Great place for auto repair. My foreign make vehicle had all the coolant leak out on the garage floor. I used Angie's list to get this great referral and gave Ken at Westerville Auto a call. I informed him that it was my only vehicle and would be stuck for getting back home. He told me to bring the car in the following morning and offered to give me a ride while the car was in for service. I nursed the car to Westerville Auto that day and Jack gave me ride back home. The next morning Ken called with the diagnosis that the secondary coolant pump was defective and would have to be replaced. Cost of the part was over $300. This was certainly an expensive part but beyond the control of Westerville Auto. Since this part was not available in the Columbus area, Ken had to order it from Cincinnati. The part was replaced the next morning and Ken had Jack come by to pick me up again. Prior to finding Westerville Auto thru Angie's list, I've had a difficult time finding an honest, competent auto service company. Westerville Auto has earned my business and I'll be back for any future repairs.

It was expensive, but we knew it was going to be so much. They are very dependable. At most places, I am kind of afraid of getting ripped off, but I do not feel that way with them at all. I think they are straightforward and upfront and only do the work that needs to be done. I would use them again in the future.

Westerville Automotive did a great job. We thought the price was OK and the quality of the work was good. I believe they are honest but sometimes I have to wait around more than I think to get car done.

There was no heavy sales pitch nor did they try to get me to come in and charge unnecessary costs. They took the time to ask questions to make sure they would able to help me with their area of expertise and in the end, it was determined that another shop would be better suited for my needs. I really appreciated the honesty and time they spend with me and would recommend them to others.

I chose them because they had good reviews on Angie's list and they were good at explaining to me exactly what was needed.

I requested a quote on their webpage and got a call very quickly from the GM, Scott. He was very professional and courteous to my requests. I dropped my car off in the morning, and within a few short hours, it was ready to go. I was upsold on a few things, but they were all things that I knew I needed. I look forward to doing business with them again in the future.

We are having some problems with the new transmission that was installed, but they are on top of the problem and in contact with us often. We are taking it in the week for further diagnostic. Since it is under warranty, this will be no cost to us.

The steering in our Ford F250 was barely working at all. It was getting to the point that you couldn't even control it, and it was becoming a safety issue. We called Westerville Automotive, and they got the truck in right away. They called us after inspecting the truck, and stated that the steering box had stopped working, causing it to not steer properly, if at all. They also informed us that they knew the reason why there was a clunking noise in the bed portion of the truck when you hit a bump. We were pleasantly suprised that they were able to figure that one out. First, because we never asked them to check on that, and second, because no other mechanicc has ever been able to figure out where that noise was coming from. They told us that it didn't affect the way the truck drove, so it wasnt necessary to fix it now. They gave us the option. I can't say enough about the service from Westerville Automotive. We have been looking for a place to take our vehicles for years, and I believe we finally found one. They are honest, and their prices are very reasonable. We will definately be using them again in the future.

They did a good job. They were very good about explaining everything. They got back to me about any work to be done and waited for any approval. They got the work done quickly.

At 1st everything was fine. I drove the truck home and didn't notice any issues. Since the truck is a spare vehicle I didn't drive it from the time it was fixed (august) until early December. When I drove it in December the brakes were releasing when coming to a stop and the brake pedal would go almost to the floor. I took it back to Westerville auto and they told me the ABS sensor went bad. They wanted to charge me for parts, labor, plus a fee for diagnosing the problem. After some negotiating they agreed to remove the diagnostic fee and fix the issue for the cost of parts and labor. I honestly thought the problem should have been fixed for free. It seemed like too much of a coincidence that the ABS sensor would go bad after the entire front end was worked on... considering the sensor is located in a place that would have been removed while replacing the brakes and rotors. I have no proof they caused the damage and since I didn't drive the truck for a few months it's my own fault for not finding out there was a problem sooner. If I had drove the truck and found the problem sooner I believe they would have taken care of it. I can't remember the gentleman's name, but one of the guys at the desk is very nice and accommodating, the other guy I talked to on the phone didn't seem to care if I would remain a repeat customer in the future. I would probably use them again, but would take more care in finding out if they fixed the problem and check if any problems pop up after they work on the car.

Fine and the price was reasonable they have a good reputation.

I always get my vehicle serviced there. They are pretty good.

I have had a vibration issue with my GM vehicle for nearly 3 years and not one auto mechanic from the east coast to Ohio could figure out what was wrong, VERY frustrating. While out of the country last week, Ken and his PROFESSIONAL Staff fixed the issues that no one else could find. Well, I no longer have that vibration/shudder when exceeding the posted speed limit, LOL! Thank you very much for ALL you have done for my sanity, I highly recommend Westerville Automotive. It is a joy to have my vehicle working properly!

I called Westerville Automotive because they were rated very high on Angies List . They looked at our van right away. They checked the exhaust leak from the muffler & saw that the 02 sensor was hanging freely. They replaced the oxygen sensor & some broken studs & advised us that there were no other leaks from the exhaust. and stated that the rust on the muffler was just on the outer shell. It's been almost two months & our van's check engine light never came on again (one service provider said the light was malfunctioning & would never shut off). Our van's been very quiet & we haven't had any problems since we were at Westerville Automotive. The employees at Westerville Automotive were very professional & pleasant to deal with. Even though it's not the most convenient automotive service provider location for us, we definitely plan on taking our vehicles there for service in the future. They are honest & affordable!

Scott McClure is the owner. They charged me about $500 to $600 for their services. The main issue was with the gears and they took care of something else as well. They were great, professional and polite. The job was well done and it was very smooth when they were done. Their price was good. I was really happy.

They responded quickly with a tow at 9:30 am and had all repairs completed same day. They even retained the fuel as they had to drain and drop the tank. Family owned business, never at any time felt suspicious of the work or services offered. After researching issue and estimated repair costs they are priced less than average estimates. Facility is very clean and accessible. After working with many shops, as I only buy used cars, I will only use them.

Overall, I had a good experience. They fixed my car and it cost less than taking to the dealer. They had my car longer than I had hoped due to a delay in getting a part. In addition, I had to wait longer than expected for their driver to pick me up. All in all, good but not great.

We found this company through Angie's list and were very pleased with their service. Most service companies we checked told us they would charge a minimum of 1 hour labor ($90-100) just to diagnose the problem. Westerville Automotive said they would charge only for the actual amount of time spent, and their rates seemed very reasonable. When they ran the diagnostics they discovered they could not determine the exact problem because the oil change shop had turned off the check engine light and the codes were no longer retrievable. When we picked up the car we were surprised and delighted to discover that there was no charge. They explained that since they had only plugged the car into the diagnostics and could not perform any further analysis or service there was no charge for their time.

Fine. Always great, prompt and reliable service at this shop.
