Issues I had: 1. Added to his charges after the contract was signed. (my mistake: I paid it) 2. Placed water pipes in the wrong place. (thru attic access) 3. Did not show up at the agreed upon time the first day of the job. 4. Charged $700 to move an outside hose bib 5 feet 5. Sewer clean-out protruded from the wall necessitating adding 2 inches to the wall. 6. Did not complete the job, necessitating me hiring a second plumber. 7. When I asked questions about how something needed to be installed I was told that I needed to figure it out myself as his job was only to install it, not to figure out the parts. This prompted me to buy an additional $100 of unneeded parts I cannot return. 8. Refused to communicate with me: Did not answer 23 emails. Answered my phone calls 5 times and then never picked up after that and never returned phone messages. Things the second plumber discovered: A. The water pipe into the house was buried in the wall and sheet rocked over allowing no access. B. Shower controls were placed too deep into the wall. C. Shower controls were angled steeply downward making it difficult to attach handles. D. Shower pipes were angled steeply down rather than 90* to the wall. E. Hot water access was placed absurdly high on the wall. F. Shower controls were placed higher than they should have been After accepting the bid and signing the contract the owner of the business contacted me and told me that prices for the product had risen and that he needed additional money to afford to do the job. I met this request and paid him an additional $650. The crew did not show up at the time they said they would but were several hours late so I was unable to be there for most of the work. Since this was a slab on grade the piping had to go thru the attic space. They placed the water pipes directly thru both of the attic access portals!! I had to move one of the portals and I made them move the pipes away from the second access as there was no place to move that access. I realized that one of the outside faucets had been placed in a bad location: they moved it 5' and charged me $700 to do so. The second plumber charged me $50 for placing a new faucet and that included the faucet itself as part of the service! I have vessel sinks in the bathrooms. I needed to know how the sinks were to be mounted. I was told that it was my issue to figure it out myself. This cost me another $100 and lots of frustration. When it came time to finish the job Mr. Vargas would not answer phone messages or emails. At first he answered calls and would tell me that he was busy on a job and to please send him an email and include my phone number and he would get back to me. After about 5 phone calls and several emails I called the person who recommended the company to me. He spoke to Mr. Vargas and was told the same thing: he was busy on a job and would get back to him that evening. He never returned that call. Painting was coming to a conclusion and I needed a plumber so I intensified my efforts. For the next several days I sent multiple emails (23) and made several phone calls and never got a response. Finally I gave up in frustration and hired another plumber who discovered multiple issues with the work that had already been done (see list above). No, I would not hire Euro Plumbing to do another job for me. I would not recommend them to an enemy let alone a friend.
