I called on a Tuesday to fix my bathtub drain however they said that they had a lot of frozen pipes and could get to me on Friday. I said that I could be available Thursday and they said they would try and fit me in Thursday morning. They said someone would call before they came to make sure I could be at home. Nick called about 20 minutes before he came on Thursday around noon. He got to my house and had me explain the problems I had. One was a bathtub drain I tried to fix, the second and third were to leaky shower heads. He replaced the drain cap, and instead of replacing the shower head like he said he might have to do, he just flipped the o-ring around and made it work. The third problem was easily fixed as well with him just re-taping the shower head. He showed me what he had done, cleaned the drain and cleaned up after himself, very professional. It took less than 30 minutes from start to finish. The price was a minimum $95 hourly charge plus $10 equipment fee and the rest in parts. I would call them again.

Jeff arrived sharply at 9 a.m. and worked for about 1.5 hours. He showed me how to replace the "O rings" for future reference and was very pleasant, neat and professional. I asked him about the placement of the pipes under the sink and whether they could be altered, to which he gave me an estimated labor and time for the project, so I advised him we will be contacting him within the next week to do that job. Very satisified with Jeff's timely friendly and professional service.

Everything turned out well. He had no minimum charge, which I appreciated, and the rates were very reasonable for the amount of time he spent working. He did a good job, and I would use him again.

Quality effort from start to finish.

I called just a bit after 8 am. Jennie ( not certain of spelling ) was very polite. She got a lot of details about what I needed done. This must be very helpful to the field people in insuring they have parts to do the job. I told her I was available all day and that my next opportunity would be a week later. She was pretty sure I could be worked in that afternoon between 1 and 3 PM and I would get notification by phone if any problems arose or a call to let me know they were on their way. At 2 PM Nicke Parker called to let me know he was 1/2 hour away. He arrived on time. I explained the intermittent water running in my toilet and it took him a very short time to determine the problem and replace the flapper. I explained the leak problem with the kitchen faucet and he took it apart and found the problem. At that point we discussed options and came to a conclusion that worked best for me. I felt more comfortable replacing the faucet and he had one in stock that I liked just fine. Mr. Parker was very efficient in removing the old and installing the new. He put a drop cloth down to keep the work area clean and when he was done everything was as neat and clean as when he arrived. All old parts were removed. There was no way to tell any work had been done if you didn't know. My wife and I were very pleased with Mr. Parker and Mike Patterson Plumbing. I will certainly call them if/when future plumbing needs arise.

Work went quickly and was satisfactory. He was professional and amiable.

He did a very good job. He came out and did exactly what he said he was going to do. He was very honest about the work. He had a very reasonable price. I had a great experience with Mike.

We were so pleased from the sweet receptionist that answered the call and even from the owner Mike when he answered another time I called in. They sent Nick out and he was really great. He knows his business and was such a great help...even helped my husband put the small door back on it's hinges when it fell off when he went under the house. He gave great advice to help us in the future by suggesting a pressure valve to cut down the water pressure coming into the house. We took his advice and he came back the following week and installed it in sort order. When we found it a little too low that night, they sent him back out the next day (and no charge for the return visit). Loved the fact we received a senior citizen discount on top of it all. We will use them for all our plumbing needs for sure!

Jeff came a bit early, was fast, efficient and effective.

The handle on our kitchen sink faucet broke. We took it apart as far as we could and felt that it was not repairable, so we purchased a new faucet and called this plumber. He came in and found that the handle was repairable and quickly repaired it, enabling us to return the $120 faucet we had purchased and get our money back. We also had a leaking turn-off valve in the garage. He quickly found the problem and repaired it. He was at our home less than an hour, so only charged for the service call.

I called with our problem, explaining that our water was turned off. They said that they were short on man power do to someone being out of town and gave me numbers of 2 people that had worked for them but had started their own shops. Very professional and polite

I called on a Thursday and quickly received a callback. Once I explained my problem they said they could have someone there on Monday. They were profusely apologetic that they were booked for Friday; I informed them it was NOT an emergency and could wait until Monday. On arrival Nick and his helper greeted me, asked when and how I first noticed the problem, went to the bathroom and started investigating systematically. There were two sinks, one toilet, and one tub/shower. They were careful to make sure I hadn't had any work done which would open the walls or otherwise compromise the rough plumbing. Once satisfied about the scope, they opened traps (new) and verified that there wasn't any sewer smell (just minty toothpaste in the drain :-)). They inspected the kitchen and garage ceilings under the bathroom and determined no sign of leakage (which would have happened had there been a crack or leak bringing sewer gases into the bathroom. After leaving the fan off, they postulated that the smell could be outgassing from the embossing layer between the old and new layers of sheet vinyl. While they were there (and since they bill a minimum 1 hour) I asked if they could try and install replacement tub drain trim in the two upstairs bathroom. The previous plumbers had not been able to budge these (and warned about possibly cracking fittings); this warning had led me to worry about an odd new smell coming from sewer gas in the first place. Nick and his helper had *no* problem removing and replacing these fittings in a few minutes. We were all happy that they could deliver some real value (and complete the removal of the last "old brass" in the two bathrooms). Over the next day or two the smell did dissipate so their diagnosis about outgassing from flooring was likely correct. Mike Patterson Plumbing had sent Nick because they thought he was the most experienced diagnostician for this kind of problem. He took my concerns seriously, explained what his thinking process was and was extremely professional. His helper (much younger) was similarly cordial and thoughtful. I will definitely use them for the next plumbing project I have (although with the house only being 11 years old it may be a while).

Mike quickly evaluated our situation and recommended that we needed to work with a HVAC company rather than a plumber. He called Watts Heating (another A-rated Angie's List company) for us and arranged for them to come and give us an estimate.

Work was efficiently and professionally done.

Jeff repaired three, but said the fourth had to be replaced. He replaced the leaking sprinkler line with a different material that can withstand freezing. He augured the toilets, We ordered the faucet replacement online and he came back when it was delivered to install it at no additional cost to us. He was prompt, professional, friendly and hard working. We will definitely go back to them for future needs.

Renovating an old house is never easy. There are all sorts of issues and plumbing was a big one for us! Mike Patterson Plumbing is just the best. First of all Tyrone (Ty) Bergen Project Manager and Estimator came to our home to discuss all the things we wished to have done and what we needed to have done. Ty is extremely thorough, prompt, and pleasant. After reviewing our situation he had the proposal to us in no time. When the day to commence work began, Nick arrived and worked consistently throughout the day. He repaired/replaced old pipes which were improperly installed or not in use. Nick also replaced three outside spigots so that the pipes are all on the interior of the house so they will not freeze. He removed all exterior pipes connected the the defunct sprinkling system and capped them off at ground level so they are unobtrusive. Next day Steve arrived to finish up what Nick had started and to installed the new kitchen faucet, disposal, and dishwasher. Much to my horror Steve told me that the faucet I had purchased from Lowe's would not work with the two holes which had been predrilled in our new stainless counter top. Utter panic and distress set in for me. Steve very calmly and patiently explained why what I had purchased (even though the plumbing man at Lowe's SWORE it would work) could not be installed. He called Ty and Ty went right online to try to find something that would work. After much talking back and forth on the phone Ty suggested a plumbing supply house in Tigard to look at faucets there. We were successful and Ty actually double checked to make certain this faucet would fit. Jeff was the third plumber to come to our house to finish up and like Steve and Nick he was delightful. Jeff noticed that the hose to the dishwasher was stressed and said he did not want to hook it up for fear it would leak. I ordered a new hose from Maytag which took two weeks to be delivered. Nick came back two weeks later to installed the dishwasher and hook it up to the disposal, etc. All three men could not have been more professional and just plain nice. They were more than willing to work with my schedule so long as I gave them a day's notice. Last but certainly not least, is Jenny - the delightful and extremely patient young lady who keeps all the plumbers busy, organized, in line, and customers happy. Each person from MPP was prompt, courteous, neat, and clean. All the plumbing passed the City Inspection on the first go round. When you need plumbing work done in Portland Oregon, you cannot do better than Mike Patterson Plumbing.

I called MP Plumbing about one and a half weeks ago and spoke with Scott. I explained that I had no idea what I was doing "single mom" and that the faucet in my kitchen was leaking from under the sink and from the 'pullout" faucet. He offered to order one for me but I decided to go out and just buy one myself and then schedule the appointment. Scott was VERY nice. I called to schedule and only had to wait 2 days to have this taken care of. Not bad. A little while before the plumber was scheduled to arrive I received a call from Jeff, my plumber, who informed me of his exact arrival time. I like that. He got to my place pretty fast and got right to work. I found Jeff to be personable, clean, thorough and fast. That coupled with a rate that I felt comfortable with made for a perfect experience. I should mention that I NEVER take the time out of my hectic schedule to write these kind of reviews but my experience of Mike Patterson Plumbing made it very worthy of this. I would/intend to use them again in a heartbeat!

It all went like clockwork. Very professional nice guys and all did an impeccable job. I would and will use them again. Highly recommend them for any plumbing job you may need done. Doesn't get any better.....

I found him on Angie's List. They return calls promptly. They do great work for a good price. They are very honest. They listen to my concerns.

It went great. I am a first-time homeowner and had a lot of silly questions about winterizing hose bibs and other random things around the house. They were very patient and happy to explain things shows things to me. They showed me how things worked as they performed the work. There was nothing too difficult about the job, but all the odds and ends added up to about 2 hours of work plus a few materials costs. The price was very reasonable.

They were knowledgeable and reasonably priced.

Plumber was very professional on the phone. Asked me to do investigative work. Plan to hire in future.

They were on time, courteous and super fast. He even moved a bunch of stuff in the garage to get to the part of the wall he needed to cut out. Excellent service.
