Smooth transaction all around. Customer service was good, quote was about what I expected from other comments on this list. The repairman was 1 hour past their window (9-12 noon, came at 1pm) but work performed was good and he was knowledgeable.

The product purchased from the Design Center was broken upon arrival - it had been repurposed apparently; it was 2 months late in delivery after I had paid for rush delivery; Product found at warehouse after multiple phone calls from me. George Morlan employed handed me a phone book after I asked ''who should I have install this product''; product was chipped and did not come with all of the parts necessary to install. Multiple phone calls and trips to design center; 3rd party service provider, after 3 trips to get faucet to work properly, suggested that George Morlan Design Center ''do something'' for me, after the expense involved. No response whatsoever from Design Center. Product ceased to function again 2 years after purchase. George Morlan did provide service this time and charged me for it. Multiple phone calls to Kerry at the Design Center, to no avail, requesting something be done. Do not buy anything from George Morlan Plumbing supply, ever.

Jason did a great job. He explained what he was doing, cleaned up after himself and worked very efficiently. After the installation he went over a check list that explained what had been done.

When the contractor went to pick up our order, it was not available. This caused a delay in the work. Then the wrong fixture was delivered, and they said we would have to work this out with the manufacturer! Finally, after much effort on our part, we were able to get some help in correcting the order. The sales person said that our order had been ready in the warehouse, but if they couldn't deliver, then that was no use to us.

Dan was very helpful in advising us as to our options for our kitchen remodel. He showed us the actual differences in quality/price of faucets and we couldn't be happier with what we selected. Everything looks great in our new kitchen!

Georege Morlan was slightly higher priced than other companies I called. I actually hired a different company at first, but they did not show up the first day, and were late the second day. They then tried to tell me that I had to pay extra for a special hookup. I then called George Morlan, and they showed up the next day, and had the work done on time with no additional charges. Their excellent service was worth the few extra bucks!!

I had a severely leaking water heater found on Sunday afternoon. It was nice that Morlan had folks answering the phone on a Sunday. The downside was that they had a customer service person who was clearly not fully trained for the job. When I mentioned that I wanted to look at converting to gas since we were needing a new heater, he told me that was a mistake and electric would be cheaper. I tried to explain to him that gas is more energy efficient, but he wouldn't hear me. He pulled an attitude and then pulled himself together. I received three wrong quotes over the phone. Desperate for resolving the problem, I kept working with them. The upside is that the plumber who came for the estimate was professional and helpful. Installers were stretched thin and routed the gas pipe in a really strange way. After full installation and paying, we called again to get the gas line corrected. There were a couple of misses, but Morlan eventually pulled through in making the job right.

We spent 45 minutes selecting bathroom fixtures without anyone asking us if we needed help. When we went to the front desk to see if they had a specific toilet in stock we had to wait 15 minutes before being helped. When we were finally helped the clerk left for the back room without saying anything to us like "I'll go check", he just left. We waited about 10 minutes for him to return, and when he did he stated that they did not have the exact toilet but a similar one. While I was asking if the height was the same the clerk walked about 10 feet away to check the score of a football game playing on a TV at the service desk. He then had a conversation with a co-worker about a different football game that had concluded, leaving me to believe that during the 10 minutes I had been waiting he was watching the other game in the back room. When I attempted to ask my question again, he interrupted me mid-sentence again to have a conversation with his co-worker regarding the football game.

Large selection and knowledgeable salespeople to answer questions and give advice. Prices seem competitive and the products I've purchased from them have been of high quality.

George Morlan has most plumbing parts, but absolutely no customer service. Everytime I enter the store, I am greeted with a grunt and overall annoyance at life. I've even had the experience of hearing an employee complain about the previous customer who came in.... to me!!!!

The salesman was helpful. He referred us to Apollo plumbing for installation. The Apollo plumber installed the first toilet. Then he discovered the other tow toilets would require either a lot of additional plumbing work (and expense), or we should buy different units. George Morlan promptly picked up the two toilets and delivered two that fit our requirements.

I called and made an appointment with a very helpful and friendly representative. Installer showed up on time with the right equipment. After seeing it wasn't going to be an easy job, he whined a bit and said it just wasn't going to work (the sink cabinet was in the way). I quickly dismantled the sink cabinet and then he didn't have an excuse. He went to work and all went well from there. He did leave a mess when he left- he didn't even attempt to clean up his mess.

Incredible customer service. I called about 9:30 am after noticing my water heater leaking in the garage. Technician Brian Knight was at my doorstep at 10:40 am with a new water heater. He removed my 11 year old water heater and installed the new one. Professional, extremely polite and personable, clean and efficient. I will always recommend George Morlan Plumbing. I might have been able to save a little money by shopping around, however the customer service more than made up for any extra $$'s.

I called on a Sunday and made arrangements for a new water heater to be delivered and installed on the next morning. Their tech called at 9:15 am to let me know he was on his way. He arrived 30 minutes later and began draining and removing to leaking water heater. Since it was plugged with sediment, he had to drain it through the inlet connection on the top. By the time it was drained the new water heater had arrived and the two workers removed the old heater and installed the new one (including drilling into the concrete basement wall to attach the earthquake straps). They finished the job, cleaned up the job site and removed the old heater and were gone by 11:45 am.

Terrible. No customer service whatsoever. Do not do business with them!

It may have been a little more than the other quote we had, but the quality was great. He was good. The kitchen hot water tap was not functioning normally that evening. We tried to call the man who came, and he would not call him back. Someone else later found out that the tap wasn't turned all the way on.

You walk into the store and meet a sales person was very nice and found me a white faucet. They are very prompt about calling me and telling me when they were going to show up. They did a nice job. The faucet and garbage disposal $582, and installation $250.

The plumber was on time, he was personable, efficient, even tidy. George Morlan truly is "the water heater king". They know their business. I was quoted $713 on my initial call and that estimate did not change. My daughter recently installed a smaller water heater in her home and was charged $1,200. I wish she had called George Morlan.

We did have to go back to the store when the toilet kept running, the phone clerk said if we came in (on the weekend) they could show us how to make the adjustment without having to wait for their plumber to return. We did, it was easy to rectify, though I would have preferred the installers explain what to do if it wasn't right after a few flushes.

This was a challenging installation because of the tight space under the counter, the changes in both plumbing and wiring since the original install in 1960. Matt did the installation with no negative comments and did everything as promised, on time, and at the exact price quoted. I'd recommend George Milan of SE Portland with no hesitation. AND, by the way, the electrician indicated the old heater, though energy inefficient, was working just great.

They were able to accommodate us on a Friday before a three day weekend with no problem. They couldn't get the old one out in a conventional way but did pick it up and take it away once we got it out. Price seemed fair. They were also able to put it in before the electrician got there to update the panel and power it up. Kind of messy, and left some water on the floor, but I'm still happy.

I called George Morlan that morning and stated that my water heater was leaking all over the garage. A representative was out by 3:00 that day - installed the new water heater and removed the old. They were very efficient.

Good overall experience. They did have good overall knowledge to my questions, and the man I made the appointment with made sure to ask me if I had the right electrical amps for a new water heater in an older home, which thankfully I did. The two men were courteous and did the job the same day as my initial call. My only complaints would be that I have a scary set of basement stairs which they unfortunately charge an extra $100 for a second man for about 15 mins of work. $50 would be a better price. They also left the surrounding floor wet (a wet vac was close by) and left muddy footprints on stairwell and floor.

While the work was done to an acceptable level, the entire company needs to attend "customer service 101" badly! From the condescending person on the phone attempting to arrange the service call to the manager of this store who couldn't be bothered to hang up the telephone while simultaneously speaking to me and answering my every question with "I don't know," this company showed my wife and I that they have grown too big for their own britches. We were NOT informed that the price listed for a water heater did not include any install fees. Shame on us for not asking, but shame on George Morlan for not providing full disclosure. The billing statement lists only the water heater and the service permit; it says nothing about labor, parts, warranties, removal of old equipment, etc. Quoted $369.00 for a new gas water heater, charged $720.00. Another example of a company riding on the momentum of an older reputation...

The sales associate on the phone was very knowledgeable. I was able to set up an appointment at my convenience and in a very short time. The plumbers who came were great - they did the work quickly, cleanly and efficiently. They even changed the pipes to conform to code.
