I think they are thorough and they are right on with what their repairs are. They seem to fix what they say they are going to fix and they usually don't have to come back. I've used them in the past, too. They seem to be connected with a lot of Sears' Kemore products and able to repair those. I thought the price was high, but I don't think that's their fault, it's probably the construction of the dishwasher, too.

The technician showed up in the time period quoted. He was polite. Took out the Icemaker and diagnosed as a bad ice maker motor. He had a motor on his truck. Agreed to have him replace it. Quoted $185 labor. Seemed high but thought it must be a complicated fix. Much to my surprise, three screws and less than 2 minutes the part was replaced and reinstalled. $308 and less than 5 minutes total. Highway Robbery! My bad for not checking Angies list. Since they were contracted through Whirlpool, never thought to check. I see others have had the same opinion. Also, they'll argue that I had a choice to not accept the service. They are right but will never use them again. Spend my $308 wisely.
Description of Work: Icemaker stopped working in a 6 year old Whirlpool refrigerator. Diagnosed as a bad Icemaker motor. Replaced the motor. Took 5 minutes.

The technician was professional, courteous, and very helpful in all aspects.
Description of Work: A & E Factory Service is authorized to do Frigidaire warranty service, one of the very few companies I found. My new refrigerator was leaking water from an unknown area under the appliance, and had been for a couple of months before I discovered it.

Really, really, really, really bad. The people that took my call at A&E were not reponsive, they interrupted me, and talked over me. A&E really does not seem to give a $$^$%$#%$. I hope now that I have informed the manufacturer, who pays for their services, they can get them montivated to be responsive to customer needs.
Description of Work: The company came to fix my dishwasher under the 30 day warranty from the manufacturer. The tech arrived on 9/5 to repair the diswasher. He said parts need to be ordered, and he could not fix the dishwasher until next Saturday 9/12 after the parts were delivered. The parts arrive at my residence around 9/10. On 9/12 I called A&E to get a more specific time regarding the arrival of the tech that day. They said that I needed to call them when the parts arrived on 9/10. I told them that when the tech arrived on 9/5 he had scheduled the appointment. They initially refused to send a tech out on 9/5. I explained that my wife is 8 months pregnant, she is having hand surgery on Monday 9/14, and I leave town 9/14 for a week. She would have issues cleaning the dishes, and no one would be home to repair the dishwasher until 9/21. They said they would put me on a cancel list, thus if someone cancels they will take care of me. At 1 PM I called the retailer, and asked them to speek with A&E, they called but it had no affect. So, I called the manufacturer, and they recommended other repair places, but they could not come out when I called them. I called the manufacturer back, and they called A&E. A&E told the manufacturer they would call me and try to do a reroute to get someone out. At 4:30 the manufacturer called me back to check if A&E performed as promised. I explained that I had not heard from A&E. The manufacturer said they would get someone out to my residence, and offered to extend the warranty on my dishwasher by another year for free.

THE WORST IN CUSTOMER SERVICE - this company is the most disrespectful of clients time. Appointments are scheduled and they can not keep the appointments- book too many - and can't make the appointed time s- Had 5 appointments scheduled for a simple repair - tech ran 8-9 hours late - then tech put the blatantly wrong part in our dryer that could have burnt our house down. The 2nd and third techs were great - once they actually got here - my issue is with the scheduling department - the poor tech's have to get screamed at all day long because of the inept lack of service in their scheduling department

They are contracted through GE and we really like the quality of the work. They are good about being punctual and work around your schedule. They are quick with fixing your appliance and they do a great job. They do a good job cleaning up after themselves. I would highly recommend them.

The initial repair did not work and we had to reschedule a follow-up visit. They did not charge us a service charge for the second visit. It was frustrating because we had to wait a few more days before we could get the refrigerator online.
Description of Work: Repaired our refrigerator after a power failure. It took awhile to get them to evaluate the problem. I guess this was because a lot of other people had the same problem.

A waste of time and money. This company is in the business of taking money, and providing very little service.
Description of Work: Repair the ice maker on my refrigerator. Came to residence to repair the ice maker and gave an estimate of repair totaling $270.02. $100.00 for parts, and $170 for labor. The refrigerator brand new cost $400.00. Thus, I declined the repair, and they charged me $62.98 for coming out to my place.

After the tech was there for 10 minutes he told my wife it would be $270.00 to fix problem. We told him to proceed. He took out the old sub defroster and put in the new one in less than 5 minutes. It took 5 minutes to pay him and he was done in a total of 20 minutes. The charge was $179.34 labor and $90.77 for the part. I called the next day to ask them to explain the labor charge for 20 minutes. They said they would get back to me. After waiting 2 weeks I called Maytag they were apologetic, but the only thing they could do was offer me a extended 6 month warranty. They had no control over their service providers. Hard to believe. I did call A&E they told me it didn't matter how long it took to fix the refrigerator that was the charge. It did not matter if he was there 5 minutes or 2 hours. I also find that hard to believe. When I first set up the appointment they told me it would be a $59.00 trip charge. I will never buy a Maytag again. What ever happened to that Maytag Repairman?
Description of Work: The refrigerator was making a grinding noise at different times. Called Maytag, they gave me A&E's phone number. Service tech came out and within 20 minutes diagnosed the problem and fixed it and was out the door. It was a Sub Defrost that he replaced.

My problem was with the scheduling department. The call went fine. We called on a Monday they scheduled us for the following Thursday. They offered 4 hour blocks of time and we choose 8-12 am. We got a call Wednesday evening, which was left on our voice mail indicating the appointment had been changed from 11-3. I called the 800 number and told them that was unacceptable. He said that customer service would call us in the morning. We called at 9 am and was told that someone would be out by noon. The repairman called later that morning and said that he wasn't able to come until 1. Of course we needed him to come and he did an excellent job. The only complaint that we have is with the scheduling department.

The repairman showed up, looked at the refrigerator/freezer and determined the problem. He said he had to go get a part and would return in an hour or so. Five hours later, he called and said he would be another 20 minutes and finally returned two hours after the ''20 minutes'' phone call. He blamed traffic.
Description of Work: Our refrigerator/freezer stopped working. They came to the house, determined the problem and fixed it. Also made recommendation on how to prevent it from recurring.
