What a refreshing experience. I was going through a very bad ordeal with another Plumbing Co that was basically trying to rip me off. I had a minor leak (leaking gasket on my kitchen drain pipe). This other company came out and fixed one leaking gasket but told me there was another leak and they would need to tear out walls and at $35.00 in 15 minute intervals. That plumber would not even commit to a time line. When the plumber left, what was a minor leak was now a major leak. I could not even use my kitchen sink. I called Pro Drain practically in tears. The representative was very reassuring and courteous. She set up an appointment for me. When the plumber arrived he assessed and fixed my leaking gasket in ten minutes. Waa Laa, magic, he did not have to tear out walls. The other company wanted to charge me $800.00 and would not commit to a time line AND they were rude and condescending. Now I am going to hire Pro Drain for a bigger job. Pro Drain is my new plumber. I highly recommend them. They were courteous, on time, smart and most important "HONEST".

I was impressed with ProDrain from start to finish! They were friendly and helpful when I called for their availability and general pricing, and had a plumber available the next business day for my small job. Their employee arrived right on time, was friendly and professional, and worked very efficiently, completing my two small plumbing tasks in less than an hour. I paid and was emailed a receipt the same business day. Excellent service, great prices, and I will definitely be using them again.

Good service and a nice guy. If you just have a clogged drain be sure to call someone like this company and not a plumber. Some plumber won't do drains and those that do will likely charge you more.
Description of Work: The kitchen drain clogged up and would not drain. Called Pro Drain about 1 pm on a Friday and their technician, Shane, showed up about 3 pm. Took him about 15 minutes with his power snake to clean the pipes and things were flowing smoothly. He also replaced a couple of washers and even replaced the head on my faucet when he noticed the screen was bent. He charged $85 for the service call, which was more than reasonable.

The work went very well. We will use Pro Drain again.
Description of Work: Initially Travis, from Pro Drain, came to fix a faucet problem. He did this quickly and I showed him some water pressure problems that he also fixed on the same day. He showed me that they came from the local faucets, not the main pipes. However, in looking at the plumbing system to check on the water pressure, Travis noticed some leaking pipes. A time was set to take care of these and he came back, at that time, and replaced the rusted, leaking pipes. Travis explained what the problems were and exactly what was needed to fix them. He did the work quickly and solved the problems. We have used Pro Drain before and have always been happy with the work. We plan to call them this summer to help us figure out how to put a drain in our front patio area.

Excellent work, see above description. Friendly helpful professional staff. They solved the problem for $98.00, including fixing the sink, adding a part that the previous plumber had left out. The washer is draining freely without issue. We now know that in our case, the older (1960s-1990s) plumbing simply needs to be snaked every couple of years to clear debris that builds up in the line. We will know who to call next time this comes up -- Pro Drain.
Description of Work: We called Pro Drain planning to get a video of our waste line to see if the plumbing needed to be replaced. Tyler called to say he was having trouble finding the house, the name of the street had been spelled with an extra "s" on his directions. With the correct spelling he arrived within about 10 minutes. He was professional and pleasant. We described the problem, and his suggestion was that most likely it was debris in the line, that given our home's plumbing lay-out he would recommend snaking first and if that didn't solve the problem then looking further at video or other methods. He didn't want us to spend $100 on a video to find that the line simply needed to be snaked. We told him we'd had another plumber (American Plumbing) snake the line 2 months ago but he explained that American Plumbing doesn't carry the proper sized and types of equipment for snaking a line like this. Indeed the tenant then shared that American Plumbing had "hand snaked" the line, not an adequate tool for the job. Tyler only had video equipment on his vehicle; he offered to call Pro Drain's dispatch and see if they had anyone in the area with the proper tools. They scheduled Shane to come out within an hour. This was convenient for our tenant who had been at the house to meet Tyler. Shane came out and snaked the line, it had been clogged and with proper snaking was flowing freely without issue. He also looked at the kitchen sink. The previous plumber had also removed all the parts under the sink and replaced them. The tenants had been getting occasional back-up from the garbage disposal into the other side of the sink. Shane said a part called a "baffle" was missing. He installed the part for only $8.00. The garbage disposal and draining are working great now. For $98.00, we have a repaired sink and freely draining washer. Service was pleasant and on time. THANK YOU Pro Drain. We'll definitely call Pro Drain for this type of work in the future and would recommend them.

Great service from Pro Drain. They found us an appointment the same day and their rep showed up right in the time window they set. He was very professional, unclogged the drain with the auger, and also made sure all the pipes and fittings were correctly tightened. (They weren't.) Great service and price.

After wasting time and money buying a hand auger and trying to clear the blockage ourselves, we called Pro Drain and Rooter. This is a job for pro's with power equipment... it is totally worth it. The service was prompt, courteous and efficient. They guy was really nice. It took less than an hour. It's exactly what you want from a rooter guy. We got an appointment for the day after we called. We were given a 2 hour window and the guy arrived right on time. We paid an extra $15 travel charge because we are way out in the country (Unfortunately lots of contractors and service people tack on this travel charge and we have come to expect it.) So for most customers it would be $85.
Description of Work: We had a clogged storm drain. Rainwater was not going down into the drain pipe, it was backing up and spewing all over the outside of the house and garden. Pro Drain and Rooter used a power auger to clear the blockage.

Last Thursday our sewer backed up late at night, before 3 days of big events at the house. RotoRooter came and got things going enough for us to limp through the weekend, but advised us that more work was needed. Monday, I called DrainPro to compare rates against RotoRooter. They were astonishingly cheaper ($87/hr vs $205/hr) and willing to tell me their rates over the phone (RotoRooter was not), so although they could not come out until the following day I made an appointment with them. The DrainPro plumber, Mario, called when he was on the way and arrived on-time. He worked very quickly to roto-root the line and gave me advice about what possibly to expect in working with the city (a camera inspection by RotoRooter had showed an alignment issue beyond the curb). Our cleanout is in the garage, and Mario very carefully cleaned the floor and walls after he was done and lubed the cap before replacing it. I was impressed start to finish.

Mario is the best. He's very professional and thorough and takes the time to explain what the issue is and how to avoid/fix it in the future. I've battled a recurring clogged bathtub drain for a couple of years now and have tried everything from using a liquid pipe cleaner (on a weekly basis) to snaking the drain myself, all to no avail. I finally called Pro-Drain and requested Mario, and after explaining my issue, he took the time to thoroughly snake the drain and found what seemed to be the culprit (a plastic razor shield). I highly recommend Mario to anyone.

Connected immediately w/provider (i.e., no answering machine or wait for callback.) Appt set for "right around 10:00" am next day (Sat). Tech arrived at 10:15; clean, courteous, knowledgable. Was done and gone in less than a half hour. The price is arguably a little high; on the other hand, it was a weekend call. And they really do seem to earn the "Pro" in their name. Would call them again in a heartbeat.

He arrived on time; listened to my description of what was wrong; ran the washing machine and watched it back up. He cleared the line and I have had no issues since! Yay!
Description of Work: The technician cleared the main sewer line so that when the washing machine emptied, it didn't backup into my kitchen sink. He was fast, clean and cleared 50 feet of line all the way to the main sewer pipe. I have had this service once before and those people left a huge mess around the pipe, so this was much better. Would definitely use again!

Friday evening the kitchen sink began to stop up. After a vigorous plunging that evening (which served only to bring up some disgusting metallic smelling black water) and my step-father's valiant attempt to rid the drain of the nasty plug Saturday morning (to no avail) we decided to find a rooter service to take care of it. I logged on to Angie's List and saw a number of great reports for ProDrain so I gave them a call. I called them at 12:53pm and was quickly connected to Mario (after I pressed one for the "on-call service technician"...which sounded expensive) and he told me it would be about $104 and he would arrive between 1:30 and 2:30pm. Well, $104 sounded pretty good to me to get the stinky black water out of my sink and have a fully functioning kitchen again. He arrived shortly before 1:30pm. He gave us a pleasant greeting, put on shoe covers to protect the floors, and got right to work. It took awhile because the pipes are old and plugged up "but good", but he just worked away until the pipes were nice and clear. When he was done he took a look at the pipe in the basement to ensure it wasn't damaged or on its way out, and to our relief told us it was in fine shape. He cleaned everything up, took his equipment out to the van and when I asked, he recommended a good natural enzyme drain cleaner every few months as maintenance. When he wrote up the invoice it was exactly $104 and he was gone by 2:07pm. I couldn't be happier! Fast, friendly, efficient, honest. Highly recommended!

I called Pro Drain to request service for a plugged main drain. They said they charge $84 for the main drain, plus $15 for each sink drain they clear. They said a technician would arrive at 3pm. He arrived at about 2:35pm. He put on shoe covers upon entering the house. He listened to my descriptions of the symptoms. We ran a few tests from different locations. He tried a closet auger (he said it would likely not solve the problem but it was a simple thing to try.) When that did not work he brought in a large power snake. He removed the toilet, and ran the snake down the main drain. The plug was dislodged at about 65 feet! He ran the snake back and forth around the point of the plug to ensure that it was thoroughly cleared. He asked if I wanted him to replace the toilet or if I wanted to do it. I elected for him to do it. He replaced the toilet, cleaned up, and removed his equipment. (When he brought in his snake, he requested newspaper to protect the tile floor. He took the same care when placing the toilet while it was removed.) The bill was $84 (just under 1 hour of work), $3 fuel surcharge, and $25 for R/R the toilet w/ wax ring. I have no experience with others in this business, so I am reluctant to judge the reasonableness of the charges, but the workmanship, skill, professionalism was tops. And in addition he was a very friendly and pleasant fellow.

Our morning started at five during extremely heavy rains with us discovering standing water in our finished basement with more gushing in through the shower drain. Only one of the many plumbers I called early that morning actually answered his own phone. He was 90% asleep but said "Call the city." That's because it was obviously a sewer/run off problem. The city came about 7 and said we needed to call a plumber who could do a video study to determine if the blockage was on our property or theirs. I started calling plumbers from Angie's List. Drain Pro was the only one that could do the job that day. The receptionist/dispatcher was knowledgeable and very pleasant. She knew what would be involved and sent the right person with the right equipment. She estimated the price correctly. The plumber showed up on time and was pleasant, efficient, and clear in his explanations to my husband who watched the whole thing. He was quick to set up, do the job, and leave. Now that we know what's involved we'll have the pipe cleared on a regular basis.
Description of Work: We had our sewer back up into the house due to very heavy roof run off meeting tree roots that had partially occluded the pipe outside the house. The plumber used equipment to clear the pipe and then did a video study as suggested by the city.

My water supply line ruptured under my driveway at 10 pm on a Sunday evening. I called for an estimate on Monday (President's Day) at 8 a.m. Pro Drain was able to get Greg Fort to my house at 1:30 pm that day. Greg clearly explained what would be involved in re-establishing the water service, and provided an on-the-spot estimate. Later that evening Greg emailed me an official copy of the estimate, quoting the same amount as he stated in person at my home. There was a slight miscommunication about when work would start. I understood it would start the next day, but rather that was when the utility locating services would mark utilities. The plumbing work would begin on Weds. Jeff showed up Weds. morning at 8 a.m. as Pro Drain specified he would. At some point after that Brian P. also showed up, as did a third worker whose name I did not catch. When it was necessary for them to enter and exit my home and crawl space, they were very careful about using coveralls, shoe covers, and plastic sheeting to keep from tracking muck into my home. By 3 pm the work was done and I had running water again. The excavations had to be left open for the county plumbing inspector to review, and Brian and Jeff marked out the hole in the driveway with cones and tape. The inspector was expected to review the work on Thursday. After Jeff and Brian left I realized that the excavation next to my foundation (including the gap under my foundation where the new PEX entered my crawl space) was left uncovered. This concerned me due to the large population of raccoons and other small animals in my neighborhood. I have previously had critters take up residence in my crawl space, and was greatly concerned they might do so again with the new open access point. I called Pro Drain and spoke with Robin, who spoke with Brian. I was told this was standard practice, but my very valid concern would prompt discussion during a future staff meeting. So I covered the opening myself with plywood. A second miscommunication occurred regarding the plumbing inspection. I was told that the inspectors "rarely" want to look in the crawl space, so there was no need for me to be home to provide access. As it turned out, the inspector denied approval because he/she was not able to access the crawl space. Pro Drain indicated that the inspector had not informed them of this denial, so it was not known to them until I found the report on my door later Thursday evening, when it was too late to possibly get the inspector out again. Pro Drain indicated they would re-contact the inspector first thing Friday morning. Thursday evening the temperature dropped below freezing, Unfortunately, because the excavations had to be left open, the water line froze and I was without water again Friday morning. The plumbing inspector arrived at 10:30 a.m., executed his tasks, and called Pro Drain directly to have them defrost the frozen line and fill the excavations. Brian P. was promptly back at my house to take care of this. Regretably, the freezing temperatures had frozen the dirt pile for the hole next to my home, and that could not be refilled until the following Monday. On Monday the asphalt was patched, and the excavation next to my foundation was filled, and the weed barrier and gravel coverup put back in place. All the folks at Pro Drain that I spoke with (Robin, Greg, Brian, and Jeff) were professional and courteous, and very willing to answer all my questions. I would recommend them to others in need of similar services, and consider using them again myself.
Description of Work: Installed approx. 150 ft of PEX tubing between the water meter and my home to establish water service to my home after the original supply line ruptured. Excavated at the water meter and next to the foundation of my home for the start and end points of the PEX. Used the trenchless boring technique to lay the tubing. Connected the tubing to the water meter and ran it under my foundation to connect to my existing water service input line. Refilled the excavated holes and patched the asphalt at the meter.

This clog had occurred once before. The last time I was able to get it unclogged by using the $10 a gallon Main Line Drain Cleaner (strong base). This time I tried the same tactic but no dice. I gave it almost 2 days. I also tried a 25 foot hand rooter but it never reached the clog point. From previous experience I knew a competitor, roto rooter would charge around $160. So, I decided to try my luck with Pro Drain after reading the Angies List comments. It worked out very well. They came in and got the drain unclogged within an hour. Next time we get a clog I'll call Pro Drain as they are an affordable alternative to the other plumbing services around.

What a great, easy experience. I called Monday afternoon and Pro Drain had a tech at my home promptly at 8:00 a.m. the next morning. Within 45 minutes, he had snaked out a remarkable number of tree roots to clear the drainpipe leading away from the house. The technician was personable, efficient, and took the time to answer my questions. Pro Drain had said on the phone that most problems were solved within the minimum ($84) charge. I was surprised and pleased that indeed it was so.
