It has been an excellent experience. He didn't try to sell us more than what we needed. He was very efficient, professional, and timely. The treatment that he applied worked.

David was responsive to my phone call. We had to rearrange our date a little (my fault!) and he worked with that. He was on time, was very informative and flexible (had to work around my locked outside gates!). He called later that evening to be sure everything was OK. It was and is still-no pests!!

I was hearing scratching by some animal under my manufactured home. I called Ask the Bug Man based on comments from Angie's List. He returned my message within minutes while he was en route between jobs and arranged to call later to set an exact time. He also asked questions regarding the animal. We scheduled for the next day. He came toward the beginning of our agreed upon window of time. Upon seeing the situation he suggested alternatives for dealing with the situation and explained the habits of rats and why they continue to make scratching noises. He gave the options of poison and trapping and asked if I felt comfortable setting traps myself. Since I was comfortable doing the traps myself, we did not pursue any of the other options. He gave me two free traps and explained where best to place them and how to bait. I was impressed that he was willing to travel a distance for no fee at all. I consider the experience very positive. He also gave advice on how to deal with gophers and voles. There was no charge for his advice nor for his travel time to come out to my house which is at least 30 minutes from Eugene.

I had noticed an odor in our home, which continued to get worse over a period of three days. It had become unbearable, and we were pretty sure something had died in the crawl space of our house, but didn't feel we could deal with the situation ourselves. I looked up pest control on Angie's List and found Ask the Bug Man Pest Management, called the number and spoke with Dave, the owner, and was very grateful to hear that he'd be over in 2-3 hours. He showed up on time, with his assistant(his son who is slender and flexible enough to navigate the crawl space). His son was outfitted properly with safety gear and spent about 10 to 15 minutes assessing the entire crawl space, looking for pest infestation and searching for the culprit behind the odor. He found what looked like a possum in a PVC pipe that had originally been a septic system pipe(we didn't know that at the time of Dave's visit)but was no longer in use. The animal was 10-15 ft. into the pipe, so it wasn't possible to remove it, and Dave didn't want to tamper with the pipe until he knew what its purpose was. The company uses a neutralizer spray, a green product that basically stops the decay process and gets rid of any residual odor. After two days, the odor was mostly gone and we could sleep in our bedroom again! Dave promised to come back the following Saturday to respray if we were still having odor problems-he wanted to make sure our house was back to normal before he left town for the Thanksgiving holiday. I was so grateful to find Dave's listing on Angie's list and so happy with his prompt, professional and reasonably-priced service. He also gave us a very positive report on the state of our crawl space-his son said it was "the best crawl space he'd ever seen." No other rodent or pest issues showed up, and the search for the animal also uncovered the possum's way into the crawl space-it had burrowed under a screen-covered vent, so now we know what to fix to prevent future problems. Dave's service is great, and I would recommend him highly to deal with any kind of pest problem.

I was very happy with him. He came out the day after I called to look and give me an estimate. He came out the next day to do it. He was very timely and didn t try to sell me a lot of stuff. He basically came and did the work and said I might need it in the spring again. He gave me a $50.00 for discount for finding him on Angie s List.

Owner showed up promptly and appeared to know what he was doing. Set out several small samples of bait, both sweet and protein, in the kitchen, where the ants had taken over. He also spent some time outside the house sizing things up and perhaps putting out more bait. We didn't watch him at it. Next day, still ants. We called him, and he came back promptly and more or less repeated the process. Ants declined, but were still a problem. Called him again about 10 days in, and he came again and did the same thing with similar results. This was getting old. About a month in, the owner's son came for a scheduled revisit. Ants very much in evidence. Son dusted a boric acid product around the dishwasher and did something outside. Then a miracle occurred. Within a couple of hours the ants disappeared and haven't been back. Why the father didn't have success is unclear. He certainly knows his business, though.

He came out within hours after I called him. He was polite, very informative and very helpful. We were surprised that he only charged $50 and gave him $60 instead because we were so pleased with his work. He even called us later just to make sure that everything was OK which it was.

He was prompt in coming. There were a lot of spiders initially, and he took care of them. I was getting a new refrigerator, and found mouse droppings. He came back again to take care of that problem. Normally he comes once a month, and this month has come by 3 times to help. He is very nice and I appreciate it. I have had pest control in the past, and I don't like the big companies! David is very honest, and has crawled under the house to check, didn't find anything, and didn't charge! He goes out of his way to be good.
