They do good work, and are always prompt and reliable... and I would use them again.  I've used them several times for an unreliable YORK HVAC system that was installed and previously maintained by other supposedly reputable providers.

I've found over the years that the more you use a single contractor, they get a little comfortable about you being a regular customer and then take advantage of that relationship by continuing to increase their pricing, whether it be the service call itself, the labor, or the premium on the parts (e.g. charging $80 for a $2 capacitor) to cover their overhead; it's NOT always just about inflation and other market conditions, either.  Overholt doesn't seem to do that (at least not as much anyway, that I can tell); they may already recognize that to keep (new) regular customers and get referrals, it's best to be consistently fair and reasonable.

Update: The installer that did the below problem is now gone. I required service from them on the unit and Steve went above and beyond to fix the problem. I have updated the review because I believe there are bad apples in every bushel... Overall, I think they have integrity that the original installer did not have, and for reasons I do not know, he is now gone.

Original problem: Everything went great, up until they decided to wire it in. This is when they tried to poke a copper/aluminum wire connection (without proper nuts) back into a wall, without a box, out of site. My husband happen to see this, and told the man that was aluminum wiring. He looked at my husband and said and quot;huh, it is...and quot; then preceded to poke it in the wall... My husband said and quot;you cant do that, its against code.and quot; He said it was standard procedure. My husband demanded a box be put on the wall, and all connections be in that box. The foreman did what he was told, but wasn't too happy about it. I told the electrician about it, and he was dumbstruck, how could anyone who works in the field, not know connections go in boxes, not behind walls? For this reason alone, I will not have them do any more work on my houses. I did tell one of the brothers about this, and he assured me he would talk to them, but that did nothing to make me trust them enough to let them do another house.

I originally scheduled the service call for Wednesday May 11th. The evening prior I found out I was going to be out of town and called them and left a voice mail message that I would not be home on the 11th but would be available on Thursday or Friday during specific times. I received a call on Friday advising because of the cold/bad weather could we schedule the next week. I said no problem. The service technician arrived on Monday May16th. Asked me what was wrong and got to work. When he removed the protective caps, he told me that there was pressure being released which was probably a defective valve. He said he would replace it. This he did and then added 5 pounds of freon. The system was almost totally empty. After filling with freon, he cleaned the coils of both units and verified the operation of the unit he repaired. When I called for a cost, I was told that the service call would be $75.00 and $25.00 per pound for freon. When I was presented the bill, it was $239.00. there was an additional cost for labor that I was not expecting. I should have been told that labor charges were not part of the service call and would be additional. There was an additional $2.00 for parts which would have been for the replacement valve. The service technician did mention that they had a service contract available if I wanted one. He explaned the cost and what it covered and left the paper with me. There was no high pressure sales involved. I was very pleased with the technicians service and professionalism. I would definately use them again now that I know that labor charges are not included it the service call fee.

They showed up on time and completed work as schedule. They were completed in two days, explained operation of units, thermostats and electronic filters. Would definitely recommend to our neighbors if they were in need of a new heating/ac unit.
