Description of Work: I purchased 3 complete toilets from George Morlan on Foster Road. They were very helpful in providing the pros and cons of differnent brands and models. When I decided on a Toto model, they immediately identified that they only had 1tank on hand but their manager was at the warehouse and they quickly called him to bring 2tanks to the store. I returned 2hours later to pick up those tanks. The personnel were very helpful in Identifying all the possible parts I may need for installation. When all the parts ended up not being needed, the return process was quick and painless. All of this activity occurred in July 2012. Last night, it was discovered that one of the tanks had a hairline crack in the back which was causing a small leak. I returned the tan today by showing my receipt that it had been purchased in the past year. Then, I was told that it was a warranty issue and they would get me a new tank! I didn't even have to sign anything. I got the new tank which they put in my car for me and had it installed the same day. What a wonderful experience!

Description of Work: Several years ago I purchased all the supplies for my bathroom renovation from George Morland in Tigard. The person who helped me wasn't a big help. I told him that I was relying on him to help me get everything my plumber would need to do the job. He forgot major items that I wouldn't have known about - but that are standard to any installation. That caused me to spend more for the plumber as he had to run out and find those items - that I thought I had. The salesman also forgot to place my order for my sink top. When I found out, it was too late to re-order so I had to go with something totally different that wasn't my first or second choice. When everything was delivered, things were missing, pieces were wrong - it was a total mix-up. I wrote a letter to the president of the company but didn't receive anything (even a form letter) in response. Just the other day: Unfortunately the people at George Morland make promises they can't keep. A friend is helping me out by installing a new water filter. We need a special part for the installation and he went over to GM in Tigard to pick it up. They didn't have what he needed but promised it would be there the next day. That was 9 days ago. My friend has been there 2 more times after assurances the part was coming right in. No luck. He's called - no luck. The part was coming from Salem - not exactly an 8 day delivery. I am beyond frustrated with this company. My hope is to never do business with George Morland again. Once this filter is installed, I'll go online and order parts before walking into any of their stores. Monopolies are dangerous. They can ignore customer service and alienate customers with little risk to their business.

Description of Work: I asked for a plumber to come replace the dip tube in my 10 year old water heater. The woman kept insisting that because it was 10 years old, I really, really needed to replace it, not just fix the problem. What a rip off scam!!
