Ms. Lincoln (broker agent) was on time for the appointment and seemed to be quite informed regarding her market area. Our meeting was limited due to time constraints on my behalf but she was agreed to contact me a couple of days later with a market research report. She did contact me as noted. In addition, when I stated I wanted to pay a 5.5% real estate commission as I was offered by another agency, Ms. Lincoln was not receptive. I was still willing to meet and discuss her services though. Upon her second contact / telephone conversation, I questioned her estimate of listing home price in that a house directly across the street sold (in 4 days for a lower price) that had less square footage, less living areas, etc, etc. and dd not have new renovations (new roof, siding, kitchen, paint, fireplace, etc, etc) that we placed into our home. I questioned her estimated selling price for our home with the above information. However, she became agitated with my inquiry and stated that she would list our home at what ever price we wanted. I also expressed the fact that many real estate agents working for the seller usually are not the one's to sell the house in that a buyer agent from other firms will direct a potential buyer to a home. In addition, I requested that Ms. Lincoln meet us at the house again after the remodel as compared to her office. She seemed to be displeased with my request as she wanted to perform an agency in office sales presentation. She agreed to my request and said she would check her schedule. Well, Ms. Lincoln called me back a couple of hours later to inform me that "She changed her mind and it was not a fit or interested in listing our home after our conversation." I was quite perplexed with her position and had no other choice but to accept her decision. I was quite confused at that point and informed my wife of this very odd phone call received. My conclusion was that Ms. Lincoln did not want to place very much effort into the marketing of our home and was looking for a quick sale on a lower market selling price (Please note we are out of town owners and not on site.) We found Ms. Lincoln extremely unprofessional regarding the above interaction and due to the fact she basically left us high and dry by not even offering us another agent either in her office or outside her agency to assist us. I would not recommend this individual.
