They were professional and final work was good. But responsiveness was slow because they had to check with warranty company between every visit, so what should have been a single visit stretched into about three visits over many weeks. Also, first new valve stem put in valve body during second visit started leaking. (Was still able to shut off though.) They fixed it again with no complaints and it has held about a year now. So final work was good. But if it had been a valve in a more critical location or we had not been home and heard the failure, it could have been a disaster. Work on the bathtub drain was very nice and we have had no problems at all.
Description of Work: Repaired shutoff valve for exterior water faucet that would not close. Repaired bathtub drain that had corroded and would not close. Work was done on a home warranty contract.

Overall, things went well. I wish he was able to get the parts from a local distributor so that I did not have to wait for 3 additional days for the part to arrive. But it is understandable. However, how fast he was able to schedule the replacement of the part is quite good.
Description of Work: A-temp found a cracked heat exchanger, but my home warranty company did not use their services, so they (home warranty) refferd me to Prestige. Checked Anjie's list and was concerned initially by the report he had about punctuality. Alex came on the initial visit and verified the problem and told me that he would order the parts. He was quite responsive (unlike what I read on the previous reports). He always returned my phone calls properly and when the part arrived he called me and scheduled the work within 2 hours from the phone call (lucky I was able to be home on such short notice). Work was completed properly and cleanly.

They did a great job! They were on time and very professional. They also call 30 minutes before they come, which is very nice!

Overall, did not go well. He was late to arrive, made the return call very late in the evening. Did not fix the leak, took forever to come once appointment was made, does his own phone calls so you end up playing phone tag to set up the appointment. Made up something that should have been straight forward, very stressful and complicated. Work done July 2005.

The initial appointment went fine, but they did not return to do the work within the week as promised. I called and left a message after about 10 days. They called back to say the warranty company had just approved their work. We scheduled a time and arrived punctually and did the agreed upon work. However, he gave us everything to throw away including his latex gloves. That was probably because of the 30 yard dumpster in our driveway - although I didn't think it was good business practice.
Description of Work: Responded to our home warranty claim regarding a rough running garbage disposal. Came out to examine the disposal and found that the disposal was incorrectly installed, but that it was such an old disposal a new one would be required. He went away to get approval from our home warranty for the extent of work to be done. When he returned to perform the work he replaced the disposal and fed the dishwasher waste line thru the disposal and the waste line of the disposal was then routed downhill so there would not be standing water in the disposal.

COST IS AFTER HOME WARRANTY COVERAGE. IT REQUIRED THE WORK BE RE-DONE ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THEY WERE DIFFICULT TO CONTACT, & WOULD TAKE WEEKS TO RETURN, AND FINISH UP THE DETAILS OF THE PROJECT. ENDED UP FINISHING ITEM MY SELF. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
