Very well and they checked out the entire car. Plus they guarantee their work. They were upfront with me on what was necessary for the mileage and what could be done at the next service.

I take my 15 year old car there to keep it limping along. I appreciate them fixing as little as possible as compared with the dealership.

Even though I was a new client, they were able to get me in the same day that I called. That was very helpful. They did the work right then and the cost seemed reasonable.

I took my car into Clay's because of all the positive reviews on Angies List.  If I had also checked Yelp reviews I might have just kept on looking.  The people are courteous and professional as far as I can tell, however the prices are outrageous.  I was needing a repair of a leaking radiator.  I had got under the car and looked for myself and could see the leak was from either the radiator close to the lower radiator hose or from the radiator hose itself.   Every time the car was parked there would be a puddle under the car on the left side(driver side).  So the first thing they did was charge me $70.00 to check to see if the cooling system was leaking.  I guess the puddle of coolant wasn't enough to convince them.  Next, 2 radiator hoses were almost $80.00, I mean really.  Then there were 2 mysterious charges... "supply fee"  $30.00 note that this was not a parts charge, but as listed.  Then the charge of
"other fees"  $3.00.
Anyway, the work seems to be fine, I just feel like I was taken advantage of on prices and will not be going back.

Everything went great. The dishwasher once again works like it should and no longer makes a terrible noise. This was the second time they have repaired the dishwasher and both times we've been very pleased. The technician is also great with the dog and twin 3 year olds.

I dropped my car off at Clay's and got a ride home from their great courtesy shuttle. Clay checked my engine and AC for the loud noise and tightened my drive belts and get me a full oil service. Then Beth came and picked me up with the courtesy shuttle. They did a great job as usual and they never try to do more work than is needed! I also got a AAA discount and now the noise is gone and my car is running great! I have always gone to Clay's and would never use anyone else. I love the great customer service and great car repairs!! Thanks Clay's Auto!

Transmission was overfilled which resulted in oil being sent out of vent tube. However they took truck back in and checked everything out and corrected issue. Everything else was completed with no issues and quality has appeared to been very good. No issues. Truck was used in 1500 mile trip two weeks after work was performed and performed well.

Clay's changed the oil and air filter on my 2003 Subaru. They did a wonderful job as usual and I waited in their very comfortable service area. They are the only ones I trust to keep my car in excellent running order. Good Job! Thanks Clay's Auto Service.

I took my Subaru to Clay's Auto for my regular oil change and while checking all the systems they said my battery was not working well so I had them replace it with a new one. The whole process took about an hour and I waited in their very nice customer area. Everyone at Clay's always take such good care of me and my car, I would never go anywhere else!

I went in because the tires were worn on the edges and had to be replaced, but I don't want to replace them until the underlying cause is dealt with. I drive a Town Car, and they (like the rest of the panther platform) have a tendency to eat ball joints. Given the wear pattern and the vehicle, I suspected that was the case, and that was what I wanted them to check.
Took it in 0800 Thursday AM, got a call toward noon telling me the ball joints are fine, and that the idler and pitman arms were worn to the point of it being a safety issue, but the good news is it would be cheaper. I'll leave it to the reader to speculate on how many garages would have done both jobs, even if the ball joints didn't need replacing. At that time I also asked them to attend to the fluids and filters that had been a bit neglected as well, which they did.
The car was there overnight, so early this afternoon I stopped by to check on it. I was told it would be finished later this afternoon, and that's exactly what happened. While I was there, I asked to see the work in progress, and it turned out Clay himself was working on it. He escorted me into the garage, lifted the car a little higher so I could see, and also showed me the parts he had removed. I wasn't checking up because I don't trust him, I just wanted to understand what was going on, and he was very nice about it.
When I picked the car up this afternoon, I saw right away that they had even washed it too! That was a nice touch that I appreciate. To be perfectly candid, the price was not a bargain, but it was a fair price for fair work, and that's all we can expect, right? They do good work, run a solid business with people that know what they're doing, and that costs money.
Beth, Dan, and Clay were all very professional and courteous, and it's nice to see a local family business that I can walk to from my home doing well, and I find it very rewarding to spend my money THERE. I would not hesitate to recommend Clays to my neighbors and friends.

Excellent service, always. I have used Clay's exclusively since I moved to Oregon in 2002. The first time I brought a long list of things that my brother (an out-of-state car mechanic) told me to have changed/fixed based on the mileage of a used car I bought. The list included new belts, oil and filter changes, spark plugs and wires, air filter, distributor cap, rotor, the list went on. He also gave me a price range based on his shop prices. I took the car and list to Clay's, and asked them to give me estimate before doing the work. When they called, they said that almost half the things on the list were not necessary. Mind you, they could easily have done and charged me for everything on the list and I would not have been any the wiser.
Since then, I take my car in for regular work. Being a 1997 CRV, it does need attention from time to time. When the fuel gauge stopped working, they ordered the part. But when they actually removed and cleaned the original part, it worked, so they put in back in, and only charged me a minimum service fee. They also said if the gauge failed again within 3 months and did need the new part, they would not charge for labor again. The exact same thing happened with the motor for the rear windshield wiper. They fixed it rather than replacing it, again for a minor service charge.
This is typical of their care and service, and I recommend them to anyone who will listen.

I dropped my 2003 Subaru off at Clay's Auto Service and Dan told me they would call me once they figured out what was wrong and how much it would cost. Then Clay drove me home. That is just one of the many great things Clay's does for their customers, they have a drop off/ pick up car. I received a call a few hours later telling me what was wrong and how long it would take to fix. Beth came back later that afternoon and picked me up from my home and brought me back to the garage. My car was all ready to go. I use Clay's Auto Service for all my car needs because they are so nice and my car runs GREAT! I have been using them for the last three years and have been totally happy every time. Thanks Clay and Beth!!

Engine noises are never a good thing. I brought my 16-year-old car in because of what sounded like a banging noise in my engine. I was prepared to say good-by to dear old car. But Clay was able to find the source of the problem and fix it.
Clay's Auto Service has serviced my car and my wife's care several times. I trust them completely!
