Claudia at Maureen Realty was the listing agent on two homes I wished to purchase. On the first one, she listed a home and aided her seller in negotiating the contract while knowing that her client did not have the legal title or legal authority to negotiate on or sell the home. When it came time to sign a contract, this fact came to light and we realized we had wasted a week of our time as well as missing out on making an offer on another home that simultaneously went under contract. Even after we voiced our frustration with the situation, she kept the home listed on the MLS as well as a sign in the yard. Legally, she should not be representing the house for sale knowing that the her client does not have that legal authority. On the second home we were interested in, it appeared that Claudia was not communicating our offers to her client. We wasted several days due to her stalling on our offer. In the end, her client accepted our offer, but we wasted a week of time. Finally, a fellow employee had similar experiences with Claudia many years ago with evidence of her lack of professionalism and honesty. I do not trust Claudia and believe she lacks business ethics.
