Greensavers did an excellent job from start to finish. They weren't the cheapest but when I compared their product, offer to replace the sash if rotten and their professional and responsive estimating it was an easy decision. Id use them again.

5/2016: Two years later, we've fought with the install. We found another local Portland company that came out and re-did a bunch of the Greensavers work. When we had Greensavers out last season to fix the A/C (only a year in), their tech said that the duct work and damper was a terrible install, as was the wiring in the furnace and he had to redo the work. After they fixed the A/C, furnace and the poor quality of the damper, we paid for another company to come out and review their work. While you always have to take a review of one contractor of another with a grain of salt (or many), they fixed a series of issues and we now have great air flow all throughout the house. 8/6/2014: So we're a month after we kicked off the project and still not where we thought we'd be. While the company is a good company and is taking care of some labor costs - and they are and have been apologetic, their process overall is pretty terrible. They didn't appropriately set the expectation that their calculation was a much higher temp than we'd like the house set to vs. having the conversation with us to understand where we'd like the temperature in the home. Additionally, they never let us know( until after the installation )that they were retrofitting an older home therefore will likely run into issues that aren't controllable. Greensavers re-evaluated and had to put in a larger unit, get new registers, and put in an electronic damper - they also recommended new ductwork - which was way too expensive at this point. After doing another test, they've now told us that the registers in the rooms are too small. My hope would be for new customers that they'd come with a complete set of issues vs. having us spend a bunch more money to dial in a system we paid 17K for. We do very my much like the company and they are easy to work with...however, I'd caution whoever works with them. If you chose to, you should ask very detailed questions and request that greensavers, very prescriptively, lay out all options and set expectations of what will be done and what the expected outcomes will be given any dependencies or constraints. We spent a lot of money and feel like we need to continue to spend more to dial it in... 7/2/2014: The crew that executed the work was amazing - truly great...and really knows the space. I met with the Mechanic daily, and folks to do the insulation. Great crew. Got there on time, the foreman knew everything there was to know...professional, knowledgable and cleaned up after themselves. With the exception of the project manager being pretty bad, unresponsive and a bit offensive/insulting, the group was outstanding. They worked fast and efficiently...they also spent time with us answering questions...and showing us how to use the new items.

They were really amazing. They were on time, polite and professional.

They did a really good job. We have a historic home and they were extremely careful about taking care of the sidings and all the things that they needed to do because the wood is so old and brittle. They really were very careful and knowledgeable and they really took care of everything really well. Things weren't perfect but they did really well. They were exceptional. That was special care for us because we have an exceptional garden and it was like they had to split up the time that they came in like in two different seasons because of my plants.
