well, rep lost our quote because his computer crashed and he tried to reconstruct his quote by calling us. He didn't seem to even remember his visit to our home which was only 3 or so days after his visit.

Description of Work: They installed a drain in the house and a sump pump so water from rain or irrigation does not come in any more. It was a dusty mess but that part couldn't be helped and they covered everything that they could.

Description of Work: Excellent, professional staff who were honest and forthcoming for all our questions. From the initial inspection to the followup tweak on dehumidifier, everyone was great to work with and very respectful of our home. They shoed photos of our crawl space and honestly explaining the value of sealed area for energy efficiency, keeping all critter out and providing dehumidifier -- making home cleaner with less allergens. They changed scheduled work for us, due to holidays and illness. And, they cleaned up after themselves very well.

Description of Work: Checked my under deck structure and noted the sinking. Explained to me exactly what is going on and the cause. Told me that the best most cost effective solution to my problem was to find a contractor who specializes in decks. |Appreciated his honesty "that in my case Terra Firma could not really help solve the deck problem." No charge for his services. This appears to be a great, honest company.

Description of Work: We just talked to TerraFirma today. We did get a quote for a lot of work. We're not sure we're going to be using them. We're waiting on another quote for the foundation. We don't know who we go with.

Description of Work: They showed up late, rushed the job, and left without getting the permit signed off on by the county building inspector. The county inspector came to our home and said he could not sign off on the permit as the job was not done correctly, and it was not up to code. Numerous phone calls resulted in a lack of professionalism and unwillingness to return and fix the job. Currently have a claim filed with the CCB to resolve the problems.

Description of Work: I was, overall, very impressed with Terra Firma. From the start, Adam listened to my needs, answered all my questions, recommended without putting pressure on me or making me feel I was just listening to a sales pitch, and he even came back on a Saturday with the contract for me to sign. The work (sump pump installation and dehumidifier) was completed in a day by three very professional young men who also answered my questions and even took me through to see the progress at lunchtime. They explained exactly what they were doing, and did a pretty good job cleaning up. I did expect to have to do cleanup after they'd left (I mean, we are talking concrete dust here) but it took me probably 8 hours to get it all cleaned up down there, which was a bit longer than I'd anticipated. However, short of coming back the next day after the floor had dried and sweeping up some more layers of dust, I don't think there's anything different they could have done. They did do a great job of covering all the things that were down there, but just be prepared to put in a good solid day of sweeping, mopping, etc. along with a day to get your basement back together (size depending, of course). | |It hasn't rained since the work was done, so I can't yet comment on whether or not the installation was successful at this point, but so far I've been very satisfied. Additionally, if I do have a problem, I know I can call them and am confident they'll come and take care of it.

Description of Work: We had a trench drain installed in our driveway. I was surprised that the cement work wasn't completed with a more "finished" look, based on its location. Now that we've had plenty of rain since the job was completed, I see that the drain is not actually in the most ideal place to capture and redirect excess water. Other than that, the guys were nice and I would like to use them for foundation stability/repair work... as soon as I can take out a big loan!

Description of Work: We called a few different businesses to get estimates to fix a water problem in our crawl space. Tarrrafirma had the best approach and cost so we've decide to use their services. The work will be completed at the end of the week so I will be able to give a more in depth review after. So far the free estimate and communications have been great.

Description of Work: They lifted my broken and sinking garage floor back to where it belonged in only a few hours without muss or fuss. A regular contractor would have spent a lot of time lifting the building off the concrete and then breaking up the old garage floor and pouring a new one. It was done in less time than it would have taken to set the jacks to lift the building. Loved it and would most certainly use them again.

Description of Work: They were super professional upon arrival. The person explained everything very clearly. The only issue is that we never received a formal quote. We have a sticky note with costs. For the sum of money they are wanting, I think a formal quote is in order.

Description of Work: They examined our house and crawl space, took photos and convinced us that we needed to correct a settling problem. They performed a lift operation and foundation stabilizing mainly around the garage. They also cleaned out the crawl space, shoring up a couple of support pillars, and insulated the foundation with foam and lined the whole space with waterproof material. A sub contractor stabilized the garage slab, and replaced the concrete that had to be removed to insert the jacks. There were 6 inches of snow on the ground when they arrived to work and they inadvertently destroyed some plants and a yard light. They did a good job protecting what they could see, and the clean up was reasonable considering the mud! Time will tell if the work will actually prevent more settling, but I am not anticipating any further problems. Not included in the price quoted was replacement of half the front porch, but this was stated at the beginning. The workers were polite and went about their work in a workmanlike manner, and the work was inspected as it proceeded. We are satisfied with the result.
