Classique Floors + Tile

I was very unhappy in the beginning with the lack of response from Classique Floors in regards to an issue I was having with my marloleum floor that they had installed. As it turns out, it was simply some miscommunication. One needs to judge a company by how they handle issues and David at Classique Floors was exceptional! David arranged for another company to come out and "scrub" the floor according to Forbo's instructions. All the finish was removed and this took care of the problem. David and Classique Floors went above and beyond to make me one happy customer. This is very hard to find now adays with certain companys. I highly recommend them - fantastic customer service; both before and way after the fact. *My floor was installed a couple of years ago but they came to my rescue!!

We thought he was too expensive and accepted a different bid.

After sustaining water damage in the front portion of my full basement in early June 2012, I contacted Classique Floors to arrange for a replacement for a portion of the carpeting that had to be removed. This firm was selected because of the excellent work it did following a 2007 house fire. At that time the firm had installed carpeting on both the main and basement floors. I was able to retrieve the original work order, which allowed the firm to reorder the identical type of carpet with matching color, texture, and weave. After a week to backorder the item from a southern facility, Classique Floors made arrangements to send out a worker to prepare the base of the floor and install the carpet. All of this work was completed in less than five hours. The work was done so expertly and the match so exact I can hardly tell where the newer carpet ends and the older carpet begins. I must single out for praise Liz Breimayer, the firm coordinator, who took great pains to ensure that the replacement carpet and pad would match that found in the portion of the basement not affected by the water damage. The cost of the project, which included preparing the basement floor so that the carpet would lie flat and level, was competitive.

They did a nice job and were easy to work with. They have a very nice showroom, people are very professional, good selection of product and they use their product well. They are easy to schedule and I liked them. They did a good installation. They did follow up and they came back when it was finished to take a look at the job and went over everything on the job to make sure that I was satisfied. They gave us a quote and when they came to sign the contract the quote was substantially higher. So I had to work with them to get the cost back down but outside of that their quality was good. They did everything towards my satisfaction.

Very well. I love the work they do and how careful they are to give a professional looking product.

I wanted new carpet in a family room. They installed the previous carpet, did an OK job so returned to them. I had gotten a post card with a coupon on it. 1st: They couldn't find my name in the computer so would not honor the coupon. My husband and I have different last names and they had combined my first name (misspelled) with his last name. 2nd: they were too busy to help me much the day I went in, but said they would call me. I never heard a word from them again.

I was not happy with Classique Floors. I will not use them in the future. The work was guaranteed for five years. I had problems four year later. They would not come back and fix the wood floors.

Through the insurance company they totally finished all my hardwood floors. They did my kitchen, dining and hallway throughout the house. They finished them and replaced all the floor moldings all over the house. They are absolutely gorgeous. We were asked to be outside the house for a week because part of the floor had to be completely replaced. They masked everything and did the job. That way they were able to guarantee that no one would be walking through it and have any problems with it. They had some cleaners come in and clean up the dust. It wasn't too bad; they did a good job of cleaning up the dust. The floor looks gorgeous.

There was a bit of a delay in getting the materials, but once they started it went very well. And having a toasty warm floor in what was a drafty room with a slider door is the best!

Work came in at estimated cost. Father and son crew were very helpful early on and did a great job.

I bought the tiles there and I used one of their installers. I wanted marmoleum and they had it on sale. It turns out that color was discontinued but I was able to get some from a stock when I needed to do repairs.

The job ended up fine but reqired the owner coming to our house to review the work and discuss the service. The tile team came as scheduled and did a fine job. The hardwood installers were 8 hours late the first day. I called frequently and was told they will be there in an hour. When I had questions or concerns I called Classique and was often just transferred to someone's voice mailbox. Many calls were directed to my salesman's voice mail even though he was out of the office for more than 2 weeks. When Classique thought the job was done I was not satisfied. There was damage to some walls, the stairs did not look good, the floor squeaked. They left dust, cardboard scraps,. and glue spots on the floor. Eventually the owner came to the house, we reviewed everything, and she sent the crew back and the job was completed satisfactorially.

It went very well. There was a change in how the floor would be installed, and that was ok. They first proposed the flooring to be nailed however the wood was to thick for nails. They called and told us the installer suggest it to be glued. I was concerned about the fumes from the glue and they said it was water soluble and there was very little odor from it.

It was excellent. They were really easy to work with. The person that I was in contact with for the bidding and planning was great. Everyone in the store was really helpful. I had a couple of issues that the tile guy needed to come back and fix, which he did. The quality was excellent.

We worked with Jerry and he was extremely helpful. He came to our house to discuss our "vision" for the bathroom and the tile we wanted. We had lost the photo of what we wanted, so we tried to recreate it the best we could. As the installation date drew near, we found the photo. Jerry was able to make the changes we needed and get more tile in time to keep on schedule. We love our bathroom. Classique also installed a floating Kahr's floor in our living room. Our only complaint is that they dumped some tile setting sludge in our yard that solidified. Luckily it was easy to remove, but we would rather not have people dump things in our yard.

We used Classique floors to install hardwood floors and granite tile countertops in our home, which went fine, and then about a year later, wanted to use them again for another job, that did not go well. Apparently, the flooring job we tried to get a bid from them on was not something they were familiar with. They had to call in three different subcontractors, none of which could accomplish the job either. But the biggest issue was with the estimator that we were working with, Jerry. As we tried to work through the project, we continually had to call him and ask what the status of our project was, and we frequently did not hear back from him either timely or at all. We frequently had to call 2 or 3 times before we received a response. On the previous project, we worked with a different estimator, who we wanted to use again, and had no problems. We definitely would have worked with them again if we had had the same experience as the first time, but after the frustrating efforts the second time around, we will not work with them again.

Our experience was very mixed. The showroom is great. The in-home consultations for choosing the tile were great but it went downhill after that. Communication and responsiveness were an ongoing problem. Originally, we were supposed to have the work done when we were gone but our consultant didn't schedule it, and when we did get it scheduled the tile didn't come in on time so we had to work around the mess for three days. In the sub floor removal process, the wall was damaged and our dishwasher disconnected. We kept trying to contact our consultant but she didn't return calls or follow through with promised help in selecting the grout, overseeing and checking the work, or delivering the sealer. The last I heard from her was when I finally got hold of her and told her about the wall. There was no follow up. The bill came several months later at which point, I wrote a letter with our concerns. Judith contacted us and was very professional. We came to an agreement on a discount.

Our experience was far below expectations. Communication was a continual problem. On the day of the installation, the installer arrived without full details on the job. There was confusion. The job was completed, but with a lot of stress. The job included grates, which we did not receive. Two months passed with no grates. An invoice came. I explained that I would not pay the balance until I received my grates. I also requested warranty info. I finally got my grates and the warranty info after asking for it again. The work that was performed was good, not great. The entire experience was far below the expectations we had, based on the cost of the job and the ratings on Angie's List. I was truly shocked by the complete lack of communication and professionalism. Two months should not pass without contacting a customer to inform them of the status of their job. I am not sure if this was fluke or just bad luck, but I think people deserve to know our experience.

Suzanne came out to take our information and give us an estimate. She said they would contact us with a start date in a couple of days. We had to contact them a week later. We requested a different color which they did not have in stock so we had to choose another color or wait about a month for our choice to come in. Fortunately, it ended up our second choice was actually better. The installers arrived a little early and got the job done quickly. It looks and feels great!

I was very impressed with this store. The only reason I didn't use them was because we decided to go with a wood floor installer that my neighbor had used and strongly recommended. But if I had gone with cork or marmoleum, (or anything else) I would have hired Classique. They were very knowledgeable, allowed us to take home many samples, were very courteous and professional, and did not provide any pressure for a sale. The showroom is very much worth a visit -- I suggest you spend some time there to check out not only all the flooring options, but also the very nice tile selection.

The estimator was late and did not offer an apology, rather an excuse when questioned. She also did not bring any of the items I had selected to see in my home. The quote left out one room and had to be refigured. The estimator left equipment at my home, which I ended up returning after a month. While the quote was mid-range, I selected the higher priced company as they were on time, professional and worked with me on the pricing.

I felt very good about the products offered at the showroom. The Wilsonart installer we had was excellent. The carpet guy was not as good.

They were very friendly and professional. We would use them again.

The work was done in several stages. First, the new floor was laid. A week later they came to demolish the old countertop and begin the tiling process. Our first workman was very skilled, easy to be around and always cleaned up. We did have a bad experience with the second workman who came to apply the epoxy grout. Epoxy grout is hard to work with,and this fellow acted like he had never done it before. We did request a different worker to come complete the job. A fellow named Bud came. He is nothing short of IMPRESSIVE! He ended up doing more tiling work for us on the backsplash and we couldn't be more pleased. I would highly recommend them, and we intend to use them again when we are ready to put a new tile floor down in the bathroom.

The sales person (Ken) was great to work with. He came out quickly to our house and was very knowledgeable. He emailed an estimate to us the next day. The installer was also very nice and professional. I think the installer (Bill) is kind of chatty, but he worked hard and had the job done in less than 2 days (the job was supposed to take 1-2 days depending on how long the primer took to dry). Bill did a great job with the floor and was very helpful with suggestions on how to tie the laminate flooring that he layed in the bedroom into any laminate flooring that we may install later in the hallway. The floor looks great!
