 + -1 moreI called Prodrain on Tuesday and they offered to come out the next day between noon and 2:00 pm. The lady I spoke to on the phone was extremely nice, helpful, and courteous. The Prodrain worker came out at 12:45 as promised and immediately knew what to do. He was very gracious and supportive to my elderly mother who was worried about the problem. He used an auger to clear the drain and the toilet worked great. He assured my mother that everything was fine. He was very professional, capable and nice. I cant imagine getting anyone better than Prodrain.
Description of Work: Prodrain came right away to check on my elderly mothers toilet which was backing up occasionally. The very nice young man brought in an auger and cleaned out the drain. The toilet works great now.

 + 0 moreWell every so often after we have sent too many potato peels down the drain, it causes a mud like liquid that clogs the drain. They did a good job clearing the drain and I have had no problems with it since.
Description of Work: Our garbage disposal had backed up a drain in my sink. They ended up pulling the disposal out and cleared the pipe. They used a snake to clear out my drain.

 + 0 moreMario did it again! I was a little skeptical of all the positive reports this company had on file, but they live up to their reputation. Fast, clean, efficient and a fraction of the other bids I got for "hydro jetting" that cost a lot with not much of a guarantee.
Description of Work: Snaked all drains, starting with the kitchen that was backed up with standing water. Replaced parts in one toilet (works better than new!) and snaked the main drain to the street.

 + -1 moreCalled yesterday, arrived exactly on time today. Highly professional, didn't talk down to me as a new homeowner. Quickly assessed a problem that has plagued my house for months. (Like I said, I've had a contractor and an engineer look at it and still miss the real issue). Wish I'd known about this company last fall when I paid serious cash to have a (real) drain issue fixed, talking w/ Mario I found that Pro Drain's rates are much more reasonable. Will definitely call next time I have a backed up drain.
Description of Work: Checked exterior and basement drain system for problems with leaking basement. Basement was taking in water every time it rained, I consulted a civil engineer who assured me that the 'foundation drain' was the problem and that I should pay to have it cleaned. Mario came out, did some checking, then explained how my system actually worked. Turns out the engineer was wrong. Mario explained that the problem was likely due to the rain barrel system the previous owner had installed. (The screens on the barrels were too fine and actually caused some of the roof-runoff water to slide covertly over the screen and down the back of the barrel). So I guess you learn something new every day: I put in a new set of larger screens and I'm good to go.

 + -1 moreI had tried everything to get our tub unclogged (snake, water pressure, Draino) and had no luck. Pro Drain came out to unclog our tub drain within two hours of our phone call. Jim was very polite and made sure to wear his booties in the house. He took about 10 minutes with his electric snake to get the drain unclogged. After he had unclogged it, he snaked it one more time just to make sure. He offered to clean the the tub (it was pretty nasty), but we said we would take care of it. Excellent service here, no need to to really go anywhere else. Thanks Jim and Pro Drain!

 + 0 moreOur upstairs bathroom sink was draining VERY slowly. We took the pipes out underneath ourselves, cleaned them, and realized the clog was in the wall, or worse, in the basement pipe. I called Pro Drain at 12:30pm, and they said they could send someone between 2 - 4. I didn't even say it was an emergency! The representative showed up at 2:30, snaked the wall pipe and removed the large clog, then reassembled the under the sink pipes, much to my delight! He even checked the downstairs bathroom to make sure that was draining OK. The whole process took less than 30 minutes, and I was able to pay with a credit card.
Description of Work: Unclogged an upstairs sink drain in the wall pipe.

 + -1 moreAfter choosing this contractor from Angie's List, we called them and were told there was one of their trucks in our area which could come within two hours. It arrived in about one hour. Their workman [Mario] quickly assessed the problem and with his trusty power snake had the drain cleared in about 20 minutes. Mario was very polite, efficient, and cleaned up the mess before he left.
Description of Work: Cleared sewer drain in basement of complete blockage of lines serving kitchen and laundry.

 + 1 moreWhile the project cost more than I hoped it would, and more than their original estimate, I would unreservedly recommend them, because they solved a problem no one else had been able to. They found an underground obstruction of my drain line into the yard from a fallen tree, using a radio receiver and transmitter attached to a wire originally buried with the line. Once the blockage was found, they cleared it and installed a clean out tap.
Description of Work: Downspout and foundation drains cleaned.

 + -1 moreJeremiah was scheduled to be at my home between 2 and 4 and called just before 2 pm to let me know he was on his way. I showed him the drains I wanted to have cleaned and although he couldnt handle the one outside my house along my parking strip, he gave me contact info on a company that does that sort of drain. I then showed him the other drains in my bathroom. He explained what he could do. He could have very easily taken advantage of my lack of plumbing expertise but sold me only the service that would make a difference and snaked just the tub drain. He respected my request to wear booties on my carpet and was very courteous. I recommend ProDrain without reservation.
Description of Work: I called and spoke to Aimee and wanted a tub drain, two sinks drains and a storm drain cleared. She was able to get someone assigned to me that same day and gave me a two hour window. She was very clear about the costs and they seemed reasonable to me.

 + 0 moreThey found a valve from the sewer which had broken. Tyler was very fast and courteous. It was fairly inexpensive. They really educated me about the problem and showed me the camera images. They also have the best equipment to locate the valve, causing us to save time and money by not pulling up the basement carpet to locate the problem.

 + 0 moreThe serviceman had arranged with everything he needed to do the work. After he arrived, he got right to work and very quickly fixed all three problems. I cannot recall exactly what we paid, but I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable it was.
Description of Work: We had several small issues that Pro Drain fixed for us. Our garbage disposal in the kitchen sink was plugged, there was a leak in the upstairs bathroom sink and the bathtub was not draining correctly. They snaked out the tub, tightened up the loose pipe and unclogged the garbage disposal.

 + -1 moreI called around 10am to schedule someone to rod out a clogged storm drain. A rep. arrived around 3:45pm the same day & was able to clear the drain. He also checked the other drains to ensure they were clear. Quick, friendly, & efficient. The only downside (if you can call it that) was that only one drain was clogged, so it wasn't really an hour's worth of work, only about 30 minutes. But the price ($79 for an hour, 1 hour minimum) was still pretty good IMO.

 + -1 moreI would give Pro Drain an A for Responsiveness, quality, and cost. Removing a drain clog is not a complicated affair, but just needs the right equipment and someone skilled in what they do. The plumber who preceded him localized where the drain was but was not helpful in its removal.
Description of Work: My kitchen sink had a clog that wouldnt respond to plunger or chemical drain cleaner. I called a plumber, who came, examined the trap and said the clog was beyond the trap, leading out of the house. He had no way to clean it and charged $118. I chose Pro Drain from the Yellow Pages. A man came within a few hours, said he was not a plumber, that he only unclogged drains. He had a roll of rubber covered electric wire, started the motor, and unclogged the drain completely. If that is all you need, I cant imagine both a less expensive and more effective way to remove a drain plug.
