Serviceman did a great job and was done in an hour. He was very professional and didn't waste any time, as we were paying by the hour. The only problem I had is we were told we had to pay with a credit card at the time of service instead of billing us. Not a problem just would have liked to have been told this up front when making the appointment. Also, we were told we would be emailed a receipt for the credit card payment the next day. When the email didn't come I called the office and was told the serviceman had not completed his part of the paperwork. When he finished it we would be mailed a receipt. Also were told the accounting person only processes credit cards twice a week. This is all fine it would just be good to comunicate all this up front also would be good to at least be given some kind of paper receipt at time of service showing what would be charged for the service and not having to wait until the serviceman finishes his paperwork and accounting finishes theirs.

We had a slow/stopped kitchen drain that we'd tried snaking a couple of times before we called. Called late Thursday; got an appointment for Friday afternoon; Jerry was on-time (early). He was very professional, great with the dogs and assessed right away that it was best to work from the vent in the roof. The drain was done in no time. I'd definitely use ProDrain again.

If I was just grading on the actual plumbing work, I would give the workers who came to the house an "A." The two weeks between when I first called, and when the job was actually done, did not go so well. The company responded to my initial call within a day (April 24), and arranged for locators to mark all the cables and lines in the work area. This was done promptly on April 25. I hadn't heard a word from anyone at the company by Friday, April 27, so I sent an e-mail inquiry. I heard from the office on April 30 that somehow their e-mail to me had not been sent. They apologized, but I still had not heard anything definite before May 2, when I rather pointedly asked them if they wanted the job, or if I should look elsewhere. They responded within an hour, and I had an estimate later that day, which I signed and returned immediately. The work was then scheduled for May 7-8. The plumbers arrived on time, worked proficiently through the morning, and had the job essentially done by mid-afternoon. The city inspector came out the next morning and okayed the project. The plumbers came back, filled in the trench, concreted in the garage area they had needed to remove, cleaned everything up, and were done in a couple hours. The work was done well, the price I think was reasonable (if one can forget that it wasn't too many years ago that I bought a brand-new car for $3000!), and clean-up was very good. Still, my water meter continued to run overtime for almost two weeks, and I have the feeling I might still be waiting for service if I hadn't forced them to contact me. Although I'm quite satisfied with the result, I doubt I would call on them again. Angie's List has quite a few A-rated plumbers in the Portland area; I'd be more inclined to try another one, and I couldn't recommend ProDrain to anyone else.

Older Northeast home + rainy Portland weather = severely backed up drains. Two of my drains were so backed up that during heavy rains, water was overflowing and settling near the house foundation. This was a very simple job and Pro Drain kept it simple. They quoted 2 hours of labor but finished in half the expected time. They were very understanding and flexible with my schedule, were prompt, made almost no mess despite the nature of the job (yes, they cleaned everything up) and had good advice for dealing with a few of the rain drains that were problematic. I was completely satisfied with the experience.

We noticed a leak under our sink Thursday evening. The water was leaking out of the garbage disposal power connection. We called ProDrain and they came out the next day with a replacement unit. Afterwards, my wife and I discussed the installation (I was not there). As far as we are both concerned, ProDrain provided extraordinary service replacing our garbage disposal. The work was finished the next day after our call the previous evening (this wasn’t an emergency). The price was very reasonable. Mario had to work around a hot water dispenser yet completed the installation quickly and professionally. He treated my wife respectfully. The disposal is a superior model. I would recommend ProDrain highly for this service.

They provided a thorough estimate, answered any questions I had, and had availability in a reasonable time frame. The work was completed in about three days, and they were on time for every part. They timed the work so that there was minimal time for the toilet to be out of service, which was appreciated. They even scheduled the required inspections and permits, it was nice to not have to worry about that. The only thing I had a problem with is that they didn't fix the holes in the wall that they needed to access the pipes in the living areas. They DID state in the contract that was the going to be the case, and made sure I was aware of that. It was just a hassle to have to mess with it afterwards.

ProDrain gave me a good impression from the start. The lady in the office who answered my call was very helpful and pleasant; she asked someone else in the office when she didn't know the answer. Shane arrived punctually and set to work. It turned out to be a rather difficult problem and he worked through the issues logically and methodically, explaining his reasoning to me. Eventually he cleared to obstacle - and the drain has worked fine since then. He also checked out a lavatory I had been having problems with. He rodded it and found it clear ... and didn't charge for it. It was a very good experience and I would have no hesitation using the firm again - very professional.

Our Experience with Pro Drain was excellent. Our service person, Mario Smith, was particularly efficient, professional, and helpful in terms of educating us onthings we could do to keep our drains working well etc. The fact that the service call was only $127.00 speaks volumes to us about the companies integrity. Most times when one calls for a plumber, you brace for shock at the upcoming bill. This tells us that this is a company you can trust to come , do what needs to be done, and not try to "upsell" the situation. Great job!

Kevin showed up ahead of schedule and cleared our drain. Recently we had another plumber come out and snake the same drain with no success. That OTHER plumber suggested we needed to open the wall to find the problem. Thanks Kevin.

They made someone available to come out quickly to make the needed repairs and @ a resonable charge. They were empathetic on the phone, which we really needed at the time. Their phone number is now listed in our "favorites" and we have recommended them to others.

Water department left a door hanger to tell me I had a leak in the line from the meter to the house. I called Pro Drain on 1/10, project manager came and gave estiimate on 1/11, service was scheduled for 1/16/2012. I had 2 men doing the work. Suggestion: have crew announce to homeowner when they arrive and when they depart. I knew they were here when they plugged into my outlet to use the jackhammer. I then spoke with them about the job since my water would be shut off at sometime. I was notified when they shut the water off but later I went to check on progress and found they where gone. After they returned they said that they took the jackhammer back and went to lunch. My concern was their 2nd vehicle was parked in my driveway and I could not get my car out of the garage. When I received the billing I was charged $95 for the estimate. I emailed the project manager twice before I got a response and had the charge reversed. Yes, I would probably used this firm again, but because of the issues I had I cannot give them an Excellent rating.

It was going to be my problem until it was fixed, so I used Angie's list. I worked with him and it was a fabulous outcome. The guy was an exceptionally knowledgeable plumber and he had all the high tech tools that we needed to find something underground that was a problem. It turned out to be more of a landscaping problem, but the guy was super. He was on time, very professional, very precise, quick, clean, got there when he promised and the whole thing was a wonderful experience. I couldn't more highly recommend somebody.

I was able to make an appointment for the next day, which was nice. They came out on time and did the work well. The technician answered all of my many questions and seemed very knowledgeable. He explained how the system worked (I had no idea) and even drew a picture to help illustrate, which was quite helpful. He confirmed that the sewer line was clear, but recommended I have the catch basin professionally pumped out by another company. I was a little disappointed that ProDrain could not clean it out, and that I'd have to hire someone else and pay twice. But, apparently that's due to environmental permitting and such (outside their control). Also, the total cost was not a ton of money ($95 for ProDrain and $88 to have it pumped out by the other company), so that's not too bad. He was nice enough to give me the name of a company that could do the pumping. Overall, I was satisfied with their work and would hire again / recommend to others.

THESE GUYS SAVED ME - DrainPro sent out MARIO, he was very professional and quoted an amount and stuck to it, when he was unable to get all the way through to the main sewer, he called in the camera guy for an emergency call since - it was so close to X-mas and they did not want me to be without service. TYLER came out and tried to see what was wrong but the line was full of water so he could not see - then the water started coming back up into my basement even though we were not running any water - he said that he thought there was an issue at the CITY MAIN connection and I should call the City Water Department and get them to check immediately - THANK GOODNESS HE DID - they sent a crew and he explained to them what he thought was wrong and as a result they tried to flush the sewer incase there was a debres back up - Tyler did not charge me for the camera work since he said he could not see anything !!!! ... Merry X-mas to me... it turned out to be a city sewer issue and they had to fix it !!!!! THANKS DRAIN PRO I NEVER WOULD HAVE KNOWN OR THOUGHT TO CALL THE CITY - THESE GUYS ARE SO HONEST IT RESTORED MY FAITH I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE ...

I learned that if you want some one to check your rain drains call a specialist. I called someone who is actually a plumber and although helpful (kind of like a first opinion) he advised me that not only did he not have the right equipment he is would be way more expensive.

The company was professional from the person on the phone to the service man. The lady on the phone was very pleasant and kept me apprized of appointment time. The service man was pleasant and helpful.

The technicians are first-rate: fast, intelligent, and nice. Ditto the dispatcher. On both occasions, I received the service call within three hours of my phone call. This is good, old-fashioned service above and beyond. I'd almost clog a drain again to have them back. Almost.

I had used ProDrain previously for a sewer scope and a drain cleanout, found the guys that came out to be helpful, clean, friendly, and qualified. They all spoke very highly of their company -- sounds like a good place to work! While renovating my bathroom, i decided to replace all of the supply lines in the 85-year-old house. Their bid was lower than the other bids I received, and spelled out clearly so that it was easy to tell what i was getting for the $$. Plus I changed my mind about 10 times along the way and they just rolled with it. The woman (Lisa) who coordinates the plumbers is fantastic. Organized and knowledgeable. The plumbers were great -- you could tell they took pride in doing a job and wanted the customer to be happy. They tucked the pipes up nicely so that i can finish the basement some day. They thought of things that had not occurred to me and took care of them (without raising the price). They responded to my questions, concerns, and suggestions respectfully even though i know almost nothing about plumbing. And they worked with me so that I could line up my electrical and plumbing inspections on the same day, even though it meant a couple of extra trips to my house that weren't in the bid.

I called and made the appointment for the next day. They gave me a two hour window for the appointment, but the technician arrived even a few minutes early. He cleared the clog within 15 minutes. He said my toilet was 30 years old, and that hard water build-up inside the toilet over the years had definitely contributed to the clog. He suggested I replace the toilet within the next year, and he recommended a few equipment brands to consider. Overall it was a great experience. This is the second time I have used this company (the first was for an outside clogged drain), and both experiences were excellent.

After a terrible overnight experience during which my husband spent 5 hours using a small snake to try and clear our sink drain, and then had difficulty re-connecting the under-sink plumbing, I got on-line with Angie's List at 5 am the next morning, made an on-line appointment through ProDrain's web-site, and left a follow-up message on their answering machine. To my amazement they returned my call before their official office hours began at 8 am, and due to a cancellation were able to schedule an appointment by 9 am that day. The technician, Mario, arrived at 8:42 am, looked at the situation, brought in his electrically powered snake, which he sent out to about 45', and by 8:57 the drain was cleared. There were a couple of PVC pipe fittings were were either incorrect or worn, which he replaced. By 9:17 am he was completely finished, had cleaned up and done a beautiful job. Unlike our messy attempts to clear the drain, he was neat as a pin, precise, and no-nonsense. I would call this company again in a heartbeat - they will definitely be our go-to plumber/drain clearers for the future. I should also mention that we live in an 1888 Victorian house with 22 steps off the street, and Mario didn't even complain about that, since he had his small, compact equipment on a dolly which could easily be transported.

After a roof cleaning and repair, the roofing company left gutter downspouts and a drain under the house clogged. I rented a snake and tried to clear the drain myself, but could not reach the clog with the rental snake. Called Pro-Drain and they scheduled an appt for the next morning. Shane arrived right on time and cleared both the drain and the downspouts in an hour. Quick, professional and friendly. And Pro Drain's hourly based charge was much less than the competitive fixed price services.
