Description of Work: Poor job on placing a Tarp on the roof to keep water out. It did not cover enough of the roof to keep the rain out and the Tarp blew off the next day. The charged an outrageous amount to put a few fans and dehumidifies in the house for a few days while the rain continued to leak in.

I am sorry you had an unfortunate experience. After reviewing your file, it appears that a tornado removed a major portion of the roof from your lake home and caused additional structural damage, which made securing a tarp challenging. We hired a third party to tarp the roof to prevent further damage. The rain that accompanied the tornado did allow water to drench your lake home. We followed industry standards to begin the drying process as quickly as possible to prevent secondary damages. Again, I am truly sorry you were not pleased with our service. Description of Work: They were hired to do home repairs after a tornado had hit our house. They had treated our house for mold and did a great job. We had scheduled a meeting with the adjuster and servepro to meet and go over additional damage that was found. Servepro was late to the meeting and advised us at the meeting in front of the adjuster that they were not going to be able to do the job. Very unprofessional. Thankfully the adjuster felt sorry for us and went ahead and did everything even though we didn't have a contractor there. Only use Servepro for mold.

We also understand your heartfelt disappointment when we realized that we would not be able to assist you during the reconstruction phase of your project. The scope of work, as it unfolded, required someone experienced in major structural repairs who could respond quickly. The sub-contractors qualified for major structural repairs that we normally use were all booked up for several weeks in the future. To wait until one became available would have meant an extended delay for you and your family to get back into your home. Our goal is to create happy customers and to assist them as they encounter emergencies and unexpected events related to water, fire, smoke, storm, mold, vandalism, etc. We felt that to prolong the time you were without your home and normal living until one of our sub-contractors was available would not be in your best interest. You had experienced a great loss and to extend your displacement seemed like an added hardship to expect you to endure. We again apologize for not being able to complete this aspect of repairing your home. We had lengthy discussions about what would be best for you, our valued customer. It was not an easy decision to make. We do hope your life is back to normal now, and all is well with you. We contacted ServPro to come take a look at a problem we noticed in our master suite during a reno (we are doing the demo work). I believe the gentleman's name was David, but I am terrible at names...sorry. He was at our house right when he said he would be, and was very polite and professional. I showed him what I was concerned about, and he did a thorough inspection (as much as possible without tearing anything else apart). He said they would be happy to do the work for us, but that the damage wasn't as bad as it looked. He gave me some advice and pointed out a few things to be careful with. We did not end up hiring them, but they will certainly be the first ones I call next time! From my experience, I would say they are very honest. I have no idea how they compare on price, but I'm not worried about them trying to sell me something I don't need.
