Description of Work: I needed the gas furnace and heat pump serviced as I just bought the house and the furnace hadnt been serviced for several years. I used this company because that was the sticker on the furnace. I had no trouble getting an appointment. He was professional and courteous and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions. I would use them again.

Description of Work: so far, just a walk thru and bid of a totally new heating system in an old house. I got the bid the next day. Which is very fast. It seems very complete and compared to the other bids, in the middle but we discussed many more details.

Description of Work: ran duct work for dryer, ran fresh air intake for furnace, reworked some important existing ductwork in house. Still working on the head unit for the air filter system on the furnace....but that is tricky and they are doing a wonderful trying to solve a not-so-easy-to-find problem.

 + 0 moreOverall the project went quite well, the only hold-up was with the gas company coming out. We were no-heat in November and it took the gas company 8+ business days to get out to do the work (including 2 weekends). Once the gas line was in they came out and did the work. It took 1.5 days to get the old furnace out, fix electric and get the new ducting aligned. Also had to have asbestos abatement, they scheduled for me. Took another 1.5 days to install the new furnace and get the final permits signed. Quality of work was good and they left it very clean. They were the most expensive of all of the bids we got, but believe the quality of work was worth it.
Description of Work: Removed broken-down 80-year-old oil furnace from basement and installed a new 95% efficient gas furnace (2-stage with electronic fan). Installation included new duct work and gas line to the house as well as new electrical to support the new furnace.

 + -1 moreFirst off, I would like to say that this style of heat is amazing and who better to have installed it but Advanced. They did an excellent job. I am very pleased with all of the work that was done, and I have no complaints.

 + -1 moreThey were quite professional at first but the people they sent out to actually do the work did not seem like the understood the project or how to complete it. They made a mess of my house and attempted to do a very poor job that was NOT what was originally discussed. After I called the owner of the company and had him come out and see what had been done he immediately had the job done correctly and had a contractor come in and repair the damage they had done. However, it has been 4 months and they still have not gotten the proper inspections taken care of even though I have called them numerous times.

 + -1 moreGreg came out to give an estimate and did a thorough job checking the old furnace and our home and doing a heat-loss analysis. He explained to me in detail the heating needs of our home and didn't do a hard-sell. He provided a lot of information and was kindly. He provided an estimate in a timely fashion, and it was reasonable compared to the others we'd gotten. He was always very helpful with any questions we had. On the day of installation, his two guys showed up first thing in the morning and worked that day and the next until the job was done. They cleaned up well afterwards and were very professional and informative also.
Description of Work: Removed old gas furnace and installed new Trane 90% efficient gas furnace. Checked and repaired ductwork in crawlspace, and installed new thermostat.

 + -1 moreThey were horrible. They took almost a month to complete the job. They never came out to turn the unit on, they asked me, the homeowner, to turn on the breaker. They never came back out to check the unit after the installation, and now they are not welcome in my home. They never provided me any paperwork on the unit (warranty, etc...).
Description of Work: They did installation of a Trane air conditioning unit. The cost of the service was $2000, this was the amount I have paid so far, but the total estimate was $3995

Description of Work: This company had a service contract with me they said expired. They never contacted by phone and never notified by phone of expiration. When I had a problem I called and was told my contract had expired. I asked the office manager to call me back which she refused to do. I called again and was told that they would come out and fix the problem on 6/29/06, but it would be overtime. Once the technician had finished the job he was on, they would call and give me the option to have him come out or not. They never called. When I called again, I was told they were to busy to service me, thanks for calling and hung up on me. I had this company install my air conditioning and they had been the only company to service it. When I purchased the AC unit I told them to keep my contract in force and was paying extra to have them over service the unit. Not only did they fail to perform but their unethical behavior needs to be reported to all on the list. Mgt would not take call.

DAY 1: LEFT PIECE OF SHEET METAL IN MAIN DUCT, WHICH PREVENTED FURNACE FROM WORKING CORRECTLY. 10 MONTHS: GAS LEAK, FOUND OUT FROM EMERGENCY CALL FROM GAS COMPANY THAT NONE OF THE GAS FITTINGS HAD DOPING. 10 MONTHS: EXHAUST PORT CAME APART, WAS POORLY INSTALLED. COMPANY READILY ADMITTED ERRORS, AND HAD RESPONDED WELL TO MAKE CORRECTIONS. APPEARS THEY HAD A BAD INSTALLER.

 + -1 moreTHEY WERE GREAT. THEY CAME AND LOOKED AT IT. THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH HOW THEY INSTALLED IT AND THEY LOOKED AT IT AND FIXED IT. THERE WAS A PINCHED WIRE ALREADY THERE WHEN THEY INSTALLED IT AND THEY CAME AND TOOK CARE OF IT. THEY CAME RIGHT AWAY.
