I am thrilled - it took 4 hours give or take, the billing was fair, the kitchen looks great and the sink drains properly. An extra plus is that there is so much room now under the sink. I would recommend this company without reservation.

Travis came out to our home on time and performed everything wonderfully and professionally. Everything went smoothly, and it took him less than an hour to complete. There were no surprise charges or upsales. I would highly recommend them!

Overall, the crew was prompt, quick, and thorough. I chose not to replace the water heater, so they flushed the existing one, which I appreciated. The crew took care of a few other things, and were able to replace the wall board behind the bathroom sink so that I did not need to hire additional carpentry work. The office was generally good with communication as well. I would consider using Black Cat again.

We had an unexpected leak under our kitchen sink. Rather than flowing out the pipes, the water draining from the sink was coming out where the trap connects. This occurred while we were having our roof replaced and was possibly due to all the jostling the old house received during that time - the pipe connections were old and broke. Black Cat was great. I called them in the morning when I discovered the problem and they had a repairman there by 1:00 pm. He was very professional, explained everything in detail, and fixed the problem. He also took time to look at a few other old pipes that I was concerned about and offered advice about whether they needed to be replaced or not. I would definitely recommend them to others.

We had an old kitchen faucet that was repeatedly clogging with very little water coming out. We had him install a new kitchen faucet and he did a great job, at a good price. I am quite surprised by the amount of water pressure we now have! We've used him a couple times now on little projects on our old home, and been very happy each time.

From my wife's account, they were timely and friendly, work quickly and efficiently, and even did a little 'bonus work' for free after realizing an oversight. Overall, we are very happy with the experience of working with Black Cat, and they're my official go-to resource for plumbing.

They were unable to deal with the emergency situation that I had. So, they gave me a consultation and declined the work. My interaction with them was very limited. They were able to get to the site within an hour of me calling them, which was really great for an emergency situation. However, because of the complications involved, they said they would need a general contractor. They knew their limitation. They charged me $150 for the consultation. I would use them again in the future.

We discovered hot water heater leak in January, began researching replacement devices. Black Cat was recommended by our contractor as a reliable source of estimate and work. We called Black Cat for an estimate for tankless gas water heater. Mike Perrotti came to the house, explored the environs and recommended an electric tank water heater for our basement, due primarily to the age of the house and the long piping runs that would have to be made to accommodate tankless. We agreed to convert to electric and also asked Black Cat to install a recirculating pump under the kitchen sink. Black Cat performed the work in one day and Mike Perrotti came out the next day to trouble shoot a problem at the electric panel. The circuit breaker for the water heater had tripped, so after about 24 hours there was only very cool water. This was remedied easily by resetting the circuit breaker. We do not know what caused this fault; the hot water heater is working perfectly, we have hot water whenever needed. I will call Black Cat for the next plumbing job I have.

Tom Snyder of Black Cat Plumbing arrived at our house earlier than the appointed time (after telephoning first to okay this with us), and immediately set to work. He was extremely efficient and very pleasant to deal with, repairing the pitch of the kitchen drain in no time (two previous plumbers we had hired had been unable to make this repair). For the first time in five years, we now have a fully functioning kitchen sink. Tom then set to work removing the old pedestal sink in the bathroom, and installing the new one. The new sink had been delivered to us a week earlier, and we regrettably had not checked to make sure that it was the sink we had ordered. When we went into the bathroom to check on Tom's progress, we saw that the sink he was installing was not the one we had ordered. We prevaricated for some time as to what to do, before finally deciding to go out on a spur-of-the-moment hunt all over town for a suitable sink. Tom gave us some suggestions, and was completely calm and accomodating while we ran around like headless chickens trying to find a new sink so that we could still get the work done that day. We were also very pressed for time, since we had a soical engagement early that evening. Through it all, Tom remained completely cool and cooperative when he had every right not to be. When we finally found a sink and brought it back to the house, where Tom was waiting patiently, he installed it quickly and competently and without rancor or drama. We were astounded at his equanimity throughout the entire process, which was made much less frustrating for us due to his composure. We wasted his time, but he saved our day, not to mention our kitchen and bathroom. We cannot recommend Tom the plumber and Black Cat Plumbing highly enough. We had experienced so much incompetence in the past just trying to get the kitchen drain repaired that we were loathe to hire another local plumbing company, so we are greatly relieved to have found Black Cat. Long may our drains run, but if they don't, we will be usuing Black Cat for all of our future plumbing requirements.

Black Cat did a fine job. They worked carefully to preserve and repair an old, unique toilet that had been leaking. They sought out proper parts, and got the job done with a minimum of interruption.

Due to the age of the house and the mistakes made by other subs, this was a difficult job (to say the least). Mike kept to his bid, although I believe they spent extra time trying to resolve all the issues. The crew was friendly, respectful and hard working. They showed up on time and returned to make sure everything was perfect.

We had to have the galvanized pipe replaced because it was leaking. Mike came right out and gave us a quote and explained the whole procedure He advise that it would take an entire day. Ken and a helper came out and did the work in just a little over half a day. They scored extra points with me for taking pains to insure that my vegetable garden wasn't disturbed. Everyone was on time and prepared. They left the site neat, clean and were very conscientious.

The website was nice and their reputation as a "greener" plumber was what I was looking for. But alas, since they did not reply I did the work myself and I am sure saved a lot of money.

Quite well. The plumber, Scott arrived on time and worked quickly. He removed the sink completely and fixed the bibb. Then we talked a bit about the water shutoff in the house and other minor plumbing issues we have old pipes here. The price was very reasonable for the work performed, and the discussion was quite informative and friendly.
